• Prioritise Godly Relationship
There is no one Source of Knowledge.
We need one another in the Faith.
Don't be too holy that you don't have Relationship with people. It's very important. Nobody cares how much you know but how much you care.
Treasure godly Relationship.
Treasure godly Relationship than worldly Treasures.
People are important than things.People are Important in your Life Journey than things.
Our Lord Jesus Christ set time aside often to minister to People. He sets time to relate with Men. You are not a Monk you are a Member of the Body of Christ.
•Prioritise Self Development
Nobody is anointed to Become the Best . The Best in you will not come out without Development.
The Best of your gifts will come out with Development.
Your gifts at its default stage can not make you Great. Prioritise working on yourself.
The secret of consistent champions is continuous improvement.
Note this, There are times you read Bible for Devotional sake and also there are times you are to Read Bible to Grow and develop Yourself.
Beloved! This your Current level of preparation will not qualify you to enter your Future. More is demanded. Don't be too busy that you do not have time to build yourself. Be not be too busy that you lack quality time to work on your self.

It is very important we understand some truth about life as we continue in the quest to be like Jesus. Having the right perspective about life helps us to overcome every seemingly challenges it might bring along our path.
There are too many people who regrets at the tail end of their life . The reason for this woe is perhaps because many are bereft of a right understanding about life.
*The truth is that when the purpose of life is not understood, life ends with regrets and it is lived as a burden.
Facts about life
Life is a Gift
Life is a gift and it must be lived to the pleasure of the Giver. Life is not your right but a Gift given by God to all his children.
You will be full of gratitude by knowing that life is indeed a Gift.
It is given from to you as a trust from the Lord.
As a Gift, life must be lived with appreciation. Life must never be taken for granted.
Permit me to say that, You take your life for granted provided you are far from Christ.
Life is a Seed
Undoubtedly, how we live today determines how we end tomorrow. Every action is a seed. You can sow either good or bad seeds. For whatsoever a man sows, he shall reap.
Living is Seeding.You are sowing seeds each day. Anytime you lie or speak the truth, you have sown a seed. You sow seeds by putting smiles in people's face.
You sow seeds by every seemingly good or bad actions you take.
*How you live in time determines where you will end in eternity. Seeds you sow on Earth will be determined by the harvest to expect in Heaven.
Beloved, live well and live profitably. All your actions in life has consequences.

As we journey to Become Like Jesus, we need to Make Him the first.
Priorities is what you give special attention to, priorities is Placing first thing first.
It is your preference above many other things.
It is the first in impotance of urgency.
So many has prioritied failure . They are where they are because they never prioritise.
Things you should Prioritise Daily
• Prioritise the art of Praying
The Secret Place should not be secondary in your daily Assignment. Place of Prayers should not be boring and a routine to you.
The Secret place should be the first in all your planning.Prioritise your Quiet time and Devotion with God. What you Prioritise you empower.
You will never have a Strong Prayer life if you fail to make Prayer a Priority. Infact you won't have a prayer life if you don't plan to pray.
You will never Have a Strong Spiritual Life if you do not Place prayer above all other routines. Excuses of I don't have time to pray, I am busy will not be mentioned in your mouth If Prayer is your Priority.
• Prioritise Reading of God's Word
Too many has Bible but never read. Spiritual things will not always be convenient for the flesh until you Prioritise.
What you make a Priority is important to you and you value it.Treasure God's word daily. value it. Job said God's word is His Necessary food. He equated the word with something he cannot do without. If you can do without reading your Bible, you Are heading A part of Destruction.
• Prioritise Giving and paying of Tithes
Beloved, To be among the Wealthy ones you need more than a Business ideas, you need to be a Giver. A Committed Kingdom Giver.
You will never Outgrow what you cannot give.You will never be a Master of what you cannot give. If you cannot give that Car, you will never be in a Position to command Cars. You reign over what you give . You will forever remain a slave of what you cannot give.
Beloved, is tithe a Struggle to you? You struggle to pay tithes because you never consider it important.
Let there be a Change today!!

1. A leader is a servant to all. If you don't have a heart to serve others without looking for reward, you are not a leader
2. If you can't withstand criticism and you can't withstand and survive the havoc of hate speech, you are not a leader

4. If you stop doing good because nobody recognizes your kind gesture, you are not a leader
5. If you see your followers making mistakes, but you keep quiet saying, "If they don't call me for advice, I will allow them learn by experience." Your attitude depicts that you are not a leader
6. Do you have the Pull them Down syndrome? When you see someone doing better than you, what do you do, encourage or pull them down?
7. A genuine leader should not desire the downfall of his followers who are better than him.
8. If you close doors for your subordinates because you are afraid they will be far better than you, you are not a leader
9. If you don't produce your kind. You are the only champion doing great and mighty things, you are not a leader
Never forget that every good leader must have a better successor.
10. As a leader, you must feed on knowledge. Don't be stagnant, improve yourself so you can make impact.
11. As a leader, be a ladder for others to climb to the top. Don't pull them down. Your desire should be to make your followers better than yourself.
12. Be humble, let them learn from your mistakes. Do not watch them grope in darkness when you can guide them as a light.
13. A leader should be compassionate. How can you be comfortable when your followers are living in abject poverty?
14. A leader should have the heart of a father. A father leads and ensures his family is safe. A good leader should provide for his own people sacrificially without using them for his personal agenda
15. A leader should have the heart of a mother. When the child is sick, the mother runs helter skelter to ensure his quick recovery.
Why do you pretend you don't know your followers are suffering?
16. A leader should not allow evil people to make him wicked. No matter how good you are, some people will not like you.
17. A leader should not allow evil to prevail in the land because of his personal interest.
Do what is right for conscience sake and leave the rest.
18. A leader should not be partial in judgement. We need leaders who can be fair in judgement.
19. Be a voice to the voiceless in the society without fear nor favour. Treat the rich and the poor alike with love and kindness.

An open door that cannot be shut
“An open door that cannot be shut “taken from Revelation 3:8.
The above quoted scripture was a word of prophecy for a particular church in an area called Philadelphia. It was not for all the churches within that area but it was a word for a particular congregation that pleased God in their deeds and actions. It was a word for a particular congregation that was doing the will of God. The Lord will place an open door before those who do His will. The easiest way to access an open door is by doing the will of God. When you are doing God’s will, you don’t need to struggle to open the door. Jesus Christ has already done the work and opened the door, all you have to do is to go in and make progress.
However, before we talk more about the open door that no man can shut, we need to examine ourselves whether we are doing the will of God. As individuals, are we doing God's will? Collectively as a church or churches, are we doing God's will? God is always pleased with those who do His will. Even our Lord Jesus Christ pleased the Father by doing His will. Matthew 3:17. By coming to this earth as a man and offering His life on the Cross of Calvary, Jesus Christ did the will of God. Hebrews 10:5-7 says " Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God."
For the atonement of the sins of men, the sacrifice of sinless bulls and goat could never atone for the sins of men so the sacrifice of a sinless body was needed. Jesus Christ offered to take the body of man and come to this world. By so doing, Christ was doing just the will of the Father. By offering His body on the Cross, Jesus Christ was doing the will of the Father, through His death and resurrection, Christ was doing the will of the Father. Luke 22:42 confirms it." Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done."
Jesus Christ, the first born of the New Creation of God came to this world singularly to do the will of the Father. So if you are a follower of Christ, you must be ready to do the will of God, you were created and called to do the will of the Farher. In fact, in heaven, what the citizens of heaven are doing at all times is the will of the Father. According to the Lord’s Prayer; Luke 11:2 “And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth."
What they do in heaven is the will of the Father and God also expects those who are His children to do His will here on earth. God created you and sent you to this earth to do His will. God gave you your physical body so you can use it to do His will on this earth. Let’s examine ourselves, have we been doing the will of the Father as that is our primary purpose of being here on earth. You were given your body, your physical beauty, your beautiful voice, physical strength, stamina, intellect, bloodline, relationships, connections, skin colour, family connections, community and your nation for just a particular reason which is to do the will of God just as it is being done in heaven. Not to do your own will but God's will. So, if your desire is to go to heaven as a Christian, you need to be aware that heaven is a place where they do the will of God so you should also learn how to do the will of God here on the earth before going to heaven. In heaven, the angels and citizens of heaven always do God’s will. If we cannot do God’s will here on earth, how are we going to cope in heaven. To do God's will is to submit our self will to what the word of God says. To do God's will is to submit to the Spirit of God within us Who is called the Holy Spirit. When we submit to the Holy Spirit, He will open our eyes to see the doors which God has opened and no man can shut. When we submit to the Holy Spirit, we will not miss our open doors. When we submit to the Holy Spirit, we will also not enter into wrong doors. Many believers are struggling with life and destiny today because they have entered into some wrong doors.
A door is an interface between two different environments or realms. Just as we see physical doors around us everyday, there are also spiritual doors. Anytime you want to move from one level to another level in life, you must pass through a door. If the door is closed, you will experience delay in moving to the next level but once the door has been opened, no power can delay you or stop you. Doors control access into places. Door secures places and people. Doors allow movement and progress and doors can also prevent movement and progress. Every door is controlled by an authority. Most times, the authority that controls a door holds the key to the door. The good news for you is that Jesus Christ is the only authority who can open and no man can shut and when He shuts, no man can open. Revelation 3:7. When Christ has set an open door before you, it only means that Jesus Christ has finished the work for you, all you have to do is to enter the door to your next level of progress. Unfortunately, many are not spiritually sensitive to discern or discover the door that has been opened before them and they continue to struggle in frustration.
When a door is opened before you, you don't need a key to enter as it is already open. God has already seen your works in ministry of the gospel, thanksgiving, praying and fasting, showing love to others, mercy and forgiveness. What you now need is spiritual discernment to identify the open doors before you. Ephesians 1:18. Says “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,". Your eyes of enlightenment need to be opened to discover the doors that God has already opened for you.
For some of us, your open door is a person you walk by everyday but you don’t recognize him or her. Your open door might be a relationship which you look down upon. Some people's open door can be a talented gift, such as musical voice, playing of instruments, speaking gift, hospitality, welfare etc but you have been neglecting it because you are yet to discern it. The widow in 2 kings 4:1-7 had an open door before her in the form of a jar of oil but she despised it until her eyes were opened when she encountered the man of God. Moses carried his rod about for several years without knowing the value and power of God in the rod. Namaan‘s Jewish servant girl was an open door before him but he almost missed it. 2 Kings 5: 1-14. Be careful how you treat people as you don’t know who God has placed before you as an open door. Every human being you encounter, whether good or bad, believer or unbeliever is a creation of God, an extension of God so be careful to shine your light at every given opportunity as God is watching.
An open door is an opportunity. An open door is a moment of decision, a moment of reflection and repentance. The prodigal son said to himself, I will arise and go back to my father. That was an open door for him. It was an opportunity for him to start a new life by going back to the father to apologize and seek forgiveness. Luke 15:11-32.
The door has already been opened by Jesus Christ but you still have to make a decision to enter into it. You still have to take a step into the open door to access your blessings. God will not force you into the open door as God does not force His will on us. You have to make your choice to trust God by believing in His word.
When God opens a door before you, the situation may not look perfect so you need faith to step into the open door. Some believers have seen the open door before them but they lack faith to step into the door. Some are waiting until everything looks perfect before taking a step. Let us learn to trust God and His word and submit to God's will.
Defiled (episode 3)
No matter what you are going through, suicide should never be an option. It's true life can sometimes be unfair and unjust but no matter what, your presence is still a blessing to this world so you are highly needed. In Belinda's case, it's highly understandable why she would want to take her own life even though it was a wrong move. Imagine having to go through the rest of your life with a haunting memory of being raped by four armed robbers right in the presence of your newly wedded husband. Just imagine the torture, pain, heartbreak and frustration she must be going through by still being alive every day after the incident. No one deserves to go through such pain; absolutely no one!
It's such a relief that God blessed Belinda with an understanding, empathetic, mature and strong husband like Sam. Not every man would stand by their wife after such horrible incident. The fact that he was man enough to be there for her and never for once made her feel unloved or neglected, is highly commendable. Despite being frustrated most times, he never let it get to him too much.
Immediately Sam saw his wife lying almost lifeless on the cold floor, his heart skipped several beats. For a split second, he thought he had lost her and was never going to see her again. The first thing his instincts told him to do was check her pulse to ascertain if she was still alive. Without hesitating, he checked her pulse and could still feel life inside her. In order not to waste another second thereby making her chances of survival slim, he carried her to the car and drove off immediately.
As Sam drove Belinda to the hospital, he prayed every prayer known to mankind for God to keep his wife alive. That period he drove to the hospital was probably one of the most draining periods of his life. It was nothing like he had ever experienced and for a split second, he thought he would lose his dear wife.
Immediately they got to the hospital, Sam carried Belinda inside and she was whisked away from his arms by the hospital officials. That was the same hospital he went to after the robbery incident so majority of the nurses knew the couple. Without wasting time, treatment began on Belinda as they tried to dilute the poisonous substance she had taken. Sam was made to wait in the waiting room this time around. While he was there, he could hardly sit down but was rather walking around. He was tensed, mentally stressed, drained and scared at the same time. He didn't know what else to do other than pray.
After a while of moving to and fro, Sam sat down and began to sob. He bent his head downwards and held his forehead with his hands. "Dear Lord, I know you can hear me. Please help me because I don't know what else to do. Please bring my wife back to me. She has suffered so much and deserves to be happy. It kills me to know that she isn't living up to the happy woman I promise to make her when I asked her to marry me. I want to make things right but don't even know how to do that. Life can be so unfair, this wasn't the life we planned together. I don't know if I will ever be normal again if anything ever happens to my wife. She's all I have got so please keep her alive. I don't want to experience life without her because I know I will never be ok. Please help me Lord, bring my wife back" Sam quietly prayed.
Few minutes after Sam's prayer, a doctor walked into the waiting room to inform him that Belinda was doing ok. The manner at which Sam jumped for joy gladden the doctor's heart and that of everyone at the waiting room. "Oh thank you Lord" he screamed and later on held the doctor's hands; "Thank you so much doctor, I can't just thank you enough" he happily said.
Since Belinda was still unconscious, the doctor asked Sam to follow him to his office so they could talk. Without hesitating, Sam followed the doctor to his office and after they have taken their various seats, a conversation began.
"How have things been since after the robbery incident?" The doctor asked and Sam took a deep breath and sighed afterwards. "Honestly doctor, things has been frustrating. I watched my wife's mental health go from bad to worst and I don't see things changing anytime soon. My wife is suffering and our house feels nothing like a home due to the sad atmosphere. I want to help her but don't know how" Sam sadly said.
When Sam was done talking, the doctor was quiet for few seconds before speaking. "Have you both considered going for therapy?" He asked and Sam was mute. The sudden quietness of Sam gave the doctor the answer he needed. Without hesitating, he continued; "I want you and Belinda to start therapy as soon as possible else things could get more worse than this. If you were 20 minutes late today, your wife would have died of poisoning. She is suicidal and won't stop till either she dies or gets the help she needs. I know an experienced licensed therapist which I can recommend to you both. Her name is Lara and she has helped so many people overcome their problems. Please don't take what your wife did today lightly because she will definitely do it again and who knows, you might not be there to save her" the doctor said.
Without a reasonable doubt, Sam knew the doctor made huge sense and suddenly began considering therapy. There and then, he agreed and gave the doctor the go ahead to book their therapy session. He paid for a full month session for Belinda and booked for a week for himself. The doctor was quite impressed as to how swift Sam responded to seeking for help and silently prayed that the therapist would give the couple the healing they dearly needed.
Shortly afterwards, Sam was taken to Belinda's room so he could see her. When he got in, she was still unconscious so he just sat close to her. It was devastating for Sam to see his wife in such condition but a part of him was happy that he had gotten the help they dearly needed which was therapy. "Hang in there babe, everything is going to be ok" he said as he gently caressed her hands.
After two days of being admitted, Belinda was discharged from the hospital. Sam didn't take her back to their house but rather to a rental property he paid two months for. He felt that their home was part of the reason Belinda was having a hard time healing because of the haunting memories associated with that house. In order to make her less suicidal and help her healing process, he had to take her away from their matrimonial home.
When the couple arrived at their temporary new house, Sam could see the sense of relief Belinda felt. It was evident that she felt more comfortable in their new house than she did in the other one. Sam was a bit happy to see his wife sitting in the livingroom and going to every other part of the house unlike in the other house where she was always locked up in the guest room. For the very first time in three months, Belinda spoke to her husband. She was hungry and asked him to help her with something to eat.
Initially, when Sam heard Belinda speak to him, he thought it was his mind playing games but soon realized it was for real when she repeated herself. "I'm hungry, please give me something to eat" she politely said. Those words sounded like music to his ears and without hesitating, he called a restaurant not far away to deliver his wife's favorite food. When the delivery personnel arrived, Sam quickly went outside to get the food and served Belinda afterwards. She ate every grain of rice and finished her juice before taking a nap.
Deep down, Sam was extremely happy. His joy knew no bound that day and he actually began thinking of selling their old house and buying a new one just by seeing the sudden improvement in Belinda's mental health. That was a thought to consider as he cleared the food plates and juice bottles from the living room. That day was the beginning of their healing journey as a couple.
The next day, the doctor called and gave Sam their schedule for therapy. It was a two hours session on a daily basis for one full month. Sam had a business that needed his presence so he could only do one week. This was a huge step for the couple to take but they were willing to seek for help because their present reality wasn't a happy one and they didn't want to continue living in bitterness, fear, pain, anxiety and anger.
The first day Sam dropped Belinda off at the therapist office, she was tensed and scared of what the outcome would be. It was a quiet ride to the therapist office and the couple barely spoke. Sam told her "I love you" when he dropped her off of which she didn't reciprocate. She only nodded her head and got down from the car. Sam was already used to his wife's coldness so he didn't let it get to him. He put some money in her purse just incase she needed anything before driving off.
After waiting for a while at the reception, Belinda was finally ushered into the therapist office. The office was cozy and felt really comfortable. She took a sit and maintained a straight face. "Hello Belinda, nice to meet you, my name is Lara and I will be your therapist or say 'bestfriend' for the next one month" she said with a warm smile on her face. Belinda introduced herself too and that created an avenue for rapport between the two ladies.
After the two ladies had settled down, a conversation began. "Do you know why you are here?" Lara asked and Belinda nooded 'Yes'. Lara smiled faintly and began to engage her in a conversation in a bid to get a spoken reply form her. "Can you tell me why you are here?" Lara asked, "Because I need help" Belinda replied.
That response from Belinda was an indication that their therapy season would be fruitful because a person who admits they need help have higher chances of getting the help they need than someone who doesn't acknowledge that they need it. After Belinda acknowledged that she needed help, it made Lara's job a hundred times easier for her to give Belinda the healing she needed.
Just so you know, Lara was already aware of the rape incident but concealed it. Lara didn't want to make Belinda uncomfortable or inaccessible in anyway by saying things she hasn't revealed yet. The therapist took things one step at a time because slow and steady wins the race.
After Belinda acknowledged that she needed help, the therapist began from there to broaden their conversation. "In one word, describe the help you need" Lara asked and Belinda replied "Healing". With that being said, it opened more grounds for the conversation to broaden. "What do you want to heal from?" Lara asked and Belinda replied "Mental trauma". After a brief silence, the therapist continued. "What is that one thing that traumatises you?" Lara asked and Belinda paused for a second before dropping the shocker "I was raped".
Immediately Belinda said that, Lara pretended as though she was just hearing such detail for the first time and empathized with her. "I'm so sorry to hear that but I am happy that you are one step closer to getting the healing you need" Lara said. Belinda smiled faintly and nodded slightly. In order not to lose grip of the conversation, Lara continued. "When you remember the moment you were raped, what's the most significant thing you feel?" She asked and Belinda replied "Rage".
Without hesitating, Lara probed further "Rage for who?" She curiously inquired. Belinda was quiet for a while before dropping the shocker; "For my husband".

Defiled (episode 2)
**I**t's quite sad when bad things happen to good people that don't deserve such ill fate. When good people suffer, it only makes one wonder why life can be so unfair and unjust. What on earth did Belinda do to deserve such brutal encounter in the hands of the armed men that robbed her matrimonial home?. She wasn't only raped by one of the robbers but all 4 of them and the most shattering thing was the fact that she was raped in the presence of her beloved husband. Can you just pause for a minute and imagine the pain in the couple's heart to have experienced such a tragic encounter. Of a truth, the pain is incomprehensible and no one deserves to go through such a haunting experience; talk more of couples!
As Sam drove his wife 'Belinda' to the hospital that night, his hands were shaking due to the boiling rage in his heart. All he could find himself doing was scream at the top of his voice as tears fell uncontrollably from his eyes. He was broken beyond words can say and his whole world felt as though it was coming to an end. So sad!
Immediately Sam arrived at the hospital, he rushed to the back seat and carried Belinda on his hands. Without wasting a second, he headed for the emergency ward and was almost out of breath when he got there. Immediately the nurses saw Belinda lying lifeless on Sam's hands, they quickly instructed him to lay her on the bed. Instantly, the nurses began to administer treatment on Belinda and Sam was politely excused and asked to wait at the corridor.
For over 30 minutes, Sam waited at the corridor for a good news about Belinda but none was forth coming. He walked to and fro and panicked all through. Those minutes Sam waited for the doctor's feedback was probably one of the toughest moments of his life. After waiting for a while, a doctor finally showed up.
"Doctor please how is my wife doing?" Sam asked in haste immediately he saw the doctor. The doctor held his shoulder and smiled warmly; "She is responding to treatment and would be ok, but for the meantime, let's talk about the fact that your wife was raped and harrassed. What happened to her and why are you bruised as well?" The doctor curiously asked. There and then, Sam explained all that happened to the doctor. He narrated the robbery ordeal and left no stone unturned.
When Sam was done narrating their ordeal to the doctor, there was brief silence in the atmosphere. At that moment, the doctor was devastated and broken on their behalf. He emphasized with Sam and immediately put a call through to the police so that a statement can at least be written that night for prompt investigations to follow up. When the police came to the hospital, Sam explained everything to them and wrote a statement as well. Luckily, he was able to describe all 4 robbers and this gave the police officials an idea of what they looked like. After the police had gotten a handful of information, they promised Sam that they would bring justice to him and Belinda and left afterwards.
Immediately the police officers left, Sam was ushered into Belinda's hospital room so he could see her. One look at his beloved wife and tears began to fall from his eyes. He moved closer and held her unconscious hands. "Babe I am so sorry for everything. I'm sorry for not protecting and shielding you as your husband. I'm sorry for bringing you to a home that caused you pained few days after you moved in. I'm sorry for being the reason for your pain and I believe we are going to scale through this crisis and come out stronger. Please be alive for me" he soberly said.
All through that night, Sam couldn't close his eyes for more than ten minutes for fear that someone would attack them again. It's safe to say that he had been scarred and was now traumatized. On the other hand, Belinda was able to sleep because she was placed on sleeping pills. It was such a tough night for Sam especially because he couldn't get his mind off the image of his wife being raped by 4 hefty men. It was traumatizing beyond words can say!
Finally, morning came and some nurse came into the room to run multiple tests on Belinda to know her health status after being inform that she was rapped. They wanted to be sure she was free from any form of infection. Belinda was quickly given a contraceptive to help prevent any unwanted pregnancy from those evil rapist. After series of tests were conducted to ascertain that she hasn't been infected with any form of infection, she was discharged after most results came out negative.
Being free from infection gave a little sense of relief to the couple. Sam helped Belinda walk to their car by holding her waist and hand. She was still in so much pain so it affected her walking steps. When they got to the car, she was made to sit on the back seat so she could relax better. He ensured she wore her seat belt before driving off.
The ride back home was so traumatizing for the couple. Belinda began to tear up as she quietly sat on the back seat. She sobbed gently till Sam saw her from the car mirror. He wanted to console her but didn't know how he was going to effectively do that without crying too. All he could say at that moment was "Babe it's ok". When they arrived home, he carried her on his hands and took her inside the bedroom. Immediately he laid her on the bed, she screamed out in despair; "Noo!! Take me out of here!! Take me out of here please!! Please take me out!!" She cried out.
On seeing that Belinda was having a mental breakdown by being in the same room she was raped, Sam immediately carried her out and lay her on a couch in the livingroom. She folded her body on the couch and closed her teary eyes. It broke Sam to see his wife go through such emotional torture and the worst of it all was the fact that he was helpless. Unable to think properly at that moment, he just laid on the couch with her and wrapped his arms around her. It's so heartbreaking to see such a once happy couple become sad overnight. If only they could take back the hands of time and prevent the robbery incident, they would have done that. So sad they were now stuck with such ill fated reality.
It's been a week after the robbery incident and the rape details of what went down that night was still concealed from extended family members. Sam wanted to protect his wife's dignity and didn't want people to gossip or look down on her. He purposely chose not to disclosed the rape information to the rest of the world because he didn't want their healing process to take longer than it would have taken if they aren't constantly reminded of it by third parties. This was kinda a good move by Sam because the world we live in can be very cruel and insensitive. That was the best way he could protect their sanity and happiness. As at then, only the police and doctors knew about Belinda's rape incident and it was better that way.
Life after the robbery incident was very tough for the once happy couple. Their home had sadly become a place of bitterness, anger, unhappiness and frustration. Sam tried as much as possible to put himself together and be a strong man for Belinda but she made things extremely difficult for him. She was mentally affected by the rape incident and had not recovered from it since then.
There's no day that goes by without Belinda crying, screaming, laughing or talking to herself. She was always indoors because she was scared of the outside world. Ever since the robbery incident, she had not stepped foot in their matrimonial bedroom. It's apparent she was still traumatized and scared of being in the room everything went down on the robbery night. She now stayed at the guest room and always locked the doors.
Days, weeks and months passed by but nothing had changed in the lives of the couple. For over three months after the rape incident, Sam had not touched his wife at all; not even to kiss her. It's safe to say that he only touched her during their honeymoon period since they got married. This was another level of frustration for the newly married man but in everything, he tried to be understanding, calm and empathetic.
Gradually, life didn't seem fun and worth living for Belinda so she wanted to end it all and rest from the emotional and mental torture she was going through. She waited for Sam to leave for work one fateful day before carrying out her plans to end her life.
Just like every other day, Sam made breakfast and lunch for Belinda and dropped the tray of food on her door front. He knocked to inform her that he was leaving for the office just like he always did. Belinda waited for a while till she was convinced that her had left the house before opening the door. As she stood in front of the door staring at the lovely food her husband made for her, she sat down on the floor and began to cry bitterly. While crying, she saw a sticky note on the tray which read "You are not alone, I am with you till the very end. I love you my wife".
Immediately Belinda was done reading the note, she cried the more and began to have a rethink on weather to end her life or not. She cried bitterly as she walked round the kitchen looking for knives but couldn't find any. Unknown to her, Sam hid all the knives and sharp objects in the house for over two months now. She wasn't aware because she hardly left her room all these while. On seeing that there was no knife in the house to execute her mission, she cried even more and laid on the floor.
While crying, it dawned on Belinda that she had some rat poison in the kitchen cabinet. She secretly prayed that Sam hadn't thrown it away but to her greatest relief, the rat poison was still there. Without hesitating, she went to the fridge, opened a wine and poured into a glass cup. Afterwards, she emptied the poison into the glass of wine and began to stare at the glass afterwards.
As God may have it, Sam forgot an important document in the house and only realised halfway to his destination. He wanted to let go of the document but had this strong urge to go back home for it. Without debating with his instincts, he turned back and headed home. When he arrived home, he opened the front door and rushed to his room but was quick to notice that the guest room was opened, which have never happened before. He looked inside but couldn't find his wife. Curious to know where she was, he began looking for her till he found her lying down on the kitchen floor with foamy substance coming out of her mouth. Without being told, he knew she has taken a poisonous substance.
Shocked to the brim, Sam rushed to where Belinda laid and began to check her pulse to ascertain if she was still breathing. With his heart beating fast, he voiced out in a shaky tone; "Babe please don't leave me!!".

Defiled (episode 1)
**H**ave you ever experienced was undiluted pain feels like? That sort of pain that leaves you numb, devastated, shattered and craving for death to come take you away because you feel there's no point living anymore? The kind of pain that comes from a wounded soul with no hopes of ever healing back again. That pain which leaves you wondering if God loves you for letting such an ill fate befall you. That pain like no other you have ever experienced. That pain you wished was only in your dreams but sadly it's a part of your reality and you can't run from it by going to sleep or waking up. That brutal pain that makes your whole existence worthless and makes life not worth fighting for anymore. If you have ever had a glimpse of what such a pain feels like, then you might have an idea of the reality of a certain married couple named 'Belinda and Sam'.
**I**t all happened just a month after the two love birds got married. While courting, they made an agreement to abstain from premarital sex all through their courtship period. They met while in the university and courted for three good years before finally tying the knot on the altar as husband and wife. Belinda was a virgin when she met Sam and that was part of the reason they made an agreement to wait till marriage before having any carnal knowledge of one another.
Life as a married couple was blissful for **t**he newly weds. Their wedding night was all they imagined it would be and more. It was such a priceless experience for both individuals as they had waited for that moment for a very long time. Belinda was so happy to have given her body to the only man she had ever loved which was her husband. Life looked really promising for the love birds and they just couldn't wait to build a family. However, it's sad that something devastating happened to such a promising and happy couple that changed their whole lives.
**F**ew weeks after Belinda and Sam's wedding, they returned from their honeymoon and began to make arrangements to settle into their new home. It was a nice bungalow that Sam acquired before their wedding. The bungalow was a suitable home for the love birds to start a family in. Belinda began shopping for furnitures and kitchen utensils after they were back from their honeymoon. They would have done all the arrangements and shopping for their new home before the wedding but couldn't due to how tight their budget was as at then. Buying the house and paying for a wedding was already a lot for them to do with money so it was impossible to furnish the house at that time.
Going furniture shopping was quite an enjoyable experience for Belinda because it gave her the liberty to decorate her new home the way she wanted to. Sam gave her the autonomy over the decisions of what future to buy since he was too busy attending to his business immediately after their honeymoon trip. Due to Sam's tight schedule, Belinda was the one in charge of everything that related to furnishing their new home.
As Belinda walked round the store picking out some kitchen utensils, she bumped into a weird looking man in the 4th ailse and mistakenly stepped on his feet. "Oh I'm so sorry, I didn't see you standing there" she hurriedly apologized. The man smiled and told her not to bother. As she walked passed him with a faint smile on her face, to her dismay, he voiced out "Be careful; watch and pray".
There and then, Belinda was kinda confused as to why the stranger advised her to be careful; someone she had never met before in her life. Out of curiosity, she probed him. "Why should I be careful?" She curiously asked and the man quietly walked away. It was a weird experience for the anxious lady but she soon waived it off her mind and continued shopping. After a hectic day of buying a handful of items, she returned back home.
When Belinda arrived home that day, her husband wasn't back from work yet. She arranged few of the furnitures she bought, took her shower and began to prepare dinner. While preparing dinner, the word "watch and pray" kept ringing in her mind but she always waived it off whenever it popped up. Shortly after, Sam returned back home and was given a warm hug by his beloveth wife.
"Welcome back home my darling, I miss you so much. How was work today?" Belinda happily asked as Sam planet several kisses on her cheeks. "Work was great my love, I'm sorry I couldn't make it for furniture shopping today, I promise to go with you tomorrow" he said while holding her on the waist.
After the warm welcome, Belinda told Sam to go have a seat in the dinning table while she brings his dinner. Shortly after, dinner was served and they both ate as one happy family. They spoke briefly after eating before Sam walked into the room to go take his shower while Belinda headed for the kitchen to wash the dishes. Immediately she took one step into the kitchen, she heard a noise from outside. It sounded as though someone shook the gate. After being still and silent for a while in a bid to pay attention for another sound, she heard none. She waived it off instantly and entered the kitchen to began washing the dishes.
While Belinda washed the dishes, she had no idea that 4 armed robbers had gained access into their compound by jumping the gate. The front door was opened so it was easy for the robbers to gain access into their house. Everything was still unknown to Belinda up until a hand from behind covered her mouth. It was then that she knew what was going on.
"ssssshhhhh, if you make any sound we will shoot you. Now, take us to where money is" one of the robbers said while covering her mouth. Belinda was scared to death and didn't know what to do other than obey their instruction by keeping quiet. They dragged her out of the kitchen to the livingroom, then to her matrimonial bedroom. When they got into the bedroom, Sam was still in the bathroom taking his shower so he was unaware of their presence. "Where's the money?" One of the robbers asked again and that was when Sam heard strange voices and was forced to walk out of the bathroom.
Immediately Sam walked out of the bathroom and saw his wife at gun point by armed men he had never seen before, he began to panic. "Where is the money? We need money or else we will blow someone's brains right now" the robbers said in rage. There was a bunch of money Sam gave to Belinda for furniture shopping so he asked her to go get the remaining so they could give to the robbers. She reached for her bag, brought out the money and then handed it over to the robbers. "Please take the money and leave my family alone" Sam voiced out. Before he knew it, one of the robbers landed a hot slap on his face. "You must be stupid to tell us what to do. Don't let me waste you right now" the gang leader angrily said.
After successful taking all the money available in that house, the robbers still didn't want to leave the couple alone. Due to the seductive night wear Belinda was putting on, the gang leader became aroused and began to touch her seductively. He caressed her buttocks and tried touching her breast when Sam flared up but was held down by the rest of the gang members. "So you want to fight me? I will show you that no one messes with me and goes scot-free" the gang leader said.
Before anyone know what was happening, Belinda's nightwear was torn by the gang leader and without hesitating, he pounce on top of her. He took off her panties and forcefully began to thrust in and out of her. He held her neck tightly as he defiled her vigorously.
Oh my! Words would absolutely fail me to fully describe the state of Sam's heart at that moment. To say he was shattered would be an understatement of the state of his heart that moment. Ahhh!! There's nothing on earth that could ever compare to the pain Sam felt as he watched the heartless robber thrust in and out of his wife's sacred body. He was broken beyond repair!!
After over 30 minutes of having sexual intercourse with Belinda, the gang leader finally let go of her body and zipped his trouser back up. "Sweet woman, you are so sweet" the heartless thief said as he zipped up his trouser. The other gang members begged their boss to also let them have their turn as they were already turned-on from watching him defile her. After much plea, he agreed and the remaining 3 guys took their turns one after the other. They thrust in and out of her so vigorously as though they would die if they slowed down. Belinda's body was too intact due to the fact that she was just disvirgined by her husband few weeks prior to that incident and this made her too sweet for the starved robbers. They have sex with her one after the other till they were fully satisfied. At this point, Berlinda had cried and screamed to the extent that she didn't have any more strength in her. She laid on the bed looking lifeless as her husband was filled with unimaginable rage. Sam cried as he watched his wife get manhandled by filthy bastards that deserved to rot in hell. Death felt like the best escape from reality and the couple dearly wished for nothing other than death at that moment so all their pains could just go away. It was a day that would never be erased from their bleeding hearts. What a terrible day to be alive.
Immediately the robbers were done defiling Belinda, they fled with the money they had gotten and left the couple behind in tears. When they left, Sam hurriedly reached for his wife who was in tears and numb. He carried her on his arms and walked towards his car in tears. He gently laid her on the back seat, opened the gate and drove off.
As Sam drove to the hospital with Belinda lying on the back seat sobbing, he squeezed the steering with all his might and angrily screamed "Noooooooo!!! Why us?"

Bearing fruit
Bearing fruit is mandatory, and if you fail to bear fruit, then you are in existence without a purpose and a life without a purpose has no meaning and life without meaning has no significance and a life without significance is a wasted life. if you refuse to bear fruit, then you have no reason to be in existence. Matt. 3:8-9, fruit is the outward expression of the inward nature.
The fruitfulness of a tree depends on its rootfulness. When you bear fruit, it gives you identity; the word of God revealed that by their fruit, they shall be known Matt. 7:16a. Your fruits made Christ be seen and by bearing fruit, the kingdom of God is preached, this propels the unbelievers to come to the knowledge of God. Spiritual fruits reflect the personality of the one that resides in you.
A cut-off branch cannot bear fruits; therefore, you must remain in Christ in order to bear fruit. Jesus is the vine, we are the branches, God is the husbandman and in order to bear fruit, you must be pruned and you must have a healthy fellowship with God with a view to receive godly instructions. You must live to please God by allowing God to influence your decisions at all times. John 8:29. There is need to wait on God by reading the word of God, have a healthy meditation, obedience to the commandment of God and above you must be filled with the Holy Spirit of God – God is the source of all authority, He is the possessor of ultimate authencity Rom. 13:1
A spiritually minded believer is a bearing fruit one because he places God above all and gives priority to the things of God. He remains consistent and not ready to shift ground.
The union must be sustained that is union between Christ and the church. Not just fruits, but right fruits because some produced sour fruits, but ensure you produce fruits that will glorify God.
Fruit bearing is an evidence of spiritual and physical productivity.
The fact that the Holy Spirit of God resides, He prompts us to bear fruit for the sake of the kingdom
He sent you to the earth in order to manifest Him and fulfills His agenda – you are sent to reclaim the lost territory. A fruit bearing is a man of authority because of his divine connection with all knowing God, all powerful God and all self-sufficient God. A fruit bearing person is well connected with personality that has power above every other power. A fruit bearing power is residing with a fruit bearing believer. Mark 16:17-18.
The Spiritual authority of a fruit bearing believer cannot be ridiculed and questioned – Matt. 28:18 Jesus Christ received the authority and He handed over same to his disciples in order to carry God His will – Luke 9:1, Act 3:6-8
Brethren, you are expected to bear fruits
Oh Lord, purge and prune me in order to bear fruit abundantly.
Oh Lord, give me grace to abide in you in order to bear good fruits for your kingdom.
NB: Having fasted and prayed for good forty days without negotiation, fruit bearing is the next line of action. 15:1-8

Through My Eyes episode 10
There's absolutely nothing under the sun that can separate two hearts that beats together as one. No matter how hard you try to separate two individuals that dearly love each other, you might only end up bringing them together the more. Brenda made a lame move to think that she could talk Akunna out of her love for Ned. It's funny how Brenda felt she could come in between two lovebirds that were destined for each other. The fact that Ned has never made any relationship advances towards Brenda and just regarded her as his childhood friend made the situation seem laughable. How can you fight a battle you know you already lost before it began? How can you throw yourself at someone whom you know is already in a serious relationship with someone else? How can you be in enmity with a lady that barely even acknowledges your existence?. This and more were the traits and fate of Brenda and it's so refreshing to witness Ned put her in her place once and for all.
When Ned was done issuing a serious and final warning to Brenda telling her to say off his relationship with Akunna, the desperado couldn't stand the embarrassment. The fact that she thought Ned would have her back against Akunna, made her look like a clown that evening. The shame was too unbearable that she kept exclaiming "Wow!" all through without saying another word. Unable to stand the disgrace any longer, she walked away leaving the lovebirds behind at the parking lot.
With Brenda gone, Ned walked closer to Akunna and gave her a hug. "What did she say to you?" He asked, "It's nothing I can't handle" Akunna replied and smiled faintly. They held each other for a while before heading back to the party.
Due to the incident that happened earlier with Brenda, Ned didn't want Akunna to go out of his sight again. He was with her all through the rest of the evening. They managed to have a good time despite everything that happened earlier. Ned's dad 'Mr Tony' introduced the couple to many of his friends and business partners. The fact that Akunna got to meet so many business gurus that stood tall in the business world was an experience she would never trade for anything. At that point, it's safe to categorize her as an affluential woman too because she was now a part of their world. It was such a beautiful engagement party and the couple couldn't stop thanking Mr Tony for hosting them.
After that day, Brenda was never heard from again. It's apparent she finally got the memo that Ned belonged with Akunna and had to surrender to defeat. Out of anger, she blocked him from all social media platforms and also blocked him from calling her but who cares? It's not like the couple ever acknowledged her existence. Matter of fact, that was the best move for Brenda to make so as not to get choked with the lovely wedding photos of Ned and Akunna. It was such a relief that the couple didn't have to worry about a hater being in their social space. Such bad energy is meant to stay far away!
Finally, the long awaited wedding day came and Akunna woke up that morning with tears of joy in her eyes. She was extremely happy to the extent that crying was the only way to contain the joy in her heart. It was such a beautiful day that would be a memorable one as she would be joined together with her boo. Ned called her that morning to hear her beautiful voice and they made fun of each other before proceeding to get ready for the wedding ceremony.
On that day, Akunna looked angelic with her breathtaking gown. She smiled all through the ride to the church because she couldn't stop imagining the fact that she was going to be married to the love of her life in few hours. Ned's convoy was already at the church waiting for Akunna to arrive. Shortly after the bride arrived, the wedding began.
As Ned stood on the aisle watching Akunna walk towards him with her uncle holding her hands, he felt butterflies in his stomach. Her beauty radiated all over the hall that it was almost impossible for anyone not to jaw-drop.
The smiles on Akunna's face was enough to calm every storm in Ned's life and restore peace to his heart. She looked extremely beautiful to the extent that Ned couldn't believe she was going to officially be his wife in few minutes time. It was such a breathtaking moment for everyone as the bride walked towards her groom.
Immediately Akunna's uncle gave her hands to Ned, she smiled and bent her face downwards due to shyness. Ned caressed her soft hands while looking at his bride blush uncontrollably. His heart began to beat fast as he couldn't believe that their love won against all odds. It was such a beautiful moment as he unveiled his bride. The smile on her face was enough to make his whole world alright.
When it was time to say their wedding vows, Akunna went first despite being a bit nervous. She looked deeply into Ned's eyes and began to shed tears. "Baby, I might not say this to you as often as I should but 'Thank You'. I never knew what true happiness felt like until I met you. Thank you for loving me even when I didn't love myself, thank you for being such a supportive and caring partner to me, thank you for all the times you never gave up on our love, thank you for never leaving me in doubts as regards how much you love me and want us to be together, thank you for giving me the things I never knew I needed and above all, thank you for showing me what God's love truly feels and looks like. You are the most caring, loving, hardworking, humble and loving man I have ever met in my life. You teach me daily what it means to be meek, compassionate, humble and kind. You don't know how much you inspire me and those around you. I pray each day that God help me to be the best I can for you. Thank you for choosing me and making me your wife. May God help me to make the rest of your life blissful because a man like you deserves only the good things of life. I promise to be by yourself through any whether life brings. I promise to love you all the days of my life and never get tired of giving you my all. You make me such a happy woman and I pray to make you the happiest man on earth. I asked God for water and he gave me an ocean and that is You. I loved you yesterday, I love you today and I'll love you forever" she said as tears fell off her eyes.
Those vows were powerful to the extent that Ned almost began to shed tears too. He held Akunna's hands even tighter and kept his eyes fixed on her eyes. When she was done, he followed up afterwards with his vows. "You are my angel and a companion I never knew I needed. Everyday with you is something I would cherish all the days of my life. You light up every room you enter and leave people happier than how you met them. You are such an angel and most times I feel like I don't deserve you. Since you came into my life, you haven't stopped making me the happiest man ever. I might not be too good with words to fully express myself but I promise you one thing Akunna, and it's the fact that I would never let go of your hands. I promise to love you till the day I take my last breath and I promise to give you all of me. I pray to God everyday to help me be the best husband I can to you. I never want to see you cry any tears other than tears of joy. You are the best thing that ever happened to me and I can't believe you are my wife. I love you today, tomorrow and forever!!" He calmly said while staring into her teary eyes. They inserted their rings into each other's finger and kissed passionately afterwards. It was such a beautiful and memorable day indeed in their life and that of their guests.
After the church wedding, the couple retreated to a nice hall for their reception. It was an intimate celebration with not too many guests. Everyone ate to their satisfaction and danced joyfully with the happy couple. It was such a day to remember.
Before the reception could come to an end, Ned and Akunna said 'Goodbye' to their family and friends and left the venue because they had a flight to catch same day. They first changed outfits before heading to the airport. When they arrived, their flight was about to board so they said goodbye to Ned sister who drove them to the airport and boarded the plane headed to their honeymoon destination 'Maldives'.
The newly wedded couple had a memorable wedding night moment after they arrived their destination in the evening of the next day. It was such a blissful moment as they made love to each other to seal their union as one. Their suite was breathtaking and one of the best suites at the resort. The honeymoon lasted for over two weeks before the lovebirds came back to base to resume where life stopped.
A month after they were back from their honeymoon, Akunna began to feel weird so she was advised by Ned to go see their doctor. Series of tests were conducted on her at the hospital to ascertain what was wrong, only for the test to reveal she was one month pregnant.
Oh My!! You needed to see the look on Akunna's face when the doctor revealed she was pregnant. The joy in her heart overflowed to the extent that she began to cry. She arrived home earlier that day and prepared Ned's favorite food for him.
When Ned came back home, he was surprised to see the dinning table choked with plates containing his favorite food and fruits. "Babe, what are we celebrating" he happily asked as he sat on the dinning table. Akunna walked in smiling and just sat beside her husband as he uncovered the plates. As he was about to begin eating, she pushed one last plate for him to uncover and he reluctantly opened the plate. Immediately he saw the content of the plate, his heart dropped instantly. It was a pregnancy test kit that read 'Positive'.
Shocked and dumbfounded, Ned instantly looked at Akunna who had already began to shed tears. There were over a thousand things he wanted to say but words failed him. With tears in his eyes too, he knelt down before his wife and reached for her tummy. "Babe are you for real?" He soberly asked as tears fell of his eyes and she nodded 'Yes' in response to his question. Both of them broke down in tears afterwards and held each other extremely tight as they shared such priceless moment together. Emotions were in the high as the happy couple shed tears of joy.
After the atmosphere had calmed down a bit, Ned placed his hands on Akunna's tummy and happily screamed; "Yesss!! We are having a Babyyyy".

Through My Eyes episode 9
The end always justifies the beginning of everything. Who would have thought that Ned will stick to Akunna through thick and thin despite his wealthy background? Who would have thought that a cleaner will steal the heart of such an affluential man like Ned the way Akunna had done? Who would have thought that a mere job interview would bring two hearts together that were destined for each other and who would have thought the two lovebirds will finally be 'engaged' to be 'married' after everything their relationship had been through?. It's apparent that God destined Ned and Akunna's relationship from the very beginning and was just waiting for the perfect timing to bring them together. What a relief indeed that these two lovebirds were finally on their way to the altar at last. At this point, it's safe to scream for joy!
After Ned informed Akunna that the car was a proposal gift to her, she was shocked beyond words can describe. All she could do was scream and jump for joy. She showered Ned with kisses as they held each other extremely tightly. Everything felt unreal to Akunna because she never imagined in a million years that could be her reality. Tears of joy began to cloud her eyes as she held on to her fiance tightly. It was a rollercoaster of diverse emotions that she couldn't handle at once.
When the excitement had died down a little bit, Ned called his dad and sisters via video call to break the engagement news to them. Akunna flashed her diamond ring to his dad and sisters and they couldn't stop blushing as they shared in the couple's joy. Ned's family were extremely happy for the couple and wished them nothing but the very best in the new journey they were about to embark on called 'Marriage'. The good vibes in the atmosphere was a proof that the universe was equally happy for the couple as well. Everything felt so right with no atom of doubt from any corner.
Shortly after the proposal, Ned held Akunna and they walked to another section of the garden which have a table for two with wine and food. The lovebirds feasted in celebration of their engagement. Servers were also present to cater for their meals. It was an intimate moment for them and they loved the fact that they could share such a precious moment with themselves first before the whole world gets to celebrate with them.
The couple had a lovely time at the garden before retiring back to Ned's house. Before then, Akunna had learnt how to drive so she was able to drive her own car all the way to Ned's house. She playfully horned at him occasionally as they drove home in different cars. Ned was super happy to see the joy in her face. He couldn't stop admiring his fiance on her engagement ring: she looked really cute and attractive. "All mine" he said to himself as he stole glances at her from his car window.
Finally, they got to their destination which was Ned's house. Akunna parked her car in his garage and kept flashing her bling ring to his face. "Ayyeee!! I'm a whole fiance" she playfully said as she cat-walked into the house. Ned couldn't help but smile and blush as he followed her behind. Even a blind man could see how happy Akunna was that evening and it only made Ned extremely happy to be the reason for those smiles on her face. It was such a wholesome moment for the lovebirds.
When they had settled inside the livingroom, Akunna hugged Ned and planted a soft kiss on his lips. "What would you like to eat tonight my darling? Just name it so I can prepare it for you" She asked with a smile on her face and he replied "You" and drew her closer to him. That response from Ned made Akunna blush to the extent that her cheeks began to hurt. She looked into his eyes and could see that he was ready to devour every bit of her. Ned began to unbutton her shirt there and then as they kissed passionately.
There was nothing Akunna wanted more than anything in the world than for Ned to make love to her that night. She yearned for his touch, kiss, thrust and sucking more than anything in the world. However, she felt it would be best for them to abstain till their wedding night so that it could be a special night for them. As Ned was almost done taking her shirt off, she stopped him.
"Babe, I think it's best we save this for our wedding night so as to make it special. Trust me, I want you so bad right now too but I'm willing to wait till our wedding night. Please can you wait till then before tearing me apart?" Akunna calmly asked. It was too much commitment on Ned's part because her body was always irresistible for him but however, he was willing to also abstain till their wedding night. He agreed to her request and had to button her shirt back up.
Akunna knew it was a tough sacrifice for Ned to make but knew it was for their own good, just so their wedding night can feel more intimate and special. She kissed him when he was done buttoning her shirt back up and re-asked her question; "now tell me, what would you like to eat so I prepare it before we go to bed?" She asked. Ned was kinda full from the food they ate at the garden so he told her he was ok for the night. Akunna wasn't hungry either so they took their shower, spoke for hours on the bed and finally slept off in each other's arms.
That day was the beginning of endless happiness and joy in their relationship. They glowed together and were the talk of the town for a long time. Akunna's colleagues happily congratulated her when she showed up to work on Monday with her new car and bling ring. They envied her from a good place and wished to be in her shoes. Everyone now know she was dating the CEO's son and was truly happy for her because she was an amazing human being.
Shortly after the proposal, Akunna was promoted at work due to her outstanding performance and effectiveness. Despite being in a high position, she was still the selfless and respectful person she had always been. It suddenly seemed as though the whole universe was in her favor as good things kept coming from every angle.
The news of Akunna's elevation got to her relative's ears and they came looking for her to make peace. She wasn't quarrelling with anyone but I believe her relatives felt guilty for not being significant in her life the way they should have been after her parents died. Holding grudges wasn't in her nature and the fact that she was in a good place in her life made forgiveness come very easily. They promised to make amends in their ways and be in her life going forward. Akunna knew they weren't 100% genuine and were probably influenced by her elevation but she didn't care about all that. All she wanted was to be at peace with any part of her life that was in conflict with her. The last thing she wanted was to enter the new phase of her life with any baggage that could affect her marriage or happiness on the long run. She just wanted to be at peace with every area of her life and God fulfilled her desires.
As the wedding date drew closer, the two lovebirds couldn't wait to be joined together as one. A wedding planner was hired to plan the wedding from start to finish. Akunna wanted a small and intimate wedding with just close family members and friends. Happily, Ned was on the same page with her. They both wanted the same thing and weren't fans of big or loud weddings. Their wedding was going to be an intimate and classy one because that was what the couple wanted.
While Akunna and Ned were happily preparing for their big day, Brenda was in no way happy about their engagement. The fact that Akunna came from nowhere to take her crush away from her wasn't a fate Brenda was going to fold her hands and accept. She decided that if she couldn't have Ned, no other lady would have him and she was ready to ensure of that. The desperate lady laid siege waiting for the perfect time to strike and there was no better time to carry out her mission than on the couple's engagement party.
It happened that Mr Tony threw a big engagement party for his son since they never got the chance to celebrate with the lovebirds on their actual engagement day. He invited his business partners and friends for the party and Brenda's dad was also invited. Akunna and Ned walked into the surprise party unknowingly after Mr Tony initially informed them that he was hosting a dinner date for them at his house. Ned thought it was just a family dinner date but was shocked when he walked in with Akunna to music and a handful of people in his family house screaming "Congratulations".
When the couple figured it was a full party, they had to let loose and have fun with the amazing people present. It was truly a surprise for the couple because they weren't expecting it at all. They had as much fun as possible and got to meet so many people.
All these while, Ned had no idea that Brenda was present at the party. He was too engrossed with being happy with his fiance that he couldn't see Brenda staring at them all those while.
Midway into the party, Akunna took an excuse from Ned and went to the car to get something. Immediately she left, Brenda followed her behind and taped her shoulders when she opened the car. When Akunna felt a hand tap her shoulder from behind, her heart dropped when she turned and saw Brenda standing behind her. "You startled me, please can you not do that again" Akunna said in disgust and without hesitating, Brenda attacked. "I see you are stubborn and don't listen. Didn't I warn you to stay away from Ned but you didn't listen? I did a research about you and found out you are a low-life wretched woman. It's funny how you poor people think you can just make your way into a rich man's heart and steal it. How dare you think you deserve to be with a wealthy man like Ned when people like me that deserves him don't get a shot? You are nothing but a low-life and I can't let a wretched woman like you have my Ned. Never!!" Brenda furiously said.
When Brenda was done speaking, Akunna wasn't about to let those insults slide so she gave her a piece of her own mind. "I can see you are a dog because only Dogs bark even when no one is after them. It's sad how you think you deserve a certain person just because you are rich. What a myopic way to reason for someone as supposedly exposed like you claim. With everything you claim to be and have, why didn't Ned go for you instead? I will tell you why he didn't, It's simply because people like you are disgusting and a dent to the beauty of this world. It's due to the fact that people like you exists that the world is broken because of discrimination and racism. What makes you think you are better than the next person just because you were fortunate enough to be born into a family of wealth? Is that all that makes you feel so superior to someone else that wasn't lucky to grow up with a silver spoon in their mouth just like you did? What gives you the effrontery to think that you deserve someone like Ned and I don't? Well, let me school you a little because I can see your school fees were in vain. Love can't be bought, it can't be manipulated and it doesn't discriminate. No matter how many of your type we have in this world, Love will still conquer all. Get used to seeing this diamond ring on my finger because it has come to stay Forever. Ned belongs with me and me alone so better get used to it. Now, please Moveeee!!" Akunna bluntly said.
While Brenda and Akunna were having a serious confrontation at the parking lot, Ned went in search of Akunna when he figured she had taken too long. When he arrived at the parking lot and saw Brenda there with Akunna, he knew that a serious confrontation was going on. He was kinda pissed to see Brenda discomforting his fiance so he calmly walked to where they stood.
"What's going on here?" Ned bluntly asked when he arrived. Akunna kept mute because she was too furious to explain to Ned all that had happened. On seeing that Akunna didn't want to talk, Brenda took the lead. "I came here to remind this low life wretched lady that she can't have you" she said.
Before Brenda could say another word, Ned cut her short; "Point of correction, she's my fiance so address her as that next time you want to spill trash and also, don't ever come an inche close to my wife again because if you ever harass her this way next time, I will take you to court. Now get lost forever and leave us alone" he bluntly said.
Shocked and embarrassed beyond measure, Brenda exclaimed "Wow!!".

There's nothing as painful as finding out that your partner lied about having any affiliation with someone or something, only for you to find out later that they actually had affiliations with what they initially denied. It's stressful most times to continually tackle problems in your relationship when you should be enjoying it all the way. It's no doubts that every normal relationship go through crisis but when these crisis becomes consistent, it might wear-out the innocent party in the relationship.
In the case of Akunna and Ned, things were kinda different because Ned had never intentionally lied about anything neither has he knowingly done anything to cause her pain. Their issues were usually caused by things or circumstances beyond Ned's control. He was never emotionally attached to Brenda and only visited her that fateful day because she lied to him about being severely sick. If he had even the slightest clue that she was lying about being sick and only wanted to lure him to her house, I promise you he would have never step his feet out of the office that day. It's quite sad that Ned's good gesture was now about to cause problems between himself and Akunna.
How on earth would Ned be able to explain to Akunna that the kiss from Brenda was unexpected and was sort of an ambush? How would he convince her that he didn't kiss back and that he left Brenda's house the very minute she kissed him? How would he make Akunna understand that he visited Brenda only because she told him she was sick and needed company?. It's apparent that Ned had a lot of explaining to do that evening and we can only hope that Akunna understands or accepts whatever he was going to say to her. Fingers crossed!
As Akunna leaned on the kitchen counter still in shock due to the text message Brenda sent to Ned, different thoughts clouded her mind. She felt tired, betrayed and hurt over again knowing that Ned and Brenda got intimate judging by the text message. The strength for confrontation wasn't present in Akunna that moment because she had a really stressful day at work, plus the cooking. The last thing she needed was any confrontation but sadly it had to happen because she needed answers to the numerous questions in her head.
It's been about ten minutes since Ned went upstairs to take his shower. After bathing, he got dressed and went downstairs to eat dinner but met the dinning table unset yet. Curiously to know why the food hadn't been set yet, he went into the kitchen only to find Akunna quietly leaning on the counter. One look at her countenance and it was enough to tell him that something was wrong. "Babe are you ok?" Ned inquired as he walked towards her. She remained mute and didn't utter a word to him.
The sudden attitude from Akunna gave hints to Ned that something was really wrong. It was when he got closer to her that he saw his phone on her hand. Immediately he saw her holding the phone, he knew she must have seen something that ruined the once 'happy atmosphere'. In order to know what was up, he probed further. "Babe, what's with the attitude? Is anything bothering you?" He calmly asked.
There was a brief silence everywhere and after being mute for a while, Akunna finally spoke up. "I am tired Ned, I'm just tired of going back and forth with you in this relationship. Today it's one problem and tomorrow it's another. How long do you think I can continue to tolerate all these problems from you? I am tired and can't continue to put myself in a position to keep getting hurt by you. I'm just tired" she soberly said.
When Akunna was done talking, Ned was left confused and blank. He had no idea what she was talking about and needed clarity on why she was tired of their relationship. "Babe what have I done again? Did I do anything to hurt you and make you feel this way? Please talk to me?" He curiously inquired. Without saying another word, Akunna passed the phone over to him to read the text sent by Brenda.
Immediately Ned saw the text message, he froze due to shock. At that moment, he didn't know what to say or do to defend himself or make Akunna believe that it wasn't what she thought it was. Without hesitating, he began to explain all that truly happened without leaving any stone unturned. "Babe please hear me out before you conclude. I was at the office this morning when I got a call from Brenda saying she was sick and needed company. As an old time friend, I decided to check in on her to make sure she was doing fine. It was when I got there that I realized she tricked me and wasn't sick as claimed. It could be that she wanted to see me and felt that was the only way I would honor her invite. While I was there, she tried making advances to me but I declined and she kissed me afterwards. I left her house immediately she did that. I didn't see the need to tell you all that happened because I felt it would only breed more grounds for problems between us. I am sorry for putting you yet again in a situation like this. I would never hurt you that way and certainly will never betray your trust in me. Babe please don't let this ruin our happiness this evening I beg you" he said.
After Ned was done talking, Akunna still didn't say a word. To be honest, she was just tired and didn't have the strength for any drama. All she could do was look into Ned's eyes in search for a single trace of lies but couldn't find one. Unable to hold back her emotions any longer, she broke down in tears. "Ned, no matter how much I love you, I can't fight another woman for you because if you put me in a position to fight anyone for you, then it isn't worth the fight after all. I know you have a lot of women that want you and believe me when I say I see so many men on a daily basis that want me too. How would you feel if a man sent this sort of text message to me and you found it on my phone? Would you forgive or believe me if I gave you the same explanation you just gave to me? Won't you feel hurt no matter how much my story sounds innocent and genuine?. I love you but you make it hard for me at times to give you my all when things like this keeps happening. I know you mean well for us and I also know you love me but sometimes love isn't just enough to keep a relationship going. I will be leaving now, here's your dinner. Goodnight!" She said.
Immediately Akunna was done talking, she walked out of the kitchen to the livingroom to get her bag on the couch. She tried booking an Uber as she hung the bag on her shoulder and headed for the door. Ned was dying within as she headed for that door. He wanted to stop her but could see the rage in her eyes so he felt it was best not to get in her way. However, he couldn't stand to see her go so he hurriedly went after her.
"Babe come back inside let's talk about this, I beg you" Ned sadly said but Akunna paid him no attention. On seeing that nothing was going to stop her from going, he begged to drop her off but she still paid him no attention. Unable to figure out what next to do, he told the gateman to drop her off since she didn't want him to drive her home. Without hesitating, the gateman got into one of Ned's cars and opened the door for Akunna to enter. She paused for few seconds before entering the car and they drove off.
As Ned walked back into his house, he felt heartbroken and as though he was gradually losing Akunna. For the first time ever, he could see the tiredness of everything he was putting her through in her eyes. He felt really bad to be the reason she was devastated and in such state. When he got inside the house, he couldn't eat the food that was on the counter. The only thing on his mind was how to make things up to the love of his life. He thought of ways to make it up to her and apologize for everything he put her through. It was a rollercoaster of emotions that evening for the young man and after much thoughts, he managed to eat the food on the counter so that all her efforts in cooking the delicious meal doesn't go to waste.
That night, Ned called Akunna about four times but she wasn't picking up. He knew she was still upset and decided to give her some space. All through that night, he thought deeply about all she said earlier and felt bad all over again because she was absolutely right. He sought for ways to make it up to her and slept off in the process of thinking. On the other hand, Akunna took her bath and went straight to bed immediately she arrived home. She didn't want to think too much about anything because she had a presentation to ace the next day.
It's been about a week since Akunna saw Brenda's text message in Ned's phone. She had been avoiding him since the incident and it was straining and affecting their relationship. Ned had apologized over again and had been forgiven but Akunna only needed some space to figure things out. She was tired of sitting on the fence and constantly being afraid that Ned could be whisked away by someone else from his social class. She knew for a fact that he loved her genuinely but that wasn't enough.
Unknown to Akunna, Ned had something up his sleeves that she didn't see coming. During the time they were slightly apart, it finally dawned on Ned that it was time to put all legs in and 'wife' Akunna. He went ring shopping and bought a nice diamond ring. He also bought a car as a proposal gift for her.
Without Akunna's knowledge, Ned planned a beautiful intimate proposal to surprise her. He knew without doubts that it was time to fully commit to her and take their relationship to the next level. Mr Tony was informed and he gave his full support to his son's decision to finally settle down with Akunna. The proposal date was set and someone was about to get blown away!
Early on the day scheduled for the proposal, Ned texted Akunna and requested to see her that evening at a cozy garden in town so they could talk things out. She initially declined the invitation but had to accept after much plea from Ned. She felt it was going to be another day of long talks but had no option than to show up since she already gave him her word.
It was on a Friday and Akunna closed from work early. She first went home to rest before preparing to go to the garden. As she sat in the taxi heading to the garden, she looked out the car window lost in thoughts of where her relationship with Ned was headed. She felt cold and scared at the thought of not being in his life forever. There was this feeling of losing him she always felt since after finding out the truth about his wealthy background. It was such a sad and lonely ride to the garden but if only she knew it would be her last day as a 'Miss'.
When Akunna arrived at the garden which Ned rented for the whole day, she didn't find anyone there expect the gateman. She tried calling Ned's phone but he wasn't picking up. The gateman walked up to her to inquired if she was 'Akunna' and she nodded yes. He took her inside the beautiful garden decorated with lights and it was almost impossible not to admire the decorations. "Sir is someone having a party here?" Akunna innocently asked. The gateman smiled and said "you will know soon".
As they got to a section of the garden that had been decorated with red roses, Akunna's heart became to beat fast when she saw Ned standing handsomely at the center of the decorations. For a split second, her mind began to put every puzzle pieces together but it was just too good to be true that she was about to get proposed to. "Oh Lord! This isn't what I think it is" she said to herself as she walked closer to her boo.
When Akunna finally got to where Ned stood, he held her hands and looked into her teary eyes. "Babe, it's been a long time coming since I wanted to do this but there's no time as perfect as this moment. Since you came into my life, it hasn't been the same anymore. You are the light that Lit up my life. You are the most caring, understanding, calm, intelligent and amazing woman I have ever met in my life. You are Love personified and you have never stopped showing me and the world that Love is truly your core value. No one can understand why I love you so much except they see you Through My Eyes. I honestly don't know what my life would have been like without you as my partner, lover and friend. Akunna, I love you with all my heart and everything I owe belongs to you. There's no person I'd rather send forever with than with You and that brings me to ask you this question; Akunna Okoye, will you marry me?" He said and knelt down on one knee.
Oh My! If only you have a glimpse of how Akunna felt at that moment. Words would fail me to fully describe the state of her heart. She held her chest as she watched her boo go on his knees with a beautiful diamond ring in his hands asking her to be his wife. Tears flowed uncontrollably from her eyes as she tried to digest all that was happening that moment and with a joyful heart, she screamed "Yes babe, I will marry you!".
Immediately Akunna said "Yes" to Ned's proposal, she knelt down too and planted a soft kiss on his lips. He reciprocated the kiss and they had a hard time parting their lips from one another.
Just as the lovebirds kissed passionately, a Mercedes Benz GLK with decoration drove into the garden. When Akunna saw the car and flower decoration on the car bonnet, her heart dropped. Before she could ask who the car was for, Ned dropped a shocker; "Congratulations babe, you are the latest car owner and fiancee in town".

Christ is the cause of all things
Gen. 1:1, John 1:1-5
The word “In the beginning” appears twice in the bible and the two books are fundamentally relevant. They are: Genesis (Gen. 1:1) and John (John 1:1).
Moses declared that “In the beginning”, God created the heavens and the earth. Gen. 1:1 and John wrote “In the beginning was the Word” John 1:1. It was the revelation of John that vividly expressed the intention of God about the personality of the WORD
The word Word means Logos and it was logos that was crucified. All things came into existence through the word (Logos). The original language for word is logos and logos also mean the Cause. All things came through Him that is “the cause of all things” – the universe solely rests on the Logos – the Logos become flesh and dwelt among us. The same Logos became flesh which was crucified. It was the flesh that was crucified known as Jesus, He died for our sin but Christ (Spirit) resurrected and cannot die. Messiah is the logos and it was the logos that died on the cross, the logos was the one that crucified, which means the cause of all things was the one that crucified (died)
A writer says “And if the cause is crucified, nullified, then so too is the effect. the effect is nullified. It disappear. If the Logos dies the cosmos is nullified. The old world dies…. The old life dies, the fallen dies and the old you dies.” Did you know that Truth exists without lies but lies cannot exist without Truth and life exists without death but death cannot exist without life.
Messaiah is the Asham and the Asham is Messiah – He died to take away guilt, the messaiah became the guilt – 1Corth 5:21. They laid the guilt to the cross for our redemption.
The living God is with us. The Name Emmanuel is more than a name it’s a complete sentence, it’s a declaration and a reality. Be expecting many mighty acts. Surely the crucified Jesus will see us through, and the resurrected Christ will perfect all things that concern us. The Word “In the beginning “will manifest in all aspects of life. the resurrected Christ will attend to your matter. Wrong exist because there is right.

- Christ is my life, the Logos died on the cross therefore let the resurrected Christ be glorified over the matter

Through My Eyes (episode 7)
Ever heard of the saying that goes "every new level attracts new demons"? Well, that was the reality of Ned and Akunna's relationship. The very moment it felt as though they had scaled through the toughest level in their relationship, another problem surfaced from nowhere. Just when Ned had successfully introduced Akunna to his family as his girlfriend and they welcomed her warmly, Brenda popped up from nowhere to ruin their joy.
How can you claim someone that isn't claiming you and go as far as having the audacity to confront the person's partner to spill trash? How can Brenda tell Akunna that she was wasting her time with Ned and went as far as saying she was betrothed to him since they were 10 years old? The situation was indeed laughable because it's baffling how some people reason. The fact that Brenda rubbed her family's wealth on Akunna's face was kinda condensing on her part. Why do all that to prove a pointless point to someone who probably cares less and doesn't give a dime about who you are. It's safe to say that the battle line had been drawn and neither Akunna nor Brenda seemed as though they were willing to back down.
After that awkward encounter with Brenda at the bar, Akunna didn't want to let the things Brenda said to get to her emotions. She kept it cool and waited till the cocktails were served before heading back to the party to join Ned. "Babe where have you been? I have been searching for you" Ned innocently said, "I was getting drinks for us at the bar, here's yours" she said and handed the drink to him. He took a sip and was whisked away by his business partners because they weren't still done with their business related discussions.
While Ned was engrossed in conversations upon conversations, Akunna was a bit lonely and just sat close to the live band. She moved her body back and forth in rhythm to the music. As much as she tried not to think about what Brenda said back at the bar, she just couldn't help but think about it. Deep down, she felt a little insecure but didn't want to dwell on any negative energy that evening. She was there to have a good time and nothing was going to stop her from doing so.
It was beginning to get quite late and Akunna started getting ready to leave the party. By the look of things, Ned didn't seem as though he was ready to go anytime soon. He had a lot of people to talk business with and it would be disrespectful for him to go home and leave them hanging. On seeing that Ned wasn't ready to go anytime soon, Akunna walked up to Mr Tony to inform him that she was leaving. "Thank you so much for the party sir, I had a really good time but would be leaving now. I have so much work from the office waiting for me at home that I need to tend to" she politely said.
Mr Tony was understanding and was happy that she had a good time. "It's ok my dear but does my son know you are leaving?" He asked, "Not yet sir, he is really busy and I don't want to bother him so I would just leave and call him when I get home. Goodnight sir" Akunna said. Mr Tony asked if she needed anything and she assured him that she was perfectly fine. With that said, she booked an Uber and headed back home without informing Ned that she had left.
All through the ride home, Akunna couldn't stop thinking about all Brenda said to her. No matter how she tried not to think too much about the confrontation, she just couldn't help it. The fact that Ned left her alone because he was too engrossed in his discussions with his business partners also hurt her feelings. She felt neglected and abandoned even though she knew he didn't mean to treat her that way. Everything was just getting to her and it made her feel uneasy and stressed. When she arrived home, she took her shower and went straight to bed.
On the other hand, Ned had no clue that Akunna left the party about an hour ago. It was when he was done talking business that he began to search for her but couldn't catch a glimpse of her. At first, he thought she was somewhere around but after searching for almost 30 minutes, it began to dawn on him that she wasn't at the party anymore. Confused about her whereabouts, he walked to his dad to ask if he had seen her and was told she left a while ago. "What!! When?.. How?... Without Me?" Ned asked and his dad told him that she didn't want to interrupt his discussions so she left without informing him. It was then that it dawned on Ned that he neglected Akunna all through the party and she might be a little upset with him. If only he knew there was more to the reason why she left so soon.
Immediately Ned was told that Akunna had left, he had no interest to be at the party anymore. He said 'Goodbye' to his dad and siblings and headed to where his car was parked. When he got to his car, he was shocked to find Brenda leaning on it. "Brenda, is that you? Wow it's been a really long time" he happily said as they hugged for old time sake.
It's apparent that Ned and Brenda's acquaintance didn't start today. They had known each other for a very long time so it's quite understandable why he would be that excited to see her again. "When did you get back from the states?" Ned curiously asked, "Just last week, your dad invited my dad for the party and I was super excited because I knew I would see you again. I wanted to call you when I got back but couldn't reach you because I didn't have your number. It's nice seeing you again" Brenda said. They spoke for a little while and exchanged numbers afterwards. Ned didn't see her as anything more than an old time childhood friend but that wasn't the case for Brenda. She loved him and wasn't going to let a newbie take her crush away from her. Never!!
When Ned and Brenda were done exchanging pleasantries, he got into his car and drove off to Akunna's house. When he arrived, it was quite late and she had slept off by then so he called her phone. After it rang the second time, she picked up. "Open the door, I'm at your house" he said when she picked up. She looked through the window and saw his car parked outside so it confirmed he was truly at her place. With sleepy eyes, she opened the door for him to come in.
When Ned saw Akunna in the skimpy 'see through' nightgown she wore, his heart began to beat fast. He held her waist and planted a soft kiss on her neck. "You left without me, why?" He calmly asked as he grabbed her tummy from behind. Akunna was too tired for any affection and was also angry with him so she wasn't giving in to his touches. She tried to free herself from his grip but he held her tightly. "Are you angry with me? I am sorry" he calmly said and kissed her neck even more.
By then, Akunna was getting turned on but she still wasn't about to give in. "Who is Brenda?" She asked out of nowhere and Ned froze. The fact that she knew the name of the person in question was enough to get him suspicious that something more happened at the party. "She is a childhood friend of mine, did you meet her at the party?" He curiously asked and Akunna took a deep breath and replied; "yes I did".
The conversation began to get heated as Ned wanted to know all that transpired between Akunna and Brenda. She told him everything that happened at the bar and it left Ned dumbfounded to know that Brenda confronted his partner even before they met for the first time at the parking lot. He was a bit disappointed at Brenda for stooping so low but all that matter at that moment was explaining to Akunna that all her claims were false. "It's true we are childhood friends but that's all I can remember we are. They relocated outside the country when we were still very young and we occasionally kept in touch till about two years ago when I completely lost contact with her. She is someone I care about but as a friend and nothing more. Please don't tell me you are letting this bother you" he said.
With everything Ned had said, it was impossible for Akunna not to believe him. She was just tired and didn't know what to say anymore. He held her so tight and apologized for Brenda's actions. The apology was accepted and the atmosphere came back to being less tensed. The lovebirds kissed passionately and ended up on the bed. Ned wanted to rip the nightwear Akunna had on because she was just driving him crazy. "I want you" he said as he planted several kisses all over her body. She was tired but couldn't deny the fact that she was dying for those touches too. They kissed for a really long time before stripping their clothes off.
"Damn!! Babe I love your body; it's my greatest weakness and strength" Ned whispered into Akunna's ears. She blushed and ran her fingers through his hairs. You have no idea how happy Ned was to know that Akunna's body was his and his alone. He honestly couldn't wait to take her to the altar so he never loses her to another man. The thought of another man having Akunna was too hurtful for his heart to imagine or bear. There was absolutely no way he was ever going to let her slip through his hands. There was no way!!
After romancing each other for a while, they finally made love. Ned didn't want to stop anytime soon because he missed her so much. They made love all night till around 3am in the morning. They were both tired and fell asleep in each other's arms.
Hours later, Akunna got up to make breakfast and didn't want to wake Ned up. She made something and they ate together. The lovebirds spent some quality time together that day before Ned left in the evening. She missed him already and the feeling was mutual.
Ned and Akunna's relationships took a good turn after that party. Ned's family members were now aware he had someone in his life: their relationship was no longer a secret. Most of Akunna's colleagues now knew she was dating the CEO's son and this accorded her more respect. She became a member of Ned's family and spoke to his sisters and dad from time to time. At this point, it's safe to say that they were now officially a verified couple. Things began to look more beautiful than before for the lovebirds but the devil was working harder to bring them down.
One fateful day, Ned received a call from Brenda requesting to meet him at her home. She lived in a luxury apartment suited not too far from Global Tech. Deep down in Ned's heart, he didn't want to honour such invitation but had to go because she made mention that she wasn't feeling too well that day. For old time sake, he went to see how she was doing.
When Ned arrived at Brenda's home, she welcomed him well and tried to make him feel comfortable but he wasn't. "Thanks for coming on such short notice, I really needed someone around" she said, "It's nothing, hope you are feeling ok now?" He innocently asked and she said "Kinda".
The atmosphere became tensed and uncomfortable but Ned kept his cool. They got into a conversation about random stuff but after a while, Brenda began to make little advances at Ned. She first laid her head on his chest and later crossed her arms around his shoulders.
At that moment, Ned began to feel uncomfortable being around Brenda and just wanted to leave. "I think I would be going now, call me if you need anything ok" he said and tried getting up but Brenda didn't want to let go of her grip. "Please don't go, I want you here" she said but Ned wasn't having it. "I have something to attend to at the office so I have to go now. I stopped by because you sounded really sick over the phone" he said.
Just as Ned was at the verge of loosening himself from Brenda's grip, she leaned forward and planted a soft kiss on his lips. It happened in a flash of light before he could stop it. At that moment, he was pissed off and wanted nothing more than to get out of her house that very minute. "Please don't ever do that again, Goodbye!" He said and walked away in disgust.
As Ned drove back to the office, he was really pissed due to what Brenda had done. He felt bad for letting another woman have such access to him and didn't know if to tell Akunna or not. After much deliberation, he decided to let it slide and not tell her so as not to complicate matters the more. Despite feeling bad, he tried to convince himself that he hadn't done anything wrong by visiting a friend who claimed she was sick.
When Ned arrived home that very day, Akunna was already at his place. She had her own spare key and usually went there unannounced whenever she wanted to. On that day, she came to his house from work to make few dishes for him after he complained of not having home cooked meals in a while. She made stew and soup that evening and put them in the fridge.
Immediately Ned saw Akunna cooking, his face and mood lit up. "Babe I didn't know you were stopping by today, what's cooking?" He happily asked as he joined her in the kitchen. "I made stew and soup, they are in the fridge. Go and shower and come have dinner" she said. Without hesitating, he went upstairs to take his shower and left his briefcase and phone on the kitchen counter.
While Akunna was dishing food for Ned, his phone beeped and the screen light came on. She reluctantly looked to see the notification and was shocked at what her eyes saw. Itwas a WhatsApp message from someone with the name 'Brenda' which read; "I am sorry for the kiss and for making you leave my house angry, call me when you get this".
For a split second, Akunna died within. To say she was shocked would be an understatement of how she felt that very moment. It was as though she had been jammed by a huge trailer and it crushed her heart.
As Akunna stared at the text message over and over again, tears began to drop from her eyes. She looked at the message for the 4th time and shockingly muttered "Brenda?".

**B**eing secretive or dishonest is one of the fastest ways to destroy a relationship. When you are secretive or dishonest to your partner and they find out you have been lying to them, it cripples the trust the person once had for you and you know there's no Love without Trust. It's impossible to say you love someone if you don't trust them. In Ned's case, he had been honest to Akunna about everything except the fact that he came from a wealthy family. To be fair, he didn't mean to hide that detail from her but had to do so in order to ascertain for a fact that she truly loved him for whom he was and not for what he had. Also, he didn't want to scare her away by revealing such detail at the beginning of their relationship. It's just so sad that Akunna found out from a third party before he had the chance to tell her the truth himself and due to that, she now had a lot of untrue narratives and thoughts about his intentions towards her and their relationship.
After Akunna shut the door at Ned's face, he was devastated beyond words can say and couldn't move an inche. He stood at her door in despair trying to digest all that just happened and the things she said to him. It hurt so bad for him to watch the woman he love in so much pain because of him. Part of Ned wanted to knock again to get Akunna out from her house the second time but the other part of him felt it was unwise to do such as it's clear she wanted to be left alone. After standing at the door for over ten minutes, he sadly walked away.
When Ned arrived home that day, he went straight to his room and laid on the bed with his face staring up the ceiling. It felt as though his heart had being crushed and was bleeding profusely. That was the first time in Ned's life he experienced what true pain and heartbreak felt like. He wanted to cry but tried as much as he could to hold back the tears that clouded his eyes. The state of Ned that evening was truly heartbreaking and sad. He was going through an emotional breakdown and didn't know how he was going to make things right with Akunna again. The thought of losing his relationship was extremely scary and made his heart beat even faster.
While Ned was going through an emotional breakdown and couldn't sleep, Akunna wasn't left out either. She cried all night and kept tossing back and forth on the bed. Never in a thousand years did she imagine that a man who gave her so many reasons to smile would be responsible for her tears. Ned had been nothing but a gentleman, amazing and supportive partner. She never saw the betrayal coming and I guess that's why it hit her so hard.
That same night, Ned tried calling Akunna severally over the phone but she never picked up. He texted her to please pick up the phone but she wasn't responding to his text either. This act from Akunna worsened the state of Ned's heart as he was going crazing for not knowing what next to do. However, he wasn't going to give up on the woman he loved and certainly wasn't letting his relationship go down the drains. Whatever it was going to take to get Akunna to hear him out, he was going to do it no matter what.
Early the next day, Ned tried calling Akunna but she still wasn't picking up his calls. He wanted to drive down to her office that morning but had an important meeting to tend to at Global Tech. Unable to be at both places at the same time, he decided to attend the meeting first before paying a visit to Akunna's workplace.
All through that day, neither Ned nor Akunna could concentrate on anything at work. They were completely absent minded due to the numerous thoughts going through their minds. No matter how much they tried to put themselves together, they just couldn't.
After the brief meeting Ned had at the firm that day, he retired back to his office and rested his head on the desk. At that moment, he was devastated, sad and depressed. He was losing his mind because Akunna had labelled him a liar without giving him a chance to explain or defend himself. The thought of losing her was too much for his heart to bear and it almost made him break down in tears. Unable to keep it cool, calm and collected anymore, he carried his breifacase and closed for the day.
Immediately Ned left the office, he got into one of his exotic cars which he drove to work that day and headed to Akunna's office. When he arrived, he parked at the parking lot and walked into the company complex. Everyone that saw him greeted "Good afternoon sir". Greetings were coming from every corner till he finally arrived at his dad's office which was usually vacant most of the time. He told the secretary to inform his friend 'Manager Philip' that he was around and wanted to see him. Without hesitating, the secretary alerted Philip and in no-time, he arrived at the CEO's office.
"Hey paddy, I didn't know you were going to pay us a surprise visit today like your dad did yesterday. I have missed you man" Phillip happily said when he walked into the office. Immediately Ned heard that his dad was there the day before, his heart dropped. At that moment, he became more scared because he knew his dad had something to do with Akunna finding out the truth about his social status. Without hesitating, he asked Philip some questions to find out if his dad met with or spoke to Akunna and sadly, all his doubts were confirmed to be true.
Due to Ned's numerous questions about Akunna, Philip began to suspect that she meant something more to him. With that conviction, the conversation entered another dimension. "Is there anything you want to talk to me about? Remember you can always talk to me about anything bothering you" Philip said. Unable to hold it together anymore, Ned broke down for the first time in front of a third party. He confided in Philip about everything going on between himself and Akunna. He revealed she was his partner and they were in a relationship.
As Ned spoke, Philip could see the pain in his eyes. Ned showed undiluted emotions and it was apparent that the young man was scared of losing Akunna. Being a good friend, Philip decided to help his dear friend get his woman back. There and then, Philip informed the secretary to summon Akunna to the CEO's office. In a jiffy, Akunna was on her way to the office. Ned was really tensed because he didn't know what the outcome of seeing her there would be. However, he tried to put himself together and save his relationship by confronting her and telling her nothing but the truth.
Immediately Akunna stepped her feet into that office and saw Ned seated with Phillip, her heartbeat ceased. She was shocked but tried her best to stay professional. "Hello sir, you summoned me" she said to Philip, "Yes I did, kindly have a seat" Philip said and she got seated. When Akunna sat down, she tried her possible best to avoid any eye contact with Ned. Her heart was beating nonstop and her palms became sweaty but she tried to keep her cool regardless. After a brief silence, Philip finally spoke up. "Akunna, I'm sure you know my friend seated across the table. He has something to say to you and I plead with you to give him your audience. I would be leaving now" he said and left the two lovebirds alone to talk.
Immediately Philip walked out the door, tears began to fall from Akunna's eyes. When Ned saw the tears in her eyes, his heart pierced in a million places. He wanted to get up and go to where she sat but she stopped him even before he stood up. "Don't come close to me, stay right where you are!!" She bluntly said.
As the atmosphere began to heat up, Ned looked into Akunna's eyes and began to talk. "It hurts me to see you in pain, but it hurts even more to know that you doubt my love for you after every beautiful moment we have shared together since we started dating. I know I did wrong by not telling you about my wealthy background but trust me, I wanted to tell you after your birthday but never found the right time to do so. Initially when we met, I held the truth from you because I wanted you to love me for who I truly am without my wealth influencing your decisions. Put yourself in my shoes to understand why I hid the truth from you. All my life, I have see people flock around me for what they could gain from me. Before I met you, I had so many options but found none worthy of my love because I couldn't feel any connection with them like I felt with you. Loving you is one of the easiest things I had ever done because you make it come naturally from me. I don't have any other woman in my life expect you and the reason I never took you to my house is because I live in a penthouse alone which was capable of blowing my cover of staying lowkey. Do you know how many times I came back home from work and wanted to see you at my house? Do you know how hurtful it was for me to see in you in the uncomfortable house and bad area you live in when I know I can get you a better apartment in a nice neighborhood just at the snap of my fingers? Do you know how hurtful it was for me to see you go to work with taxi everyday when I can get you a car this very minute? I was hurt seeing you live a life I had the capacity to change but couldn't do anything because I was powerless. You don't know how blessed I am to have a relationship as pure, genuine and authentic like what I have with you. Whenever I am with you, I forget about my own world because with you is the best place I'd rather be. Akunna please find a place in your heart to forgive me; I am really sorry and promise never to hide anything from you again. Please don't let go of what we have because of this issue that can be resolved, please I beg you. Every normal relationship go through hurdles and ours isn't excluded. The way we handle our differences is what makes us scale through our challenges and come out stronger. I love you and you alone, there's no one else but you" he calmly said.
As Ned spoke, Akunna's heart became to soften up. She was still hurt but saw no reason to keep purnishing her boo. She became vulnerable and Ned was quick to detect that she was no longer hostile towards him. He got up and walked to where she sat and gave her a tight hug. "Baby I am sorry" he whispered into her ears and she held him even tighter, "I miss you and I am sorry too" she said with tears in her eyes. They kissed passionately for a while before Akunna went back to her office. Ned waited for her to close from work so he could pick her and take her home.
At close of work that day, Ned picked Akunna up to take her back home. When she saw his car, that was the first time it actually dawned on her that he was truly rich rich. He came with a 'Jaguar SUV' and that was when the reality of his wealthy status began to dawn on her. This new development was a lot for her to take in but she would have to get used to it as time goes by.
It's been weeks since Akunna found out about Ned's new financial status. He wanted to get her a new apartment that was located in the elites area of town but she declined his kind gesture. "Babe I am sorry but I can't move to such an expensive apartment when I can't afford to sustain the lifestyle you want to expose me to. I know you want to be my Alpha and Omega but I can't let you be all that to me. I have been saving up to rent a nice and spacious apartment at a good place close to work. Living there would save me a lot of transportation expenses every day. It's a nice apartment situated amongst normal people in same social class like me so I would rather prefer to live there than live in a glass house that would definitely cost you so much money" she said one evening they were having a conversation at Ned's house.
Ned wasn't too happy that Akunna didn't want to move to the place he pitched to her but was kinda impressed to know that she hadn't changed and was still the lady that had a mind of her own. He agreed to her request and decided to complete the money she had already saved up so she could go pay for the apartment she wanted. Without hesitating, he asked for the balance amount and wired it there and then. Akunna was very happy and showered him with appreciation kisses.
As both lovebirds laid on the bed talking, Ned felt it was time for Akunna to finally meet his family. He didn't know how to ask her to be his date to a party his father was throwing that weekend but just had to voice it out after she was done kissing his cheeks. "Babe, I want to ask you something" he gently said, "Ok babe, what's it?' she asked. He held her chin up and planted a soft kiss on her lips. She smiled and looked into his eyes; "Is that what you want to tell me?" she asked and he kissed her yet again. Akunna began to blush because the random kisses gave her butterflies in her stomach. After the third kiss, he finally asked the question; "Would you like to meet my family? My dad is having a party this weekend and I want you to be my date to the party".
Immediately Ned said that, Akunna's heart sank in. She looked into his eyes to find an atom of unseriousness but found none. Convinced that he truly wanted her to meet his family, she finally spoke up. "Are you sure your family would like me?" She calmly asked, "They won't just Like you, but they would Love you because you are an amazing person and the lady that has stolen my heart" he said. Those words calmed her tension and she happily agreed to go with him to the party. The date was set for weekend and each of them began to prepare towards it.
As the party drew nearer, Akunna got her outfit ready so as to give a lasting first impression to Ned's siblings and second impression to his dad. She got her hair done, pedicure, manicure and makeup done. She looked like an angel when Ned came to pick her up for the party. He couldn't stop complimenting her every two minutes. They both looked gorgeous and ready to make a breathtaking entrance into the party.
Unknown to Ned, his dad invited a lot of friends that had daughters who liked him. There's this particular lady named Brenda whom Mr Tony truly wanted his son to get married to. Ned hadn't told his dad yet that he was in a serious relationship with someone else. He wanted to break the news as a surprise that day. There was fire on the mountain but no one was running just yet.
When Ned arrived at the party with Akunna, all eyes were just on them. They looked like a power couple and attracted so much attention from the attendees, including Brenda. When Mr Tony saw Akunna, he was quick to recognize her as the Production Manager from his company. Despite the fact that she looked beautiful, he was able to recognize her.
"Daddy, Goodevening" Ned greeted when they came to where Mr Tony stood. "Goodevening my son, I see you brought a guest" Mr Tony said. Ned held Akunna's hands and began the Introduction; " Yes I did! Dad this is Akunna my girlfriend, Akunna this is my dad" he said. Mr Tony was kinda happy to see his son with the same lady he awarded few weeks ago for being a competent and hardworking staff. He gave them a hug and told them to enjoy the party. "Enjoy the party and have as much fun as you can, I will see you two later" Mr Tony said and walked away to attend to his other guests.
Pheeew!! What a relief to Ned that his dad accepted Akunna wholeheartedly without giving a slight headache. Well, I believe if the man hadn't met Akunna beforehand due to the good things he heard about her from other managers at his firm, his reaction could have been different. The good character of Akunna had gone before her to pave the way for such a day as this. With Mr Tony out of the way, introducing Akunna to other members of the family was a lot more easier. Akunna met Ned's sisters and they all had a good time drinking and dancing. The lovebirds were having a good time at the party until something unexpected happened that changed the once happy atmosphere.
It happened that Akunna went to get drinks for herself and Ned who was busy discussing business with other business associates. As she stood at the bar section waiting for the cocktails to be mixed, a beautiful lady that looked at though she was craved out of chocolate walked to where she stood and rested on the bar counter. "I see you are here with Ned" she said and Akunna's attention was drawn right away. "Please do I know you? Akunna confusingly asked and the strange lady chuckled. She looked Akunna in the face and smiled faintly; "You don't need to know me to get my message very clear. I'm here to do you a favour by telling you to stay away from Ned because he can never be yours to keep. We have been in each other's life since we were 10 years and our parents already sealed our union a long time ago. Don't fall too deep because there's no future with whatever you have going on with him. I just thought to help a sister with the hard truth. If you like take it or leave it. Also, before I forget, my name is Brenda and my dad is the owner of the only Telecommunication company in this country so I'm probably sure he owns the sim card you have on your phone. Have a nice day!" She said and walked away.
When Brenda left, Akunna shook her head in disbelief and said; "See Wahala (see trouble)!! Who is this one again?".

**H**as someone ever done something that totally convinced you of their genuine love for you? That moment when all doubts cease, fear of the unknown gives way and every walls guarding your heart crushes. That moment when you just look at your partner with no words to properly describe how much of an amazing person they are to you. That moment when it truly dawns on you that they are for real and aren't playing games with your heart. Once your relationship gets to that point of conviction, the commitment you have towards your partner and relationship will deck effortlessly.
On seeing how Ned went out of his way to bring Akunna's greatest childhood fantasy to reality, it only made her realize that he loved her for real and wasn't playing games with her heart. That single gesture brought down her guards and took away every doubt she once had about their relationship. At that moment, she was willing to give absolutely anything to the only man her heart dearly yearned for. She wanted to feel Ned so bad and wasn't shy to make the first move.
"I want you to make Love to me here. What better way to end such a memorable day in my life than give my body to you. I know I have been resistant since we started dating and you have been totally understanding but tonight I want you. Do to me everything you have always thought about whenever you imagine me without clothes on. I am all yours babe, I love you so so much" Akunna seductively said while looking Ned right in the eyes. The atmosphere in that toy house was too intense for either of them to resist each other.
Before Ned could process everything Akunna had said, she began unbuttoning his shirt. "Babe are you sure about this? Are you truly ready for us to take things to the next level? I am willing to wait till you truly want this" Ned said but Akunna shushed him before he could finish his sentence. "Shhhh...Make love to me babe, I need You' she calmly whispered into his ears. The manner at which she spoke exploded his emotions and sent chills all over his body.
The more Akunna unbuttoned Ned's shirt, the more she seemed irresistible. He looked into her deep eyes and ran his fingers in between her chest. He took off her shirt and gently kissed her cleavage. By that time, she was done unbuttoning his shirt, he took it off and laid her on the wooden floor. Before Akunna could lay properly on the floor, Ned planted a soft kiss on her belly button which sent chills all over her body. She caressed his head as she moaned quietly. Ned slide his hands into her skirt and took off her lingeries. He raised her skirt upwards and buried his head on her thighs. At that moment, Akunna was in cloud nine and the moaning got intense. "Babbbyyyyyy.." she said as she tried to grasp some breath. Ned found pleasure in sucking everything suckable in her entire body.
For over 20 minutes, Ned was busy while Akunna laid on the floor moaning. She died over a hundred times and came back to life again. She was teleported into a world of ecstacy. Her body went through every phase of pleasure to the extent that she was too weak to look Ned into the eyes. When Ned was done working her body, he reached for her ears and gently whispered "Babe are you ready?". She nodded 'Yes' in agreement with her eyes partly closed. With her consent, he finally entered inside her and began to thrust gently. He figured she was very tight so he had to be gentle in order not to cause her so much pain.With every thrust, Akunna screamed in pain. Before then, she had only made love just twice all her life so it felt as though she was being deflowered all over again. Ned was really gentle with her and couldn't just get enough of her banging clean body. She smelled really nice to the extent that he didn't want to get off her body. They made love for almost two hours but still couldn't get enough of each other. It was getting quite late so they had to stop eventually.
As both lovebirds laid on the floor exhausted, Ned wrapped his hands around Akunna and kissed her forehead. "I love you" he voiced out and she smiled, "I love you too". They kissed once more before dressing up to leave. Ned helped Akunna wear her bra and clothes. In a jiffy, they were done dressing and ready to leave the botanical garden. "What would happen to the toy house" Akunna innocently asked, "I would get the people who set it up to dismantle it and keep in a storage so our kids can use it someday" Ned said with a faint smile on his face.
On hearing the word 'Kids', Akunna playfully hit Ned with her wrist. "Did I just hear kids?" She said with a smile on her face and Ned chuckled, "Yes you heard right or don't you want kids someday?" He playfully asked and she replied "Yes I do" and playfully hit him again. Ned grabbed her from the waist and jacked her up and they both burst into laughter. "How are you sure I haven't planted a seed inside you already" he jokingly told her, "No you didn't, Babe stop!!" Akunna said as they laughed. He assured her that he was careful not to get her pregnant just yet but was certainly going to do so once they get married. The two lovebirds had a wonderful time at the garden before Ned's Uber arrived and they had to leave.
After that day, Ned and Akunna's relationship decked. They became almost inseparable and more committed to one another. At this point, Ned began to consider telling Akunna the truth about who he really was, as he felt the right time to tell her had come. He sought for the perfect timing and way to break the news to her but just didn't know when and how to go about it. If only Ned knew that danger was ahead and that he had to reveal sooner else it could cost him his relationship, I believe he would have told Akunna the truth while it was still in his power to do so himself. Everything was fine between the lovebirds till things took a drastic turn one fateful day that changed everything.
It happened that Ned's dad 'Mr Tony' had a brifeing will all managers at the company Akunna worked in. That was the very first day she came face to face with the CEO of the firm and that was the first time she was seeing him. During the briefing, Mr Tony kept making mention of his son 'Ned' but Akunna felt it was another person with same name as her boo. After the briefing, everyone went back to their respective offices but Akunna was meant to stay back for another meeting with the CEO. She had been an outstanding staff so Mr Tony wanted to meet her in person to congratulate her for being an effective staff.
When Akunna arrived at the conference room, Mr Tony was having a meeting with some top executives of the company. In order not to distract them, she wanted to leave but was called back by Mr Tony. "Are you the Production Manager?" He asked and she replied promptly "Yes sir, I am". He beckoned on her to have a seat close to him and join the meeting.
After what seemed like a ten minutes executive meeting, the executives were dismissed while Akunna remained with Mr Tony. "I have heard so much about you and want to thank you in person for being a great staff. You have done well and we are working on introducing incentives and bonuses to award outstanding staffs like you. My son would see that this gets implemented as soon as possible but for the meantime, I have something small for you" he said.
When Mr Tony was done talking, he brought out his phone and called the company's accountant. He told her to package a certain amount of money and bring to the conference room. Immediately the call ended, Mr Tony dropped his phone on the table. Akunna reluctantly looked at the phone screen due to the beaming light that attracted her eyes and what she saw almost shattered her heart. It was a wallpaper of Ned, Mr Tony and two other ladies. The photo seemed like a family photo judging by the way they all had striking resemblance and how they hugged each other.
There and then, Akunna took a good look at Mr Tony and could see a striking resemblance between him and Ned. At that moment, her heart became to beat fast and she began to recall when Mr Tony kept making mention of his son with the name 'Ned'. Every puzzle piece began to merge and finally made sense. In order to clarify well and not jump into conclusions, she took the bold step of confirming directly from Mr Tony.
"You have an awesome family sir, I'm sorry for prying but the photo was too beautiful to ignore" Akunna said to trick Mr Tony into confirming her doubts. "Thank you so much" he said and turned on his phone again for her to have a proper view of the photo. "This is my first and only son Ned, the other two ladies are my daughters. They look like me right?" He innocently said and she nodded 'Yes' in despair.
Words would truly fail me to fully describe how betrayed, hurt and humiliated Akunna felt at that moment. All of a sudden, every word Ned ever said to her seemed like a big fat lie to get in between her legs. She felt used, broken and devastated. Shortly after, the accountant came in with an envelope containing money and it was handed to Akunna. She thanked the CEO and walked away feeling broken beyond repair.
As she walked back to her office, all manner of thoughts filled her mind. She began to wonder what could have been the motive of Ned who is the son of a billionaire to date a pauper like her. "Did he lie to me all these while just to use me? Did he do all this just to have a toy he can use and dispose anytime he was done using? No wonder why he has never taken me to his house or spoken about his family to me. It's because he sees no future with me hence the reason he didn't want to bring me into his world. Why go through all these length if you don't love someone? How can people be so cruel with others feelings? This isn't fair; I don't deserve such humiliation from the man I felt loved me" she said to herself as tears clouded her eyes.
That walk back to the office was probably one of the hardest walks of Akunna's life. She could literally feel her soul leave her body. She felt used and didn't know what explanation Ned would give that would make her see him as anything other than a user.
All through that day, Akunna refused to pick up Ned's calls. He called countlessly but she didn't pick and that was when he sensed something was wrong somewhere. Without hesitating, he paid her an unexpected visit that night because he was worried sick about why she wasn't picking or returning his calls. When he arrived at her house with an Uber, he could see the lights on through her window so he knew she was at home. What a relief!
Akunna was covered in tears when she heard a knock on the door. Immediately she heard the knock, she knew it was Ned and didn't bother opening it. He knocked and knocked till it dawned on him that she purposely didn't want to open the door for him to come in. "Babe I know you are in there, please open the door let's talk about whatever is bothering you" he voiced out so she could hear him. On hearing that, she finally walked up to the door and opened it.
Immediately Ned saw Akunna's swollen eyes, he needed no seer to tell him she had been crying for a long time. Without hesitating, he tried to hold her but she knocked his hands off immediately. "Don't you ever come close to me again or haven't you done enough already?" She soberly said. At that immediately. "Don't you ever come close to me again or haven't you done enough already?" She soberly said. At that moment, he was confused about what she was talking about and had to voice out. "What are you talking about? What's going on Akunna?" He confusingly asked but she wasn't ready to answer any questions from a lair. She was fed up and didn't care about his feelings at that point.
"When were you going to tell me that you are the son of a billionaire? Were you ever going to divulge such detail to me? I see what you are doing and now it makes much sense. You go around deceiving people you know you don't see a future with just to get into their pants and waste their time. I trusted you with all my heart but this is what I get in return? You betray and backstab me? No wonder you never took me to your house or spoke about your family to me. I might not come from a wealthy family like you do but I sure have dignity. This game you are playing or whatever you are doing with my feelings ends today. Stay as far as you can away from me please, I can't do this anymore. Leave me alone and go to whichever high class lady you are probably dating for real that your family knows and have accepted. Goodbye Ned" she said and shut the door.
At that moment, Ned was dumbfounded and didn't see that coming at all, hence the reason he was too speechless to defend himself and save his relationship. He stood in front of the door still shocked and for a split second, the fear of losing Akunna flashed before his eyes.
Devastated and broken, Ned rested his forehead on Akunna's door and muttered; "What have I done?".

Through My Eyes (episode 4)
Some of the best things of life happens when you least expect it. In a million years, Akunna would have never pictured her life moving towards the direction it was headed. After many years of experiencing intense hardship as an orphan and many years of totally shutting the doors to her heart, she now had a well paid respectable job and a handsome gentleman professing his love for her. An added bonus that she wasn't even aware of was the fact that the man seeking to come into her life was the son of a billionaire. Up until then, Akunna still wasn't aware that Ned was super rich and from an affluential family. The humble nature of Ned made it impossible for her to detect that he was the son of the CEO of both companies she worked with. I believe he was keeping this detail from her just to make sure she was going to first love him for who he was and not get influenced by his social status and wealth.
It was such a relief for Ned after he told Akunna that evening how he truly felt about her. Having told her that he loved her and wanted her in his life, it felt as though a huge burden had been lifted from his shoulders. On the other hands, Akunna was having a really hard time believing that a good spec such as Ned found her worthy enough to be his partner. Despite the fact that she knew how intelligent, beautiful and amazing she was, it was still hard for her to believe that a man of such calibre was into a lady that was once a cleaner in a company he managed. If only she knew that Ned's dad owned the company, then I believe she would have found herself even more unworthy to accept his relationship proposal. For the first time ever, Akunna was in an emotional state where she didn't know what to do.
When Ned arrived at the filling station where he parked his car, he got into the car but couldn't move right away because he was lost in thoughts. "What if she says No? What if I was too direct on her and it scares her away? Did I do the right thing by confessing my feelings to her? Oh Lord help me and make this work because I truly love this lady" he calmly said. After sitting in the car for a while, he finally drove off and headed home.
All through the remaining hours of that day, neither Ned nor Akunna could sleep. They were both restless because their minds were occupied with too many thoughts. Ned wanted to call her that night but didn't want to be too pushy. He felt the need to give her some space to think about the bomb he dropped on her that evening. How they both managed to catch some sleep that night is still a mystery due to the fact that they kept tossing back and forth on the bed.
The next day was Sunday so neither of them went to work. Akunna went to church service and returned home by around 1pm. On the other hand, Ned stayed at home working all morning trying to finalize everything he needed for the presentation he had on Monday. After being engrossed with work all morning, he decided to give Akunna a call to see how she was doing. The phone rang twice before she picked up.
"Goodafternoon Ned, how are you doing and how was your night?" Akunna calmly asked, "I am doing fine and you?" Ned replied and she said "I am doing alright". By just listening to her voice, he could tell she was down probably due to all that happened the previous day. He knew she was going back and forth in her mind as regards his relationship proposal in the bid to arrive at a decision and that can be emotionally stressful. Without hesitating, he began to probe her. "Are you ok? You sound down" he inquired and she took a deep breath in; "I am fine, it's just that... it's just that..." she stuttered. On seeing that Akunna was having a hard time completing her statement, Ned chipped in; "Would you like me to come pick you up so we can go to somewhere nice and talk?" He asked. She thought about it briefly and accepted the offer. "Ok sure, you can" she calmly replied.
There and then, Ned asked Akunna for her home location and she sent it to him. He freshened up, ordered an Uber and headed down to her house. It was a one hour drive to Akunna's house all the way from town. Ned was now somehow familiar with the area because he was there the day before. When he arrived at her house, he called to inform her that he was outside and she came out five minutes later and joined him inside the Uber. After settling inside the car, they drove off.
When Akunna entered inside the car, there was just this nice smell she came in with. Even though it was a cheap perfume, it smelled really nice and made her more appealing. As they both sat in the car, Ned could feel the tension in her body language. He knew she was tensed and needed to get her loosen up a bit. "Where do you want me to take you to?" He calmly asked with a smile on his face, "Anywhere you want to go" she replied in a shy tone.
At that moment, Ned wanted to hug Akunna so bad. She looked really cute and effortlessly gets to him every single time she smiles. He changed their destination in the Uber app to a very cozy restaurant in town. Going to such a restaurant wasn't enough to blow his cover because he believed she would feel he could afford it; since she knew him to be a manger and supervisor at Global Tech. It was a 20 minutes drive from Akunna's house to the restaurant and all through the ride, the atmosphere was tensed.
When they arrived at their destination, they alighted and headed inside the restaurant. Immediately Akunna walked in, she felt odd with what she was wearing and immediately alerted Ned. "Don't you think we are dressed a little too casual for this sort of restaurant?" She innocently asked and Ned smiled, "we are dressed just fine or do you want us to go change?" He jokingly inquired and she chuckled; "Nahh, we are good. At least I know I aren't the only one looking under-dressed, you are too" she said smiling. That little chit chat loosened up the once tensed atmosphere and they both were on the path to having a good time that afternoon.
Shortly after they were settled, the waiter was called upon and their orders served. It was such a relief to Akunna that she knew her table manners and how to eat with fork and knife. As she watched Ned effortlessly use his fork and knife to eat, she had to adapt too and do same. She was quite good at it and didn't seem as though she was trying to hard to blend in.
While they ate their meals, Ned waited till they were done eating before engaging her in any conversation so as to avoid what happened the previous day from occurring again. When they were done eating and sipping champagne, dessert was served and they began conversing as they took each spoon from their plate of dessert. "I hope I didn't come up too strong on you last night with my heartfelt confession?" He asked, "No you didn't, I am sorry for how I responded to your feelings, it's just that I was shocked and didn't see that coming at all" she said.
At that moment, Ned wanted to know what was going on in Akunna's mind at least. He wanted to know if he had any chance of ever becoming her man. Despite the fact that he loved her dearly, he knew the love had to be mutual before it could work. On seeing that she was in the mood to talk, he began to ask more questions. "Do I ever have a chance of being your man? I love you Akunna and want you to give me a chance to show you how much I care about you" he said.
Deep down in Akunna's heart, she knew she had gradually fallen for Ned too but was just too scared to open her heart fully to him. She had experienced too many losses in life and didn't want to put herself in any situation that would make her re-live those sad experiences again. As she looked into Ned's eyes, her heart began to race non-stop to the extent that he could feel her heart beat from across the table.
On seeing that Akunna was shy and probably tensed, Ned stretched out his hands and reached for hers. He held her hands and looked into her shiny eyes. "I love you Akunna, please give us a chance. I know this is sudden for you but trust me, these feelings have been with me since the first day I met you. I don't want to try with any other woman but you. I love you so much and sitting on the fence is killing me slowly. Don't try to figure everything out just yet to know if you are making a mistake or not. Let's take each day one step at a time and see how everyday goes for us. Please give us a chance" he calmly said.
There and then, Akunna knew for sure that if she ever wanted to try with any man, it had to be Ned. He was such a gentleman and had numerous traits that had blindly got her falling for him without even knowing. She liked him a lot and didn't want to lose such opportunity to try and make things work with him. She didn't how relationships work but was willing to learn and try for him.
As Akunna looked into Ned's eyes, tears began to drop from hers. She smiled in the midst of her tears and also held his hand tightly. "I have been single for such a long time to the extent that I don't know how to be a partner to someone but I am willing to try with you. I like you a lot but I'm scared at the same time to come into your life because I don't know what the next minute holds. I don't have so much left of me to give to you but I know I can try. You are worth every effort and I don't want to try with anyone else but you. I really like you Ned, I want you in my life too". She said with a warm smile on her face.
What a happy day it was for Ned indeed after such promising words from Akunna. That was the last straw he needed to break the camel's back. Those words of confirmation from Akunna was the only assurance Ned needed to fully make his way into her heart. He was beyond happy that she was finally his baby so it's safe to say that they were now officially a couple.
When Akunna was done talking, Ned looked deeply into her eyes and smiled; "You won't regret this, I promise you" he said and she blushed. They caressed each other's hands and looked into each other's eyes while at it. Akunna was super happy within but tried her very best to control her emotions outwardly but that wasn't the case for Ned as he showed every emotions he felt at that moment. After a good time well spent, they left the restaurant to other fun places in town before going back to their various houses.
That day was the beginning of a beautiful relationship between the two lovebirds. As every day went by, their love for each other grew. They gradually grew in love and fell deeper for each other as time went by.
It's been over a month since Ned and Akunna officially began dating. No one knew about their relationship and they felt it was good to keep it that way at least for the time being. Ned knew that his dad would break hell loose if he ever found out he was dating a low class lady like Akunna. Thanks to Ned, Akunna's life had changed drastically since they began dating but he couldn't take care of her the way he truly wanted to because he was still hiding his identity from her. He wanted to change her house, get her a car and change her life significantly but couldn't because it might breed suspicion if he began to spend lavishly on her.
So far so good, Akunna wasn't lacking when it came to money unlike before. Ned sent her money on a weekly basis and made sure her house was stocked up with groceries. She was no longer the penny managing lady she used to be, as her weekly upkeep money from Ned, coupled with the fat salary from her new job as a production manager had changed her life totally.
The funny thing in all this is the fact that Akunna had never asked Ned for anything since they started dating. He does things for her without her consent because he knows she would never ask him. He had her bank account and usually wired money to her every week without her knowledge. She would only find out when she sees the alert after a busy day at work.
Despite Ned doing the most, Akunna also made sure to do the little she could for him too. Every week, she would cook different types of meals that could last a week and package them for him to come pick up and store in his fridge. She always made sure he had food so as to cut down on eating out during the week. Up until then, she hasn't step foot into Ned's house. She hasn't been to his house and doesn't know where he lives. He usually came to her house with Uber to pick up the cooked meals.
Ned couldn't take Akunna to his house just yet because that would blow his cover. The penthouse he lived in was a house only the elites could afford cause there's no way a person that relies on monthly salary would be able to live in such a house. He knew Akunna wasn't dumb and would figure him out if he ever took her to that estate which his late grandfather owned and willed to him. The estate has over 30 buildings that looked the same. All those houses belonged to Ned as his inheritance from his grandpa. All the houses there were occupied by tenants who paid rents annually. She never stressed to visit his house because she knew they were taking things one step at a time so she never sensed anything fishy.
Akunna's birthday was fast approaching and Ned didn't know what to get for her. One cozy evening while he visited her house, they got into a deep conversation. As Ned caressed Akunna's hairs while her head rested on his chest, he began to ask her deep questions. "What's that one fantasy you have always dreamed of but never lived up to it?" He casually asked. There was a brief silence in the atmosphere before she replied; "To own a huge walk-in toy house".
That reply got Ned confused for a while because he wondered why such a common thing would be Akunna's greatest fantasy. Unable to think of a suitable answer, he probe her further. "Why a toy house?" He curiously inquired and she began to explain why. "When I was a little girl, I always dreamed of owning a huge walk-in toy house beneath the coconut tree in our compound. I dreamt of having toys and dressing them up, baking a cake on their birthdays, having tea dates with them and sleeping in the toy house. However, this dream never became a reality because I grew up too fast. As a little child, I could feel the presence of 'Lack' in my family even though my parents never discussed their lack of money in my presence. At such tender age, I heard a lot of 'you can't have this' than I ever heard 'you can have it'. At such age, I felt the need to help my parents cater for our daily needs even though such responsibility wasn't conferred to me. As kids, we don't need to be told some things but we rather feel them. When mummy couldn't pay my fees earlier and I was chased out of school numerous times, I felt her helplessness even though she tried to assure me that everything was going to be alright and that I would go back to school the next day. Most people don't know this but 'Lack' can kill a child emotionally in many ways you never know. It cripples their self esteem and sometimes robs them of their beautiful childhood fantasies and dreams. I was robbed of mine and now I am a grown woman but still feel like a part of me would never be completely happy because I missed out on one thing I dearly desired more than everything in the world and at a time I couldn't do it for myself. No matter how fulfilled I would be as an adult, the child in me would never be fully fulfilled and happy because she grew up too fast and never had the opportunity to enjoy the fancy things of life" she sadly said.
Immediately Akunna was done talking, Ned's heart was touched. He didn't say a word; he just patted her back and assured her that everything was going to be alright. He kissed her forehead and hug her extremely tight as they laid on the couch together.
After that day, Ned sought for ways to make Akunna's greatest fantasy come to pass. He knew that would be the best birthday gift he could give to her that would have a long lasting impact in her heart. He gave the assignment to his assistant to bring to life. He was specific on what he wanted and didn't exclude the fact that the toy house had to be situated beneath a coconut tree. With money on ground, everything was possible to bring to life before Akunna's birthday.
Finally, Akunna's birthday came and Ned was probably the first to call her that day. Her birthday fell on weekdays so she had to go to work. Ned informed Akunna that he would be picking her up at close of work to take her to somewhere special. She felt it was going to be a birthday dinner date at a nice restaurant but was in for a lifetime surprise. Akunna closed early from work that day and informed Ned who came with an Uber to pick her up. As they got closer to their destination, he asked to blindfold her of which she agreed. After a 10 minutes ride, they arrived at a botanical garden hidden somewhere in town. Ned rented the whole garden for the day but didn't tell Akunna.
With the help of Ned, Akunna was able to walk till they got to a particular spot in the garden. "Babe are you ready for your surprise?" He asked and she replied "Yes" in excitement. Without wasting any more time, he removed the blind fold from her eyes and for a split second, her excitement dead an instant death. Ned watched Akunna's face go from happy to confused, then to being shocked and sober. She looked at him for more than two minutes with tears in her eyes without uttering a word. Her mouth suddenly became heavy and numb. That was the most thoughtful thing anyone had ever done for Akunna since the day she was born and that was a gesture that would remain undefeated till the day she dies.
At that moment, Akunna was lost of words and the only thing she could do was sob. She sobbed uncontrollably and didn't seem as though she was going to stop any time soon. All she did was cry, cry and cry with no words to describe how she felt. Being a supportive and understanding partner, Ned hugged her because he knew what she was going through within. He rubbed her back to get her to stop crying but no way; she cried and cried nonstop.
For over 30 minutes, Akunna was still crying and hadn't entered her toy house yet. Whenever she looked towards the direction of the house, the cry would worsened. Ned kept patting her back to calm her down and after close to an hour, he finally got her to stop crying and enter the toy house. It was really spacious and long so it could fit both of them comfortably.
When they entered the toy house, there was a birthday cake for her there with food and drinks for two. There were toys and toy dresses there too. To say Akunna was happy would be an understatement of how she felt at that moment. She kept smiling from ear to ear as her emotions were just too much to handle. Ned sang happy birthday song for her and took her pictures with his phone as she cut her cake. They eat and drank till they were satisfied before leaning on each other's body to rest.
Akunna couldn't stop saying "Thank You" to Ned all through that evening. She was grateful and was now more convinced than ever that he was the man of her dreams. That gesture made her fully into him and committed to their relationship like never before. She kept kissing him as they cuddled each other in the toy house.
Since the lovebirds began dating, they hadn't made love. At that moment, Akunna suddenly felt like it was the perfect time to give her body to Ned. She wanted to have him there and then and just felt like ripping him apart. The atmosphere began to get heated up as the lovebirds kissed passionately.
After kissing for a while, Akunna looked into Ned's eyes and pulled her shirt down from the shoulder area, thereby leaving her shoulder exposed. Ned leaned forward and planted a soft kiss on her shoulder, neck and chin.
Unable to hold back the ranging emotions that had taken over the atmosphere, Akunna looked into boo's eyes, took a deep breath and gently said; "Make Love to me here".

**T**rue character is what you do when no one is watching. It's apparent that Akunna was truly everything she said she was and more. If she faked her personality during the briefing with Ned when she first got employed into the firm as a cleaner, then it would have just been a matter of time before Ned sees through her lies and find out her true character. The fact that she lived up to the expectations of someone who claimed to have a strong value system built on Love was what broke the camel's back and made Ned fall even deeper in love with her and the best part is that she was now on her way to becoming the Production Manager of another firm owned by Ned's father. From Akunna being a cleaner to becoming a production manager in less than two months she came in contact with Ned and blow his mind away with her mesmerizing character and genuine personality. Now that's grace!
Immediately Ned broke the good news to Akunna about her new employment, her heart dropped. She was numb, dumbfounded and confused as to how such a transformation was possible. All she could do at that moment was open her mouth wide in shock. "How is this even possible? I just resumed work here two months ago as a cleaner and now you are telling me this will be my last day as a cleaner and that I have a job interview tomorrow for a big position such as the production manager for another company owned by Global Tech? Like how did this happen? I am shocked and don't know what to say or how to react" she said.
On seeing the shocked and confused state of Akunna, Ned smiled and looked into her eyes. "You deserve everything you are getting. There's no way I would have folded my arms and watch such an intelligent, smart and honest lady like you clean the floors of this company when you should be at the top. It would be a waste of potential for you to stay backstage when your kind is needed in the fore front of affairs. I pulled some strings this morning to get you a new job after you wowed me with your problem solving skills. I want you to flourish even though this company would miss an outstanding cleaner like you. Go and kill it tomorrow at the interview and reach out to me if you feel like celebrating with me once you get the job. You can have my card and call me whenever you want to; I wish you all the best Akunna" he said with a warm smile on his face.
When Ned was done talking, Akunna looked into his eyes and dropped a few tears. She wanted to hug him but couldn't because of boundaries and the fact that he was still her boss. She held the appointment letter tightly and placed it on her chest as tears dropped uncontrollably from her eyes. "I really don't know why you did this for me but Thank You" she soberly said.
As Ned watched Akunna cry, he felt a sharp pain in his heart. He wanted to wipe the tears off her eyes so bad but just couldn't because he didn't want to cross boundaries too. His heart bled as he watched the only woman he had ever loved cry for something as common as a job elevation when he had the capacity to make her never to work another day in her life. For some reason, he just wanted to take all her pains away forever and give her a pampered life but knew it wasn't in his place to decide such fate for her when he was still finding it hard to confess his feelings for her. Also, Akunna looked like the kind of lady that loves to be a part of something no matter how small. She doesn't seem like a person who would turn down an offer to bring something to the table as a partner even if she happens to date someone as wealthy as Ned.
After Akunna was done crying for few minutes, Ned finally spoke. "Stop crying and start getting ready for your job interview tomorrow. You can close now but first inform Human Resource that you might not be coming back here tomorrow. Let them know that you got a last minute job offer and had to resign" he said. Akunna nodded her head to everything Ned said to her. Finally, it was time for both of them to part ways and attend to other pressing issues. He wished her success for the last time and walked away.
With Ned gone, Akunna sat down and began to thank God for such a miracle and blessing in her life. Shortly after, she headed to the HR office to tell them exactly what was instructed of her. The resignation was accepted in good fate and her employment with the company was dismissed.
Immediately Akunna got back home that day, she began to prepare for the upcoming job interview she had the next day. She studied and rehearsed some interview questions in the bid to prepared herself well. The next day, she arrived at the firm an hour early for her interview and effortlessly aced it. She gave the interview personnel a run for his money and left him dumbfounded at such level of intelligence she showed. Without much deliberation, the job was given to her and she was told to start right away.
What a happy day indeed it was for an orphan who had been through a lot. There's no suitable word to fully describe the joy and excitement Akunna felt when the news of her new employment was broken to her. She shed tears as she thanked the interview personnel that broke the good news to her. It was such a rollercoaster of emotions and she couldn't believe that was her life. Work began immediately after the interview and she got introduced to her subordinates at the production department.
Immediately after the job interview, the Manager reached out to Ned who had called earlier to inquire how everything went. He told Ned all that happened back at the interview. As he spoke, he couldn't help but commend how smart, intelligent and awesome Akunna was. He had too many nice things to say about Akunna and this made Ned's head swell. There was nothing as pleasing to Ned as hearing all manners of good things and compliments about a woman he was desiring a relationship with. It made him feel proud of her. "Thank you Philip, I appreciate your promptness to giving her the job. Thanks for this favour" Ned said and the manager told him not to mention.
When the call ended, Ned couldn't stop smiling. He was super happy that things went well and hoped that Akunna would call him to break the good news to him. He didn't have her number so the only way to communicate with her was if she called first. Deep down, Ned prayed for her call because that would be a breakthrough in his pursuit for a relationship with her.
All through that day, Akunna was extremely busy with work at the new firm so she couldn't call Ned to break the good news to him yet. It was when she arrived home in the evening that she tried reaching out to him. On seeing that it was passed 7pm, she felt it wasn't appropriate to call by that time so she sent a text message to break the good news to him. It wasn't even up to two minutes after sending the text and her phone rang. She looked to see who was calling and it was Ned. Happy and excited, she picked up.
"Hello sir, Goodevening" Akunna greeted, "Goodevening Akunna, how are you doing?" Ned asked, "I am fine sir. I'm sorry I couldn't call you earlier after I got the job, I was so busy and decided to send a text message immediately I got home since I felt it might be inappropriate to call by this time" she said. Ned smiled and assured her that it was fine to call whenever she wanted to, that so far as he isn't asleep, he would pick up. Akunna thanked him once more for the job and he told her not to mention.and he told her not to mention.
As the call was headed towards an end, Akunna thought to do something more to show her appreciation. "Sir I don't know if you would accept this offer but I would like to buy you dinner on Saturday at a good restaurant not too far from my house. It's my way of saying Thank You" she said. Ned was touched by her kind gesture and accepted the offer ofcourse, since it meant he would have enough time to see and talk to her. "Count me in, I accept" he said and Akunna happily thanked him for accepting.
When the call ended, Ned couldn't stop smiling. He was happy for two things which were: having Akunna's number and going on a casual dinner date with her. He couldn't wait for weekend to come so he can see her again. It was such a good development as regards his desire to officially seek for a relationship with her.
As Saturday drew nearer, Akunna realized that she didn't have any fancy dress to wear for the casual date. She raided her wardrobe in search for a suitable outfit but there was none so she had to go to market to buy one after closing from work on Friday. The first store she entered had this yellow floral gown that could make a person's eyes pop and make them look enchanting. The store owner persuaded her to go for the yellow dress and she bought it after trying it on. The dress for the occasion was ready, but it was remaining her hair and shoe.
At that time, Akunna didn't have too much money to spare on shoe and hair since she would be paying for their meals so she subjected to wearing a nice sandals her mum owned and going on her natural hair. She packed the hair up in a bun style and it made her look like an angel on earth.
Finally, it was time for the dinner date. Akunna sent the restaurant's location to Ned so he could locate the place. That area wasn't in the upper class part of town but rather in the lower class area. Ned had never been to that area before so he had to rely on his Google map to find the restaurant which was quite huge in that area. He parked his latest model 'Range Rover' in a filing station at a very far distance and used a taxi to locate the restaurant. He didn't want Akunna to know just yet that he was wealthy. She knew he wasn't a poor man but she definitely had no clue that he was super rich. She didn't know he was the CEO's son of 'Global Tech Company' and also didn't know that they owned the company she was presently employed in. If only she had a slight knowledge of this detail, I believe she would have never invited him to such a restaurant. But you know, the greatest good gestures are the ones from a heart with pure intentions. A heart that isn't seeking for validation or what to gain.
When Ned arrived at the restaurant with a taxi, Akunna was super happy to see him. She walked towards the taxi to pay for his fare but he was quick to stop her. "What are you doing?" He asked with a smile on his face, "I want to pay for your taxi" she happily replied and Ned chuckled, "Don't worry, I have got this" he said and paid for the taxi. They walked into the restaurant and took a seat and that was when he clearly saw how beautiful she looked that evening. From her hair, down to her dress and sandals, she looked breathtaking and he couldn't help but compliment her.
"You look beautiful I must confess" Ned said and Akunma blushed, "Thank you sir and you look good too" she replied. He looked into her shy eyes and smiled. She was just so cute and beautiful that he felt the need to protect and care for her. The waiter was called upon and their order was placed. Ned settled for goat meat pepper soup while Akunna ordered rice and chicken. They ate and spoke at length while at it. He asked her about her family and that was when she told him that her parents were late. It was such a heartbreaking revelation and Ned couldn't help but console her. He complimented her strength and zeal towards life despite being an orphan and an only child. She thanked him for being kind and they continued with their meal.
As they ate and conversed, Ned knew he had to make his feelings known to Akunna that day but the problem was he didn't know the perfect timing to strike. He sought for the perfect timing but it wasn't forth coming. While they were engrossed in their conversation, the chili in the pepper soup got into the wrong hole and began to choke Ned. He coughed and coughed till Akunna became scared and reached out to him where he sat. She gave him water to calm the coughing but it wasn't working so she began to sob and seek for help in the restaurant. The waiters gave him something to drink and it worked like magic.
Despite the fact that the coughing had stopped, Akunna still couldn't stop shedding tears. She held Ned's shoulders and patted his back several times to calm him down. "I am so sorry sir, are you ok?" She soberly asked and Ned smiled in the midst of his pain; "Don't call me sir again, just call me Ned" he said. She nodded her head in agreement while still tapping his back.
The restaurant's once happy vibes wasn't there anymore so Akunna paid the bills and held Ned on the shoulder so they could leave. As they walked out of the restaurant, Ned couldn't help but notice how selfless Akunna was and how she truly cares for people. Everything about her felt so innocent and genuine and it only made him fall deeper in love with her. Unable to hold back his feelings anymore, he had to spill it.
"I have something to tell you but don't know how you would take it" Ned said as they stood in front of the restaurant waiting for a taxi. "Ok, what's it?" She curiously inquired and he took a deep breath in before finally confessing his feelings to her. "I love you Akunna" he calmly said and on seeing the shock on her face, he continued. "You stole my heart right from the first day I met you for your briefing. I am madly into you and what you in my life. Take as much time as you need to think this through and let me know about your decision once you are done" he said.
Immediately Ned was done talking, a taxi came and he boarded it and left Akunna feeling dumbfounded, speechless and numb. He could see her still standing at the restaurant from the taxi side mirror as they drove away.
As Akunna stood there looking confused, she held her chest to feel her heart which was beating fast as a result of everything that had just happened that evening. As she watched the taxi drive away, she shockingly muttered "Am I dreaming?".

**L**ove is no respecter of persons, status or place as it can happen to absolutely anyone at anytime and anywhere. One of the greatest mistakes you can make is to try and predict or control 'Love' because the honest truth is that you can't. No matter how well you have pictured or imagined a suitable partner for yourself, be prepared to be surprised because things might not just go the way you want. The unpredictable and fair nature of Love is what makes it more beautiful because that way, everyone has a shot at it and not just some selected few.
Now pause and imagine a world where Love discriminates or could be predicted; what an unfair world it would be because it will mean that some people might never be privileged to experience the beauty of Love. It's such a relief that this isn't the case because if it was, then there's no way a man like 'Ned' with such great affluence and wealth would even blink at a lady of such low status like 'Akunna'. These two individuals came from completely different worlds but one thing about Love is that it doesn't consider man-made obstacles such as social class, beauty standards or qualifications when it wants to make an entrance into anyone's heart. Without an ounce of doubt, it's safe to say that Akunna had effortlessly stolen the heart of Ned without even trying. What a woman!
All through the rest of that day, Ned could hardly concentrate without the thought of Akunna popping up on his mind. It felt as though he was hypnotised by her personality because everything about her just seemed to drive him crazy: her smile, her composure, her brilliance, her politeness and her demeanor. Everything about her was such a mystery that he felt compelled to unlock more. Despite all effort to be in denial of his feelings, Ned couldn't deny the fact that Akunna had touched his heart in ways no woman has ever done.
While Ned sat in his office in deep thoughts, Akunna had already gotten to her house and began to prepare for her new job which was scheduled to start the next day. She was super excited to work in such a renowned company. Ever since she graduated from the university as a Business Administrator, she hadn't been fortunate enough to get a job after over two years of job hunting; hence the reason she had no choice than to settle for the role of a cleaner at Global Tech Company: a firm that specialize in manufacturing tech devices and household appliances. She had no idea that the CEO son 'Ned' was the man whom she unknowingly mesmerized few hours ago. The salary offer for a cleaner position was great so she had to take the offer even though she knew she graduated from the university with a First Class. It's sad that the economy reduced her to such position but I believe everything happened for a reason and that reason would soon be unveiled.
While ironing the uniform given by the company for domestic staffs, it dawned on Akunna that she didn't have any family member to call and break the good news to. She was an only child and had lost her parents few years back in a ghastly moto accident. At the time of the accident, she was 26 years old and was able to fend for herself after her parents demise. Life hasn't been fair to the young lady but she has never looked like what she had been through. No matter how bad things were, she would always put on a smile on her face and look presentable wherever she went to. Her extended family members were insignificant in her life and she wasn't the type to run to them for support whenever she was in need. Life was tough for the beautiful lady but she went about her daily activities gracefully and was always contended with whatever she had.
That day was a sad and happy one for Akunna. She was happy for her new job and was also sad that her parents weren't present to share the good news with. She dropped a few tears but was quick to clear it up and remind herself of the strong woman she had always been.
Back at the office, Ned closed from work after such a stressful day and headed back home. He first made a stop at his family house to brief his dad on what was concluded at the conference meeting they had earlier that day before driving another 15 minutes to his own house. Ned lived alone in one of the estates that belonged to his late grandfather: It was a penthouse with astonishing decor to the taste of an eligible bachelor like Ned. He liked black and white a lot so his house had a lot of both colours.
When Ned arrived at his house, the gateman greeted him and collected his briefcase. His house was his sanctuary and peaceful haven after a stressful day at work. When he entered inside, the gateman dropped the briefcase at the center table and walked away while Ned sat down briefly on the living room to cool his head down before entering the bathroom to take a shower. As he sat in the living room and stared at the ceiling, it suddenly hit him of how lonely he truly was and how there's nothing he would want more than to come back home to a woman he loves. The emptiness in that house suddenly hit him and his eyes opened to what he couldn't see earlier before.
It's apparent that Ned's encounter with Akunna had unlocked a vulnerable side of him that was locked up for so long. The constant thought of Akunna was driving him crazy and made him realise that he wanted someone in his life as a partner. There was just too much love in Ned that he wanted to give to that special someone. He was a great guy and a humble son of a billionaire so imagine how well he would treat the woman that makes her way into his heart. That day was such a day to remember for Ned and after series of thoughts, he finally tried to prepare for bed and catch some sleep.
Very early the next day, Akunna was present at the company and began her duties. She showed up 30 minutes before her officially working hours. Without being told of what to do, she did her duty and rounded up on time before the staffs resumed work. After her duties, she retired to the cleaners lounge to rest.
y 9:30am that day, Ned walked into the firm and headed for a brief meeting with the board of directors. The meeting lasted till 11am and afterwards, he walked round the firm to supervise activities. As he walked from department to department, one thing was clear and it was the manner at which everywhere was neat. He could tell that the cleaning that day was different and deep down, he knew Akunna was partly behind it.
While Ned walked around the firm, he prayed dearly in his heart to bump into Akunna but sadly couldn't catch a glimpse of her. He indirectly searched for her codedly but couldn't find her. Gradually, his heart began to beat fast and his palms became sweaty. There was nothing Ned wanted more than anything in the world than to just see Akunna again. Unable to find her, he went to the Human Resource office to make enquires.
"Goodmorning Mrs Lola" Ned greeted, "Goodmorning sir" Mrs Lola quickly responded, "I just want to inquire if the new cleaners we employed yesterday has began their duties?" He asked and without hesitating, she replied; "Yes sir, they have resumed work. Akunna came in 30 minutes earlier today and did her duty even before we opened for the day. The other two guys are scheduled to work at the manufacturing department where we need more intense cleaning".
That tiny piece of information was all Ned needed to calm his emotions. The fact that he was told that Akunna came in earlier actually made him impressed and it validated all she said the previous day about her values. This gave Ned the impression that she truly meant every word she said and he began to see her as a genuine and pure person. After the briefing with Mrs Lola, he thanked her and walked away.
As Ned walked back to his office, he saw a familiar figure taking to the receptionist. She was faced backwards so it was a bit difficult for him to ascertain if it was Akunna whom he had indirectly been searching for. As he got closer to the receptionist counter, the familiar figure turned towards his direction and their eyes jammed; Lo & Behold, it was the one he had been searching for.
Immediately Ned looked into Akunna eyes, his heart dropped. The effect this lady had on him was too strong that it was almost impossible for him to put his emotions on check. Before he could say a word, she greeted him "Goodmorning sir" and walked away.
As Akunna walked away, it felt as though Ned's heart was parting from him. He wanted to call her back or go after her so bad but just couldn't. He was first her boss before any other thing so he had to live up to the 'boss title'. He was going crazy for a lady that had absolutely no idea that he could even blink at her twice. Akunna was just about her business and had never for once thought of Ned in a way other than him being her boss. She didn't go there to catch any feelings but to rather do her job as a cleaner and mind her business.
When Akunna left, Ned continued walking till he got to his office. Immediately he entered inside his office, he sat down and placed his hands over his head. He was trying so hard to be strong and to conceal his feelings for Akunna but it only further drove him crazy. His heart couldn't stop pounding, his palms couldn't stop sweating and his emotions weren't about to give him a break.
The worst part of the whole situation was the fact that Ned couldn't talk to anyone about his feelings for Akunna. Like how would he tell his dad, friends or siblings that he was crushing on a cleaner that worked for him? He knew for a fact that his dad would forbid such relationship and might even go as far as sacking Akunna. He didn't want to tell his friends or siblings either because he knew they might end up taking his feelings for a joke or talk down on the woman he was deeply falling for. Everything seemed so impossible that he tried talking himself out of the feelings he was developing for Akunna but all to no avail. He was helplessly 'Love Struck' and there was nothing anyone could do about it. After work that day, he went straight home to be alone with his thoughts.
It's been about a week since Akunna began working at the firm as a cleaner and Ned had only seen her once. It was just impossible to get a hold of her in such a big company. She usually came in 30 minutes early to clean up before the official opening hours of the firm and she was always at the cleaners lounge whenever she wasn't working. She cleaned twice a day and the second cleaning usually took place in the afternoon. The second cleaning comprised of cleaning the hallways and emptying the trashcans. Ned was either in a meeting or supervising whenever she came to empty his trashcan in the afternoons and this was the reason he never saw her.
For one whole week, Ned had been starved of Akunna's presence to the extent that he had to do something different just to see her again. One afternoon, he purposely stayed back at his office and refused to go anywhere that day in hopes that he would see her when she comes to empty the trashcan. Just as expected, there was a knock on the door and it was no other person than Akunna. "Hello sir, Goodafternoon" she greeted, "Hi Akunna, Good day" he responded.
Akunna seemed a bit tensed when she saw Ned because that was the first time she was seeing him on seat. She quickly waived the tension and informed him of why she was there. "I am here to empty your trashcan sir, can I?" She asked and he beconked on her to go ahead. In less than a minute, the trashcan was emptied and she turned to leave. He wanted to stop her so bad but just couldn't because of the 'boss tag' on him, however, he was happy to see her beaming smile again.
Weeks passed but the feelings still remained the same. Ned was going through a lot in both his personal and professional life. Firstly, he had a huge business deal to help his dad close for the company and secondly, a lady he was madly in love with but was powerless to have her. Everything was beginning to get to him at some point and this made him break down a little.
Due to the business deal that had a deadline attached to it, Ned was occupied with lots of paperwork and meetings. As the deadline approached, he had to come in more early to work and close late and it was in one of those days that something beautiful happened between himself and Akunna.
It happened one fateful day that Ned came in to work very early. At the time he came to the office, it was only the security guards that were present. He went straight to his office and buried himself in paper works. About an hour later, Akunna resumed work for the day and began cleaning. She was early as usual and cleaned from office to office till she got to Ned's own. With no clue that he was around, she opened the door only to see him on seat. The surprise on her face was priceless and was enough to light up Ned's sad countenance.
"I am sorry for not knocking sir, it's just that I felt no one would be around by this time as usual" Akunna politely said, "It's ok, I came in a bit earlier today because I have a lot to do, just go about your duty and ignore my presence" Ned said. Without hesitating, she began to clean the office but was quick to notice his down countenance and the paper works that covered his desk. She wanted to ignore but had to show concern. "Sir are you ok? That seems like a lot of work you have on your desk" she said and he smiled, "Yes you are right, I have to get these documents figured out in 2 days time for a presentation we have with another firm" he said.
One look at the documents on Ned's desk and Akunna knew she could help. She was really good with maths so she optioned to help out. "I can help out you know, let me see what you are working on" she said. The gesture was a nice one and Ned was mesmerized at how graceful and kind she was. He passed some documents to her and it didn't take up to a minute before she began to offer solutions. She cracked few of the maths and was able to project the cash inflow the deal was going to bring into the company. She also drew a pie-chart and gave a pictorial presentation of how the resources for the project would be channelled. In just ten minutes, Akunna figured out something that could have taken Ned the whole day to figure out. To say he was impressed would be an understatement of how the young man felt at that moment. In fact, he was Blown Away!!
Immediately Akunna was done helping out, she wished Ned all the best and left him dumbfounded on his chair. When she walked away, Ned knew for a fact that something had to be done with her position in the company. There was no way a brilliant mind such as that would be cleaning the company while those not up to her brilliance were sitting in furnished offices and holding big positions for the company. There was just no way!
That day was the greatest confirmation Ned needed to make up his mind about Akunna. He now knew for a fact that she was the one he wanted and this time around, he was going to go after her with everything he had without looking back. As he sat in his office still in awe of what the intelligent lady had just done, he began to see how he would take her off the position of a cleaner to a better one but he certainly knew that it won't be a good idea for both of them to work under the same roof; seeing that he had feelings for her and was seeking for a relationship with her.
At that moment, Ned's mind began to process of what his next course of action would be and an idea came to mind. He picked up his phone and dialed the number of a manager that managed one of his dad's companies which produced biscuits and beverages to inquire for vacancy positions. Fortunately, there were few vacancies and one of them was the position of Production Manager. Happy and excited, Ned informed him that he had a suitable candidate for the position and would send someone over for interview the next day.
What an excellent news for Akunna but she didn't know yet that it would be her last day as a cleaner. The interview appointment letter was sent via email to Ned and he printed it out. As working hours gradually came to an end for the day, he went in search of Akunna and found her in the cleaners lounge getting ready to close for the day. When she saw him, she smiled and greeted him.
"I was hoping to find you here" Ned said with a warm smile on his face, "Sir is there anything you need me to do before closing for the day?" Akunna innocently asked and without saying much, Ned handed the piece of paper to her and she opened it right away thinking it was another paper work that needed last minute solving. As she read through, her countenance began to change. It took a while before she finally figured out that it was an interview appointment letter for the position of 'Production Manager' in another company owned by Global Tech. It would actually interest you to know that up until that moment, Akunna still had no idea that Ned was the CEO's son. She felt he was a manager and supervisor that's all. It still hasn't come to her knowledge that he was a billionaire and Ned didn't see the need to spill such detail just yet till he was ready to tell her who truly he was.
Immediately Akunna was done reading the appointment letter, her heart dropped and her mouth suddenly became heavy. All she could find herself saying was "What...How?..When?".
On seeing Akunna's shocked state, Ned smiled and finally broke the good news to her in his own words; "Congratulations Akunna, this is your last day as a cleaner".

Have you ever loved someone you never imagined you could even blink at twice? Have you ever found yourself in a situation where words failed you when you tried explaining to a third party why you love your partner the way you do? Have you ever been in a relationship that makes sense to only you and your partner and no one else? If you have experienced any of the scenarios above, then you might probably have a little glimpse of the reality of an amazing young man named 'Ned'.
It all started several years back when Ned returned from the United States back to his motherland to help run his dad's multi million dollar company. His family was a perfect example of what the upper class and elites looked like. They were stinkingly wealthy to the extent that they had piled up money for future generations to come. Despite coming from such a wealthy background, Ned was a humble and compassionate man. He loved the simple things of life and hardly ever bragged about his family's wealth.
When Ned returned from the United States, he was given a lavish welcome party and all his friends were in attendance. It was a wonderful evening and the warm reception made him happy to be back home. It was fun catching up with old friends and seeing his family again. After that day, work begin almost immediately at his dad's company.
Back in the US, Ned managed an annex of his dad's company that was situated there so it was a bit easy for him to manage the big headquarters back home. He was put in charge of supervising and managing all staffs even down to the cleaners. The job description of managing and supervising all staffs was in a bid to train him for the bigger responsibility of running the company someday.
Being a very hardworking and zealous young man, Ned went about his job at the company with all seriousness without slacking. He never tried to feel too important and certainly never behaved as the son of the CEO. Due to Ned's attitude, he was able to get genuine respect and obedience from the staffs he was put in charge of and this made his job a bit easier for him.
It's been about two months since Ned returned from abroad to help run his dad's company. So far so good, he was doing an excellent job and his father 'Mr Tony' couldn't hold back his excitement and compliments. "My son, I am very proud of you. Most times, I often wonder if you are truly my son due to how different you are from your younger siblings. You are too humble for a person with such affluence and I wish I have your meekness and humble traits. You make me so proud to the extent that I ask myself if I truly deserve a son like you; judging by how pompous and proud I am. It's apparent you took after the humble nature of your late mother: she was such a gentle, kind and loving woman. We miss her everyday and I'm glad I have a piece of her in you. Keep being the amazing man that you are; I love you son" Mr Tony said. Ned smiled and gave his dad a warm hug; "Thanks dad, I love you too" he said.
It's no mystery as to why Mr Tony was in awe of his son's humble personality. Those who know Ned's dad would testify of his proud, arrogant and pompous nature. For a man that also grew up with a diamond spoon in his mouth, he was nothing like his son 'Ned'. The wealth in that family didn't start today but rather, it has been passed from generations to generations. Ned's grandfather was a business mogul that owned a conglomerate of business ventures. Mr Tony also knew what it felt like to be born into wealth but he was the opposite of his son 'Ned'. However, despite the contrast in personalities between father and son, Mr Tony was still very much proud of Ned and was a great father to him.
Ever since Ned returned from the US, his dad has asked him occasionally about the woman in his life and he usually replied "I haven't found her yet". Ned was single despite having women of all shapes, sizes and nationalities flocking around him. He had women that would do just anytime to be his girlfriend but he never led any of them on, neither did he open his heart to any. He couldn't quite tell what exactly he was looking for but he definitely knew that he would know once he found it.
Due to the confusion surrounding what Ned was looking for in the woman he wanted to spend forever with, it made it really hard for him to explain to his dad why all the suitable ladies from different affluent families weren't his spec and were certainly not what he wanted. He couldn't give a reason as to why he didn't want to date the ladies his dad felt were perfect for both his standard and social status. This made it difficult for Ned to engage in conversations that centered around his love life.
It could be that Ned sought for something beyond physical appearance and what the eyes could see. He wanted a deep connection with the woman he would spend the rest of his life with and sadly, none of the available options gave him such deep connection. Whenever he tried engaging them in conversations, it usually seem shallow and it got him easily bored. Deep down, he knew he hadn't found 'The One' and he was never going to settle. Everything carried on the same until one fateful day that changed everything.
It happened one date that there was shortage of staffs in the cleaning department so Ned alerted 'Human Resource' to recruite new staffs. Whenever a new staff gets employed in the company, Ned usually had a briefing with them as the manager before they officially began duties. That day, HR employed 3 cleaners and they were two males, one female. Ned was busy with a conference meeting all afternoon so the newly recruited employees had to wait till he was done. After over 4 hours of being in a meeting, he was finally done and called the new cleaners one after the other into his office for briefing.
The guys went in first one after the other so it was remaining the lady. After the last guy walked out of the office, the secretary called tha last person to go into Ned's office; which was the lady. Immediately she walked in majestically with a warm smile on her face, Ned froze the very minute he set his eyes on the enchanted beauty that stood right in front on him. He was smitten and didn't know why.
"Good day sir" the mysterious lady greeted, "Good day, have a seat" Ned said almost immediately. She sat down and looked into his eyes as he briefed her of the company's ethics and values. While ned spoke, she brought out a notebook and pen to jot down the things he was saying which was different. This was the first time a new employee felt the need to jot down things while being briefed and Ned was a bit impressed with that. After speaking for about 5 minutes, he was done and proceeded to ask her few questions before finally dismissing her.
"As an individual, what are the values that guides your everyday decisions and code of conduct?" Ned asked and sat back anticipating a shallow response as usual but the reverse was the case. The lady took a deep breath and said "Love".
For a moment, Ned was confused as to how 'Love' was a suitable answer to such a question that deserved a high magnitude of explanation. Without hesitating, he probed her. "Explain your answer" he bluntly said and she smiled faintly then gave a befitting reply. "I choose Love because that's one language everybody understands despite their background, religion and views of life. I often imagine a world where there is no judgments, no slander, no hatred and no war. As an individual who seek for such a world to become a reality, the only way I can play a part to making it come to pass is to let Love guide my every decision, actions and words. Before I speak, act or make a decision, I first let Love lead the way so I don't get triggered or influenced by what my mere eyes can see. With love as the primary values of my life, I sure know that every other thing will fall into the right place. As an employee here with a core value such as this, it would also put me on track whenever I want to come in late for work or not do my duties on time. I would always put myself in my employees shoes to be able to feel their pain when things aren't done rightly and this would help condition me to never want to put them thought that stress by not living up to their expectations of being an effective clearer for this company. With love as my core values, it makes life a lot easier to never want to intentionally hurt anyone. Love is actually the ultimate because it's one language everybody understands regardless of who they are" she calmly said.
At that moment, words would fail me to fully describe the state of Ned's heart and mind. He was blown and for the very first time ever, a woman swept him off his feet. Still shocked and dumbfounded, he smiled and informed her that the briefing was over. "Thank you sir" she smiled and got up to leave.
As the mystery beauty headed for the door, Ned realized he didn't know her name yet; "I haven't gotten the chance to know your name yet, can I know your name?" He calmly asked and she smiled; "My name is Akunna" she replied. "Nice meeting you Akunna and you are welcome to this company" he said and she thanked him.
Immediately Akunna walked out the door, Ned leaned back on his chair and fell into deep thoughts. His heart couldn't stop beating fast. It felt as thought his heart had been touched in a way like never before. He became vulnerable just at the thought of Akunna and how intelligent she sounded for someone with the job description of a cleaner, when top staffs didn't sound half as intelligent as she did when he briefed them.
It was a rollercoaster of emotions for the once hard guy and at this point, it's safe to say that Akunna had unknowingly made her way into the heart of a man that once seemed impossible to impress.
As Ned laid back on his chair in deep thoughts, the only thing that overshadowed his thoughts was no other person than the mysterious 'Akunna'. It might be too early to declare this but it seemed as though the young man was 'Love Struck' and all he found himself doing occasionally was exclaim "Wow!".

The truth is, as soon as you stop being yourself, you seize to be a happy person. 3. KEEP CHASING THAT DREAM: If you have ever chased a dream and there was no obstacle, check very well it might just not be an earth shaking dream. Obstacles are meant to fuel you to keep chasing that dream. In fact, I believe that obstacles are signs that the results will be magnificent. Don't stop now, keep moving.

l was sleeping next to my wife when I got a notification from Facebook. I stood up to check; it was a friend request from a lady. I decided to go through her profile to know who she is. Finally, I found out that it was my old time school mate.
I accepted her friend request and I sent her a massage "Hello" since she was still online. She replied "Hi, I heard you are married with kids" I responded, "Yes". she said, I really love you and I'm willing to do whatever it takes just to be part of your life"
Hmmm, I quickly closed the chat to make sure my wife was sleeping.
I left the bed and sat on the chair that is in my bedroom.
I looked at my wife, she was deeply sleeping after the busy and exhausted day from work and house chores.
As I was still looking at her, something came into my mind. "This woman doesn't deserve to be cheated on, look at how safe and comfortable she's sleeping in our bedroom. She really trusted me so much that I can't hurt her" I started thinking, " she left her family, her caring mother, her Dad who at all times was providing almost everything she needs and her siblings who always brighten her day and joined me in my one bedroom apartment leaving her dad's mansion.
All these thoughts and more was driving me crazy. Then I asked myself, "how can I do this wickedness to this innocent woman?" So I hurriedly picked up my phone and hit the "BLOCK" button.
I turned to my wife and I walked straight to the bed and cuddled her and she adjusted herself to accommodate me.
I can't afford to loose her trust or make her cry. NEVER!
I was able to do that because I am a "Real" man. Real men don't cheat on their wives. Real men don't make their wives cry. Real men don't make their wives regret Marrying them. Real men value their wives more than any other woman.

Love story
We met at a bus park in AUCHI 2014,i was there to submit my change of course form so on my way back to Benin city I sat close to him in the bus.
I was playing music 🎶 with my phone I blocked my ears 👂until he tapped me and started a conversation which led to him asking for my contact on which I refused to give him,he pleaded for it so I told him I would rather give him my Facebook handle and I told him only once not knowing he didn’t get the full name (the only name he could remember was RUTH) that was how he searched all through Facebook looking for my account after how many months he found it and sent a DM but I didn’t respond because I don’t chat 💬 on Facebook.
A year / half months later i attended my neighbors wedding 💒 and I was part of the bridal train as soon as we matched into the church guess who I saw !🤣
He was the one playing the drum 🥁 during the church service,on our way to the reception he blocked me and said I must give him my number otherwise I won’t go anywhere he even explained that he wrote a note for me and told one of the ushers to give it to me but the usher didn’t deliver the note 📝......after much plea I still didn’t give him the number 🥺.
He kept sending messages to my neighbor who was his church member that he likes me and he really wanted us to be friends,after so many thoughts i replied his dms and we didn’t chat much because I wasn’t paying attention until he stopped coming online.
The following year I was going through my message requests and I saw this strange handle with long messages ah I was like who is this one again only for me to open it he was the one,he lost the old account and this was his new account (after reading the messages i was moved and I gave him my contact)he kept calling and before you knew it we became close on phone and he wasn’t around so we couldn’t go on dates either🤭.....his birthday came close and he told me he would be visiting home soon and that his wish was that I attended his party 🎉and I did😁.
I attended his birthday party and from that day we became really close that we shared secrets together infact we were best friends I only was him as a friend and he wanted to respect my decisions....until Oga couldn’t help it he started disturbing my younger sister @chukwuma_sn that she should talk to me o 🤣 as the indaboski that I was I didn’t change my mind ooo I even said if he pressure me again I no do friendship anymore 🤷
I had a dream two weeks after his birthday in that dream we were wearing same pajamas and a baby was crying in the dream we were a couple in that dream ,I woke up rejecting the dream sef 🙆♀️
It didn’t take too long I was in my 3rd year in auchi poly I noticed I could no longer stay a day without talking to him ,infact my room mates and friends would tease me and say “who be this person wey dey always make you smile reach your ear 😂” I would lie that’s nobody that I was reading something on social media.
Months passed and it was October my birthday month that month he no longer talked to me as before,I didn’t know he was discouraged and he wanted to step back😓,meanwhile I was really missing his company I was no longer feeling cheerful I looked forward to his text messages until I opened up to my friends and told them and they said there is nothing wrong giving it a try and then I said to myself since I am graduating this month let me give relationship a try and behold on the 25th of October I sent him a message in quote “YES “ and he was like “yes what ?” And I replied I am giving us a chance OMO that day he was so happy 😀 and I was too because I didn’t see him as a stranger anymore.
A year later this young man asked for my hand in marriage 🤭and I said YES but made my dreams known to him that I have always promised myself that I would love to build a name for myself before I marry.
He is the type that doesn’t like his woman working and he would want to do everything for her but I insisted that I will continue working and since I was very young at that time I would use the time to know him well enough and fast forward to this day we are still together stronger than ever 😍

Be encourage
This is another opportune time to encourage ourselves in the Lord. A lot of things are happening in this world that is difficult to understand. Many are distressed, frustrated and discouraged with their lives including unbelievers and Christians alike. Discouragement is the opposite of encouragement. The church is the family of God on earth and Jesus Christ is the Head of God's family. As believers, we are all related as brethren through Jesus Christ. John 20:17. So, the church should serve as a rallying point for encouragement in the Lord. Every believer has a role to play in encouraging one another. Just as it is in a family, there are elders and youths and babies but everyone plays his or her own role to support one another, likewise in the church, we all have a role to play in encouraging and supporting one another. The elders have the experience and wisdom while the youths have the vibrancy and energy to get things done. They all complement one another even as the babies need protection and milk to survive and grow. Be an encourager, don't be a discourager.
From the Bible verse above, David had become a liability to the people he was leading, due to the calamity that befell him and his followers, the people had lost hope in him and they were even planning to kill him and do away with him . The people thought David was a liability but David did not allow their thinking to define him. David knew he was an asset. David knew he carried something from God. David was aware of God's anointing and covenant upon his life. Though it looked like everything had been lost, their wives, children, money, properties etc but David reminded himself of the Lord his God who is the Creator of the entire universe. Psalm 89:20-22. I don't know how bad your situation may be looking now but I want you to know that God is able to turn that situation around for your good. Over that matter you are going through, what do you see around you? Which kind of people are you surrounded by? Are you surrounded by people that have lost hope in you, who look down on you thinking that you are down and finished. I want you to be aware that God is with you and as long as God is with you, you are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ our Lord. As Christians, we are not fighting for victory; we are fighting from a position of victory. Our victory has been predetermined already in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:37
David knew that the issue was a spiritual matter whereas his followers were focusing on the physical realm, wailing and apportioning blames. David understood that the enemy was only out to frustrate him and derail his destiny but he decided he was never going to allow the enemy to succeed in discouraging him from God even when it looked like all had been lost. What have you lost? What has the enemy robbed you of that wants to discourage you from God? This is not the time to blame yourself or allow yourself to be discouraged. Instead of blaming yourself for your past mistakes, wrong decisions and associations, it is time to encourage yourself in the Lord. Instead of looking backwards, it is time to look forward by the word of God. This is the time to look inwards and find a reason to trust God over the matter. If you look very well, you will surely find a reason to trust in God and His word. Despite everything that had been lost, David found a reason to encourage himself even when there was nobody around to encourage him. One of the reasons why many Christians are discouraged is because they cannot find a reason to continue to trust in God. When they look around, all they can see are trials and challenges but they fail to look closely into their lives to see the amazing things that God has already done for them. It's like the story of the widow in 2Kings 4:1-7, the widow could only see the problems in our life as she cried to the prophet. She believed that she had nothing at home, in her life. She saw the small jar of oil in her house as nothing. But even that small oil she had, who gave it to her? It’s God that gave her that little oil but she was not appreciating it until that moment before the prophet. She did not experience the miraculous power of God until she recognized and appreciated what God had already given her or deposited into her life. The oil will not flow until you appreciate the Giver of the oil. She had the oil inside her house but she was discouraged and lamenting. Many of us are carrying something from God but we despise what we carry. We see it as nothing. God is waiting for you to look inwards and appreciate what He has done in your life no matter how little it may look to you. Appreciate God for what He’s done, for where you are presently, appreciate God. Stop lamenting and complaining. God has a purpose for depositing that little gift inside you. Learn to appreciate that little gift from God and see it grow big. You need to look inward and start to discover and appreciate what God has positioned into your life. There is something God has deposited in you though people around you may not recognize it. There's something glorious which you carry. You need to discover it and start to appreciate God for it. David knew he carried something on that day though the people around him could not see it. Peter knew he carried something when he boldly declared in Acts 3:6 " Silver and gold I have none, but such I have I give to you, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk" Peter understood that even if he did not have any money to give to the lame man, he had something more special than money which is the name of Jesus Christ. The reason why the name of Jesus Christ is special is because Jesus Christ is alive. Only the name of the living carries power. When officers come in the name of a living king, there is power but there’s no power in the name of a dead king.
Encourage yourself knowing that you have Jesus in your life. If you have everything and don’t have Jesus, then you don’t have anything. You are lost. But if you don’t have anything but have Jesus, rejoice and be encouraged in your salvation in Christ. Saul, before his conversion thought he had everything in life but he did not have Christ in his life. He was from a noble Jewish family, he was well educated, he was religious and he persecuted the church thinking he was fighting for God but all those things came to nothing after Paul received Christ into his life. Philippians 3:7. Everything he thought he had gained in this world, Paul counted them as loss for Christ.
No wonder Paul said forgetting those things that are behind, he presses forward towards the mark of the prize of his calling in Christ. That is the challenge before me and you today. Are you looking back at past mistakes, disappointments, relationships or other worldly things or are you pressing forward in Christ.
