Got my 1st salary this month and I was a little bit uncomfortable when people in the office teased us that we should treat them for lunch (we did). Is it required to treat your co workers when you got your 1st salary?🥴

over here that mostly depends on the company and the people that work there. If there are a lot of temps, then no. If there are a mojority of employees that work there long term than it often is. Mind you it is NEVER REQUIRED! It can be expected, but never required. That first paycheck could easily be the difference between paying rent just in time or pitching a tent under a bridge.

It's common if one gets a promotion but for a new employee , no, at least not here. Hopefully it doesn't continue if it does be prepared for an excuse, lol

Not at all infact its pretty toxic to be asking favors from your co workers and you should shake it off saying hey give me a treat first . Or just say you are on a budget this month
