A Rainy Week

Good Day Guys!

Let me share with you a quick recap of what happened during my day. Lately, here in Baguio, it has been raining for two weeks straight. There are only a few times we get to see the sun. Today was the longest, it actually shined for around 20 minutes. I thought that this would last all throughout the day, So I took photos of the shadows that the railings of the windows were producing.

I was really lucky today because I only had one patient. After the doctor did her rounds, she endorsed the patient I was going to treat. I got ready and donned my PPE's and went to the highest floor of the hospital. This is actually something that I hate about my workplace, we are located in the basement and the elevator doesn't work. Most of our patients are geriatric, dealing with pain and stroke patients. It's really not accessible for them.

I went to the ICU to treat the patient, he's recovering from COVID-19. The problem that he's facing right now is his mechanical ventilation wherein he's hooked into that because of his oxygen saturation levels. I was there just to mobilize the patients so he wouldn't develop any contractures in the future. The nurse in that ICU was really kind because she was assisting me when the patient wasn't cooperative.

After finishing the treatment, went down, disinfected, and updated our doctor regarding the patient. When I looked outside, it was raining again. I'm already getting fed up with the rain. My shoes usually get wet going to my workplace and when I go home. I don't know why but it gives me a really depressing mood.

To even make my day luckier, our administration gave us free lunch because it was the birthday of the President of our Institution. They gave us a fully loaded meal from KFC, it had chicken, rice, a chicken burger, brownie, and iced tea. I enjoyed the free lunch.

After eating lunch, I was just resting most of the time, I was also playing using my phone to burn time.

I really don't know why but whenever I leave the house/ my workplace it rains really hard. I just forced myself to walk to the place where I park. In the photo below, whenever you walk past that place, you have to keep your umbrella against it because the wind is really strong. I noticed that the people's face shields are also flying because of the wind in this area.

I drove home and this was what greeted me, the rain and wind were really strong, so I waited for it to calm down before going to our house. Finally, I got home, disinfected, and used my laptop. Ate dinner and I played some games.

I really hope that it would stop raining for a while.... I hope that you're all having a wonderful week!

Thanks for reading and Stay safe always!

Baguio is beautiful. I lived there for 2 years but moved because of the rain and all the traffic jams from people coming from all over the place, especially Manila. Used to live near Mine's View.

Nice writing, too. There aren't a lot of people on here who write well. Congrats!

I'm just down the mountain from you and multiple kilometers past the hospital in San Fernando. It's been raining here for a couple of weeks.

I truly agree with you! That's really nice to hear that you have lived here for 2 years. That's such a hassle to live near Mine's view. I could imagine all the traffic, especially during the peak season.

Thank you so much for all your compliments! It makes me want to write more hehe

That's so cool that you live there. I miss La Union already especially the beach. I just hate COVID so much that I can't go there.

Keep safe always!
