Hello readers ! Greetings and invite everyone to take a look at my new article.
Life is busy. And, as we all know, it only seems to be getting busier. There are many responsibilities that need our attention every day and the time for silence in our lives is precious and scarce. But what if I told you there were ways you could make this time more accessible? What if I told you that spending a few minutes each day with yourself can lead to better mental health overall !
silence! In a world of constant noise, the name of an absence of sound. Silence can mean many things. It's a word that carries with it both negative and positive meanings. For some people, silence means acceptance and contentment; for others it may represent loneliness or death .For many people, silence can be a welcome relief. It's an opportunity for reflection and time alone.
We all experience moments where we feel alone and in need of human connection - this feeling is often accompanied by an unbearable sense of emptiness and isolation. Silence is not just about sound; it also means the absence of thoughts and feelings too. When we're silent we aren't thinking about anything at all because our minds are empty; no memories come rushing
But even in these moments, there are ways to find peace through practicing silence. There are valuable lessons that arise from being silent: patience, self-awareness, empathy for others who might not have what you do - these too come with practice!
Why do we need silence :
We all crave silence, but have you ever thought about why it's so important to for us? It's the cure for what ails you, the balm that soothes your soul. The peace of mind & can only be found in solitude."
The world today moves at an unrelenting pace; there seems to be no time to stop and think about what we are doing or how it makes us feel. The media constantly bombards us with information and noise which breeds anxiety and stress.
When reading this article , think about how your life would be without any noise at all- no music or TV or anything else that distracts you from focusing on what matters most in life.
That might seem like paradise for some people, but for the majority of us the absence of noise can feel lonely and isolating.
How does it help heal the body?
Does it make you feel like the only person in the world, or maybe someone who is lost and just needs to be found? It's not just about quieting your mind for a few minutes. When we're silent, our body releases endorphins that help us heal emotionally and physically. These chemicals help reduce pain levels by blocking pain signals from being sent to our brain. Not only can it heal physical ailments but mental ones as well--helping with stress, anxiety, depression and so much more!
The benefits of silence are many- It lowers blood pressure levels. Improves moods by reducing stress hormones which also helps with sleep problems and anxiety disorders. Boosts creativity among other things. Enhancing listening skills. Reduces stress levels . improves concentration. Increases focus. Boosts moods-the list goes on! We need it more than ever before because life is just too noisy!
How to harness the power of silence:
You've heard it before. "Quiet, please." "Shh!" We all know how to be quiet. But do you really? Silence can have many meanings and effects on the world around us. Thoughts are also silenced in the silence of meditation, prayer, or reflection.
In today's world, silence can seem like a rare luxury. In fact, the average person will spend about 92% of their life in silence—and that is not including sleep time! Silence can be a powerful tool for reflection and meditation, but it also has many other benefits as well.
Silence is one of the most effective ways to communicate with yourself. "So how do you harness the power of silence? Well first off, turn off your phone so you don't get distracted by social media updates or text messages coming in.
In fact, if you're feeling really stressed out or overwhelmed by life, go find a place where there is no noise and just sit for five to ten minutes without doing anything else; this will help clear your mind and allow you to focus on what's important in your life at that moment.
In his TED talk, "The power of silence," Dr. Srinivasan Pillay says that taking time out from our busy lives to spend time alone with our thoughts can actually be good for us.
In his research, he found that people who meditate or go into solitude have higher levels of creativity and empathy than those who don't practice these activities regularly. Silence has even been shown to help marriages by reducing conflict between partners because it gives them more opportunities to communicate more effectively when they are together again.
So silence is actually really rich. It's like the calm before the storm or a hug that never ends."
Silence is not always golden:
"We all know that sometimes we just need to be silent and think out our problems, but this isn't always the answer. Sometimes silence can be a bad thing. It is not always golden, and it can be used as a weapon in some cases. It can be hurtful and not worth the benefits of being quiet.
What do you think of when you hear the word "silence"? Do you imagine sitting in a room with no sound? Maybe concentrating on nothing at all? Or maybe, just enjoying some time alone. What about listening to your favorite song without any outside noise?
What's so interesting is that silence can evoke many different feelings and thoughts. But what if I told you that having too much silence could have an adverse effect on your health? It can lead to stress or anxiety, which are both linked to heart disease, diabetes, depression and other illnesses. With this information in mind it's important to find ways of creating moments for yourself where silence is welcomed instead of avoided!
Author's message at the end:
Silence is not something that we often think about. It's a word that has been diluted and misused for so long, that it has lost its weight. Silence is what you hear when there's nothing to be heard. It's the pause before someone speaks up or after they've said everything they need to say (and sometimes more). But silence can also be found in places where people are speaking-in between words, sentences, conversations. More than just a lack of noise, silence is a presence with power and meaning all its own-a way of being still and listening hard for God's voice amid the chaos around us.
