"That was Close!"

Been away for a couple of days again. Where was I? Probably you didn't wondered why, anymore. For all know, I am back at play again. And as what I have told today, our team has joined *"SK- Linggo ng Kabaataan 2022"* held at Hilongos Town Proper. Aside from that, we also joined a so-called *"Liga sa Barangay" (Barangay League)* held at one of our neighbor barangays. It was one of the higlights of their upcoming barangay fiesta. The type of tournament was still a double elimination. Meaning, if ever we loss in the first game, we still have a chance to play another game. And if we loss again, that was the time that we will be eliminated.

`(Photos during our morning game at town.)` Our scheduled were consecutive, that is why, I didn't able to make time for my side hustles *(probably not a right excuse)*. I was very tired and there were times that I didn't get proper and enough sleep because of body pain and the late hours game. And now, let usfocus on the one we called, ***"Barangay League."***

In our first game, our scores were really behind from our opponent. It was because of the service aces they've got from us and our errors too. I was a bit disappointed with my teammates because even the ball can still be saved, they will just wait for us to do their part and letting the ball just to fell on the ground. I wanted to spill it out but I didn't for one of the reasons was they were older than me. ***(Do I have an authority to do so?)*** I might actually have because I was choosen to be their team captain though. But all I did was just look at them and encouraged them to stay focus. I just smiled though I really wanted spill out my anger. The game ended very quickly. We even heard some of the audiences saying, *"Easy peacy!"* Last night, we've got another game. Loser versus loser. Our scheduled time was 9 pm but our game started around 11 pm because there were still two games before ours. After the game before ours, the referree told us to do pur warm up and so as with our opponent. Then a tossed coin was being done to determine which team will start the game with first serve and the other chooses the court. *(That was us)* In the first set, we were so behind because of services aces and some of our service errors. And then in our second set, we've reached a score 28 against 26 in favor of our team. Meaning, we won the second set of the game which leads us to the ***"decision"*** or the third set. In the first half of the decision game, we were ahead with three points but our opponent steals the table. They bombed us with some attacks and drop balls. As for ours, we only have, I think, less than ten attacks *(that includes mine)* because we still didn't have an official setter. We just did the attacking if the ball was really given to us properly during the receives. The game ended with a score 16 against 14 in favor of the opponent's team. After the game, we did the hand taps with the opponents while saying, **"Nice Game!"** That was one of our ways to show sportsmanship and camaraderie. That was close! Really close... Despite the results, I am very happy because I am now seeing some improvements in our game, especially on how my babies do their part for our team. Actually in that game last night, only my Aunt and I were the older ones. The rests were the new ones which I encouraged to train more and more, alongside with the few advices from our head coach and team manager. ***We may have ended losing the games but with the results I have seen so far, I can say that we were very close to get the chance to win one or more games in the next ones.*** ***"DAUNTLESS RAVENS...FIGHT!"πŸ’ͺ🏐*** That would be all for this blog fellas.
