Firefighter | Heroes Without Honors
High risk and endangering the safety of life is the responsibility and duty that must be undertaken by firefighters. The value of property does not count when a fire occurs but life is the main goal because the value of a person's life exceeds the value of valuable objects. Working professionally regardless of social caste in society is the main point of view when firefighters carry out their duties in the field.
Fire is a disaster that often occurs in every corner of the place in rural, urban areas, markets, shops, apartment buildings, schools, offices and housing residents are often attacked by the red rooster. Fire is a great hazard to human safety, property and the surrounding environment can be lost and destroyed when fire begins to cover the contents of the building. In the event of a fire, firefighters are always at the forefront to protect someone's life and minimize losses from the impact of the disaster caused by fire, but often the firefighters' efforts to extinguish the fire are hampered by the standing position of the building which is difficult to reach.
The task of the firefighters is not only to extinguish the fire but also to provide socialization to the public that the importance of being aware of the symptoms that will occur when human carelessness fails to pay attention to the use of materials that are identical to the source of the fire such as electricity, stoves, gas, gasoline and other fuels. The purpose of this socialization is very useful for the general public for prevention efforts which are usually carried out by educating the public on how to detect potential fires as early as possible.
Firefighters can be said to be heroes in the midst of disasters, not only acting to extinguish fires but also disasters caused by nature, chain work to save human lives is the main role of firefighters who must be prepared when natural disasters befall mankind. The readiness of firefighters to evacuate victims of floods, earthquakes, landslides, volcanic eruptions and other natural disasters is the duty of the firefighters.
Working as a firefighter is very difficult with very high consequences regarding the safety of the lives of officers who try to save the lives of civilians who are affected by disasters. Firefighters are exposed to high levels of occupational risk factors, such as safety risks, chemical, ergonomic, and physical hazards that can endanger their lives so that mental and health readiness is very important. Personality, physical condition, behavior and psychological characteristics of firefighters can affect their resilience along with organizational and management factors that play an important role in human safety because the right mechanism can save the lives of many people.
Accountability of firefighters must be owned by every officer or executive management of the organization but often the professional performance of firefighters is not as good as their fate in the field, when they are fighting to save the lives of others at the same time that the lives of officers are at stake. Their duties are often disproportionate to the rewards or wages of work when compared to the lives that must be at stake, a different view from government officials and other officers who sit around carrying out easy but high-paying jobs.
Often lives have been risked for food intake but not calculated wisely, a very strange sight when lives are of high value but not calculated properly, firefighters are heroes without honors.

This requires both passion, and sacrifice as well to do your responsibility truthfully. They are like soldiers, but sadly they are rarely acknowledged.
