Happy first day of August. How time flies. 5 more months then 2022. And happy Sunday. Sometimes I wonder what is happiness. I think it is a complicated element when it has to do with human. Because we are complicated beings (I would say in a good sense?) For example, we can be creative hype-up and has so much energy in one particular day to accomplish many tasks then to find ourselves so boring and moody just wanna lie down whole day watching movies or reading books or play…

How do you cook half-boiled eggs? I came across a video on FB by this guy who review on 'potty-like cook egg' way. It seemed he never saw it before. But, this is THE way I cook half-boiled egg for yearsssssa. My mum used it too when I was young. 'Kopitiam' aka coffee shops here used it too. It is so simple to use, just pour in hot water (preferably real hot water) into it following the measurement. Once the water is all fully drained to the bottom layer, the eggs are done.…
Take one step at a time. Think one thought for a minute. Pause to reflect. Stretch those muscles for awhile. Smell the coffee before sipping. Look into mirror and count the wrinkles. Feel your heartbeat. Listen more than talking. Bless one family a day. Send kind message to someone. Draw a flower once a week. 🌸🌹🌺🌼💮🏵️🌷🌻🌾💐 Since young, I found it satisfying buying lots of varieties of colouring tools (or stickers). Emotionally bored due to lockdown for months, I bought this…
Do you believe in making a wish when there is a 'shooting star'? For me, whether there is shooting star or not, I make wishes in my heart daily. Now, my top wishlist is that the world will be better again. Here, I used drawing prompt to kickstart my drawing. The prompt given was meteors. Alright, let's make 3 wishes. ❤️💚💙 #Art
It's been awhile I ate breakfast since I started intermittent fasting for few months. But I will resume breakfast this month onwards after reviewing my own body. This oatmeal with dried fruits and chia seeds are so delicious with or without milk. The children love it too, I add some into their cereal KokoKrunch breakfast. It adds some real sweetness to the milk. Yummy!!! Good day to everyone here. ❤️💪
1️⃣Mee rebus sambal sotong and 2️⃣ Mee goreng ayam From the Famous Bangkoklane Foods at Selangor, KL, Malaysia. Husband was going food delivery for mum's birthday at that side and he swang by to this famous shop to get the food. 'Mee rebus' means blanched noodles and the noodles was incorporated with 'sambal sotong' which is chilli sauce gravy cooked with cuttlefish. Other condiments like tofu, steamed potato, pasembur, beansprouts and vegetables and lime. When all mixed…
A hearty lunch at Aunt's. She cooked for us today 'wonton' herbal soup, preserved vegetables with pork slices and peanuts, bell peppers with chicken and steamed fish. Today's lunch is full lots of protein because she said she wanted to clear the meat before buying a new batch. She also gave us a pack of biscuit. What a generous aunt. ❤️ Happy weekend to you Noisers. #Foods
Two-Banana Banana Bread **I am not a baker but I do bake occasionally when it was needed, for example, when the last two bananas were overriped and no one else was going to eat it. And I didn't like to throw food away. So...I google-d "two-banana banana bread" . Usually, I would find the recipe which do not involve mixer because I do not have one. Also, I prefer to use fork and spatula to get it done asap. I was glad I found just the suitable recipe.** Two-Banana Banana…
Very refreshing mint leaves pumpkin soup from the kitchen. My aunty insisted us to eat mint leaves once or twice a week to strengthen our immunity and lungs. She bought us a pack of mint leaves. This is very simple to do, I had never cooked this before so I just do the basic way. Just stir fry with oil some garlic and onions till fragrant (if you have ginger, add it too), add in enough water to it or chicken stock, followed by add in the pumpkin, let it boil. When the…
I had this for lunch today. Been craving for some Thai food so I ordered 'Pad Kra Paw' with rice. In Thailand, it is spelled as Phat Kaphrao, a popular ala carte dish you can find almost everywhere there. It's main ingredient will be your choice of meat, here it is chicken, stir fry with garlic and Thai holy basil, Thai fish sauce and sugar. Usually, it is served with rice and a fried egg. This one which I ordered has its specialty - it was added some baby corns and diced…
After accompanying husband for his vaccination at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur, we stopped by to buy my favourite lunch - economy mixed rice. So many dishes to choose from, variety of protein, variety of vegetables. I ended up buying two packs to be shared among the two boys and myself. So worth it, total only 0.0052BCH. Pack A consists of a huge fried chicken drumstick, lettuce and egg glass noodle. Pack B consists of pumpkin, spinach & lettuce, sweet sour pork cubes and roasted…
Dimsum dinner always brings smile to us. The adults love it. The boys love it. There are variety to choose from and these were what we've got. Classic siumai, seaweed siumai, salted egg siumai, yimai (huge steamed fishball), fried fishball, stuffed tofu, eggmai (half egg half minced meat), stuffed bitter gourd and their signature pork ribs in sweet spicy gravy. The children love to dip the dimsum in the thick sweet sauce, the adults of course dip their dimsum in Kampung Koh…
🌼Daisies for their new beginnings after their deaths🌼 🔵August 9, we received news from my dad that our uncle passed away. My dad's closest eldest brother whom they could confide to each other. He is sick for sometime and had fever, then he passed on at the side of his family. 🟣August 11th, my husband's friend passed away due to Covid19, he also had some underlying health issue. 🔴August 12th, my aunt who was my mother's sister-in-law passed away due to lung cancer's…
Fluffy pancakes for the boys because I woke up earlier than usual and feeling energised to make something different than egg cheese sandwich. This is the easiest recipe ever, no mess, easy preps and oh so fluffy. I found it years ago and had been using it. Ingredients: 1-cup all purpose flour 1 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons baking powder 2 tablespoons brown or white sugar 1 egg (beaten) 1 cup milk 2 tablespoons vegetable oil In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, baking powder…
Another sumptuous meal served by my aunt. Today, she cooked braised chicken with 'kailan' (green vegetables) and baby corn, pork slices with black beans and stir fry lettuce. Also a bowl of soup cooked using bones and red dates, wolfberries and 'ling zhi' (Ganoderma) because she said the uncle who sold her this herbs said 'lingzhi' brings fortune and shoo away bad luck. She and I don't really believe but we love the soup and the taste of 'Ling Zhi'. 😁 Happy weekend everyone.…
Let's make a change from the usual Honey Star and Koko Krunch cereal to this type of oatmeal with yogurt dried fruit because it contains lesser amount of sugar. I am glad that the boys love it although they still prefer the sweet Honey Star and Koko Krunch cereal. Have you tried this before? It is yummy with or without milk.
Steamed French Beans using microwave for the FIRST TIME, I mean, usually I stir fry on gas stove top but it went out of gas the moment I wanted to stir fry the garlic. I do not have electric induction cooker or ceramic cooker. Emergency always make me call for Mr. Google, and Martha Stewart's steamed French beans appeared. Okay, I have microwave, let's try. Just place the washed cut beans unto microwavable plate, put the garlic and butter (I changed it to oil) onto the…
Once a week, I will boil Chinese herbal soup for the family. Usually, I boil those towards the milder version, meaning I won't use ginseng. Today's one just with dried figs, wolfberries and cordyseps. And I use two chicken carcasses for the extra flavour, this way, no salt is needed as well. Put to boil for 3 hours and the soup is flavourful enough for consumption. All natural flavours. But, if you prefer a little saltier, add in some salt is okay too. Wishing everyone a…
I had always love Teluk Intan 'chee cheung fan' and during younger days, friends who were from the place Teluk Intan would drive home to get some for us. Today, I found it at nearby restaurants, the family set up a small stall at the road side, using just a table and their van to sell this. So satisfying to eat something I had never eaten for some time. The 'fan' aka the flat noodle is nicely done, smooth, and the filling of fried onions and dried shrimp are just enough to…
Healthy wafer crackers for breakfast. I got this from parents-in-law, they suggested to eat with cheese, but since I am not a cheese eater, I ate it as it is. Hmmm....very healthy taste, if you like buckwheat you will like this. I guess the hubs and the boys will love to eat it with cheese on top since they love cheese to the max. I shall go back to my Hup Seng cream crackers dip in coffee tomorrow. Hehe.
Another day of thanking God for food on the table. We had stir fry spinach and stir fry pork filler with ginger, served with rice and a bowl of soup. I love simple meal like this, easy to cook, easy to preps and everyone eats happily. My best wish for you. And have a great day. 😊
Actually he is having some complication again - the abdomen pain due to food moving at intestines at the surgery area (after some times, the intestines would get stucked a little), but he is determined. He told us recently he noticed himself in the mirror and that he wasn't looking cool with the feeding tube at his stomach. He hopes he can gain enough weight so that doctors approve him of taking out for tube-feeding button for good. Let's agree with him, will ya? 😉 Son,…
Lunchie time! I love eating small portion meal like this, leftover from whatever my youngest son couldn't eat since his appetite is not so good today. Looks like poke bowl, isn't? Just that this is braised pork belly with broccolis and pumpkin. Super yummy Chinese food from nearby mixed rice stall. What do you have today?
Since we have leftover soup from yesterday, I added in seafood cheese tofu, Japanese gyoza and minced pork balls for the family. The boys love to have it with pasta, so pasta it is. I cut down carbs at night, so just a bowl of soup with the ingredients is enough. Once again, thankful for simple food. #Foods
Hi, NoiseCash people, It's been awhile the boys got out of the house. Since today's classes ended earlier, we got to go down to have a brief walk. Saw these beautiful hibiscus from one of our neighbours' compound, those who stayed at the ground floor. So beautiful to look at when you are stucked up at home most of the time. This is our national flower as well. And I especially love these because they are pink. 🌺💕 What is your national flower?
Happy weekend, everyone. This is a dish loved by many; young and old. It is from a TeoChew Noodle stall in my area. They couple sell noodle with homemade fishball and Teochew fishballs (fishballs with fillings) as well as pork noodle with minced pork and Taiwan sausage and special pork ball. I especially love the dry type of pork flat rice noodle with their pork ball and Taiwan sausage. It is a simple noodle meal with their signature soy sauce but yummy. Those who love some…
The easiest dish to cook for weekend will be pasta, don't you agree? So I cooked a huge amount of bolognese sauce with tomatoes and some potatoes, minced pork and mushrooms. It will come handy for two days I hope. One day with macaroni, another day with spaghetti. Then, I can relax my brain from thinking what to cook. Haha. What's your plan this weekend? #quickcook #Foods
Happy Sunday Funday! =) We have something special in the morning for breakfast. These are called Milky Bun, bought by my brother and sister-in-law. The filling is milky custard kind of taste. Very yummy and delicious. The buns are so soft and fluffy. The colours the bun are made from natural ingredients such as pumpkin and black sesame. Very creative bun maker. The buns came frozen. And when you want to eat them, just take out from freezer without thawing and steam for 10…
I think most people love 'siu mai', a famous Chinese dumplings usually served together as dimsum group. This one was bought as well by my brother and sister-in-law, well done by the seller. The texture of the meat is bouncy, juicy and tasty enough, although it doesn't contain fat content of pork and no shrimps as well. Most 'siumai' is a mixture of lean pork and fat pork and shrimp, but this is simple ground pork with seasonings. Very delicious. You can easily make 'siumai'…
Colorful dumplings by my sister-in-law @happycrazycon. I love the variety taste of celery pork dumplings, prawn dumplings, chives egg and pork dumplings. It is recommended to boil them or pan fry them. In order to keep the kitchen cleaner (less cleaning), so I cook dumpling glass noodle soup. Seriously, the dumplings level up the dish. 😘 I will never get sick of dumplings or siumai. Dimsum is the best. How is your day?
It's been awhile I cooked beetroot soup and I saw a firm, fresh, plump beetroot from the market, hence healthy nutritious beetroot soup for today. The pork shop also located nearby the vegetables market, so I bought some neck bones and soup bones for this purpose. Usually, I cook beetroot soup with carrot and corn, but I couldn't find any corn, so I substitute the sweetness with some red dates, honey dates and goji berries. Very natural sweetness from all these plus the nice…
==First time posting sad heart of mine== (because I am usually always happy that I forgot how to express sadness in my face. To express it in words is easier for me.) I never have insomnia in my life. But I will have 'intentional insomnia' because I needed a solitude time to exchange words with God - prayer chamber. To let out my sadness and anguish. Only to God, I freely express how I feel. In worship, I let go my burden and I receive His rest. Being a mum of a child with…
A different breakfast today since I was out early in the morning to son's school to pick up books for second semester. Usually, we ate half-boiled eggs on Sunday. For today, economy pack of 'nasi lemak bungkus', adding one fried egg. The rice is fragrantly cooked with coconut milk and the best is the 'sambal' chilli gravy, well done. Just the right amount of salt and sugar. But for Jansen, he eats his usual bread and cheese with cucumber. =) What's your meal today?
🤪 I always find myself missing you whenever it is raining, especially on rainy night. I know I should not meet you so often but I can't resist the urge to meet you once again. You are so satisfying. You are so easy to handle. You make me happy. My love for you is exclusive because I won't share you with other people. You are mine, and mine only. You are the only man I adore in this different way... You are my Ra-Man. Ramen. 🤪
Making potato gratin again with my own style, adding carrots and broccoli (next up, I will add bacon bits). Layer up the thinly sliced potatoes, shredded carrots and lotsa lotsa of grated cheese and one layer of broccoli cuties. Then soak them up in full cream milk with bitsy of salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. Bake at 180°C for 1 hour. I am sure this will be so flavourful. And yummy. And delicious. I am trying to increase the calorie intake of my youngest son…
