The weather is so hot and humid here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Just by doing nothing, I also am sweating. Here I am eating my lunch at economy mixed rice stall, love eating here where you could scoop the dishes you want and the boss will charge you accordingly. I took some potatoes minced pork, stewed pork belly and a vegetable. Yums! A hot weather also calls for a cup of iced barley drink. It is rare that I do not order coffee. ๐
I found really cheap air fryer at RM50 at $10. Oh well, it is local brand. I tried it today to cook the salmon marinated with olive oil and herbs, set at 180ยฐ for 15 minutes. Surprisingly, it tastes good. Not dry. Quickly prepared a garlic butter sauce to go with the salmon. The boys love it! Yayyyy. Good buy!
Cravings satisfied! We went to downtown Kuala Lumpur to eat the famous beef noodle. I had mine with yellow noodle, dry type. Husband had his with 'kuey teow', flat rice noodle, also dry type. Each dry noodle would be served with a bowl of beef soup with the ingredients you chose. I chose only fresh meat in my soup! So delicious. The minced beef was so well-seasoned. Very flavourful and appetizing. The slices of beef in the soup were so soft and delicious. Will definitely come back here again. Yums!

Blessed 9th Birthday to my Champion! ***We started our day watching a video of Jansen (my CDH survivor champion) at ICU, after a successful surgery, still fighting for his life to stay alive. Despite tubes around him, he was blinking his eyes, trying his best to open his eyes to look around, to look at his daddy.*** *I showed Jansen the video and he exclaimed, "Wow, I am so cute!"* As curious as he was back then, he is still the same. His curiosity, together with his creativity and imagination, makes him really animated, bold in his own way, mischievous and delightful. He is a keen learner, always trying his best in everything. He is indeed a walking miracle. We are so proud of him every single day. Proud to be 9 years old He had a few celebrations; one is combined celebration with his cousin who turned 8 years old, one at home and another one at dining out. During the combined celebration at my in-laws, the boys got to swim first, followed by cakes cutting and then dinner. Everyone had great time. It was our honour also to have my father-in-law prayed for the two birthday boys. The dinner we bought from a Chinese-muslim shop was super appetizing too. The following day, when we celebrated at home, we went to McDonald for breakfast meal. And then followed by simple celebration at home with two slices of cakes as well as his favourite ice cream pint. At night, we went out for dinner to celebrate him again. Went to Jamaica Blue as he wanted carbonara pasta. After that, we went to Chizu for chocolate cheese drinks and croissants. It was indeed a great celebration for him. He has come a long way, from relying on breathing machine to without, from 100% tubefeeding to able to eat now with occasional tubefeeding. We are so proud of him. He is a walking miracle!!!

It's been awhile. Life got really hectic as I started work as part-time tutor. And home still needs a manager for orderliness and cleanliness, me, the faithful one. Real life is real...duh.. How is everyone? Anyway, Jansen turns 9 years old and he was so happy celebrating. Cheers to more years ahead my CDH survivor champion! We couldn't be more proud of him! โค๏ธ

What we did at hometown? Cut hair!!!! Because cutting hair here is so cheap! For myself and my two boys, total paid was RM37. If I myself cut hair at Kuala Lumpur city, it would be RM45 for me alone. That's why I usually cut by myself at home. The perks of staying at small town is everything is cheap. I love my hometown.

One thing good about staying at landed property is you can plant the plants you like. These are my parents'. But there is also one disadvantage โ many mosquitoes. I had been hunting and beating mozzies these few days. I can't stand to let them go alive.

Hi, hope you are well. Today, both my parents are not free โ mum has work, she is a tuition center's English teacher, dad has appointment with friends. So my husband and I and our children got to go out on our own. Now with Waze, the maps on phone, it is so easy to navigate. We found a nice chicken rice shop at the neighbourhood and ordered so much for ourselves. Two plates of mixed meat. First one, we ordered roasted duck, BBQ pork belly and BBQ pork ribs and roasted pork. We were still hungry then we added another plate of roasted chicken and BBQ pork. So delicious.

Finally he is well and can start eating and drinking from mouth. I can stop tubefeeding him. So so grateful. Hearts filled with thanksgiving. And he got chance to play with his cousins too! And he had a chance to get out of the house, went to a mall nearby to buy him his new Ultraman toy too. And I am just glad to be back at my hometown. Health is indeed wealth. So please take good care of your health. โค๏ธ

Good morning, Noise peeps. Hope you are well. I am glad to be at my hometown now with my parents. Unfortunately, the boys were not well. The youngest one is having complications and needed to be tubefed, the eldest son got some throat irritation and minor cough. Husband is still recovering from his flu. We wear masks so that won't spread to others in the house. Mum and dad bought for me fried 'meehoon' aka fried rice vermicelli since I am staying at home to tubefeed my youngest son. The best feeling ever when I myself being a mum, but being cared by my mum. ๐ฅฐ
Finally, I got to try at this shop called 'I love Hokkien Mee'. I am a fan of dark soy sauce Hokkien Mee since 7 years old until today, still hunting for a good one. I just love the thick chewy yellow noodle stirred fry with that enough wok-hei with good amount of pork fat/oil, topped with generous amount of fried pork lard. The sauce must be salty, sweet and savoury with that wok-hei aroma too. All stir fry together with slices of pork and cabbages and shrimps โ the outcome would just cause me eat more than usual. Husband ordered their signature fried chicken which had been marinated with fermented red bean curd. Super delicious too. We also ordered two refreshing chrysanthemum tea drinks. A very satisfying late dinner after a hectic day.

Anyone tried this egg-stance? It is the day again when a lot of people posting their success of making the eggs stand up steady and proud. My husband is so good at it and I still can't successfully stand up one egg.
Saturday at my Aunt's again. And she cooked 4 dishes, she said she wanted to clear most of the meat in the freezer. She cooked stir fry potatoes with slices of pork, chicken with mushrooms, mixed vegetables with prawns and a steamed red dates. Super duper delicious. And I was protein overloaded :)
We had impromptu short walk at a place called Bamboo Hills โ an Insta-worthy place. Quite famous here among the peeps. However, all the food are expensive so we went back to our area for dining. Showing you some photos at Bamboo Hills. I super love place like this - greeneries, pond, flowers, waters, nature. Hope to come back here again for an awesome meal. Let us save some money first. ๐๐

Our Chinese New Year Day 3. Finally, the boys got to hangout together for some game date and swimming at the in-laws' new house. Mother-in-law cooked sumptuous dinner of stewed pork trotter in Hokkien way and 'jiu hu char' which was stir fry stripes of cuttlefish with shredded turnips. The pork trotter was so delicious with the fragrance from mushrooms and the softness of the meat and fat part, yummy! The 'jiu hu char' we ate by wrapping it with lettuce, topped with some chilli paste which also blended by my MIL. We had so much fun there. Meaningful. Simple and blissful. Oh yes, we had super alcoholic Christmas pudding which was actually Christmas cake, so much rum and Brandy in it till I could not enjoy. But my husband loved it. ๐

Happy Chinese New Year to Noise peeps who celebrate. We love wearing red during HCNY because red signifies prosperity. And you will notice many things in red too like lanterns and firecrackers. We are in super holiday mood. Just enjoying time with families and relatives. ๐
For those who celebrate Chinese New Year, I wish you Happy Reunion Dinner. We had sumptuous dinner at our Aunt's. She cooked two dishes of healthy stew pork with arrowhead, stew chicken with mushrooms and a sweet dessert drink. Sister-in-law cooked yummy cabbage rolled minced pork. Parents-in-law ordered delicious roasted pork from online, super duper yummy. Always love gathering like this with family and relatives. Happy Chinese New Year..๐๐โค๏ธ

One more week to go before Chinese New year. I had done all my shopping for giving goodies for families. Now waiting for the reunion dinner. I just came back from visiting my aunt. She cooked braised chicken with arrowhead aka 'ngaku' in our language, steamed minced pork with diced mushrooms, and stir fry prawns with cauliflower with capsicums. So yummy! Had your meal yet?

Wow, can't believe I did not post anything here for 10 days. Life is busy with CNY preparations, also looking for some tuition jobs and preparing myself for new transition. How are you? Hope you are well. Life is so busy and when finally we got to have some family time, I treasure it. I got to spend some quality time with husband and sons at KLCC park and then we went dinner at KLCC food court, purposely sat near the window so that we got the view of Symphony Musical Fountain. Quite a beautiful colourful sight.

Happy New Year. I guess many agree with me that year 2022 passed so fast. Now are in 2023. I didn't know what I have achieved but I thank God we are alive. I got my new table calendar of Words of Wisdom. Do you like the January's words of wisdom? "I would rather own a little and see the world than own the world and see little." Alexander Sattler. But but but... I want own the world and see the world. Means I wish I can own a lot and also can see a lot of the world. So how? ๐

Dinner time here at 7pm at Malaysia. What's your time there? I am having something fast which is of course instant soup noodle, chicken flavour. Added eggs. Schedule is packed. Youngest son is having his complications again. Doctor can't even 100% pinpoint except saying people who went through surgery at abdomen would have scar tissue at the inside, and so these scar tissue may affect or squeeze the intestines at time. Jansen always has his great time for 3 weeks, and then the last one week, he will feel painful at the intestines area, can't eat nor drink. So they said this could be occasional partial small bowel obstruction. He is resting all the time whilst needing hourly tubefeeding to stay hydrated. Really pray it will all lined-up well soon so that he has no more pain and can eat and drink. It is so important to have great health. So everyone takes care.

I still had some roasted chicken in the fridge brought back from church's Christmas dinner. Maybe I will do roasted chicken sandwich or maybe minestrone? Anyway, we had 3 chicken roasted with sides such as baked eggplant, baked baby potatoes, buttered vegetables and vegetables lasagna. Also roasted crispy pork, BBQ pork belly, sourdough pizzas (4 types, margherita, cheese, beef pepperoni and chicken pepperoni), bread pudding and barley gingko dessert. I couldn't take all the photos as we sat at long table setting, so I took what's in front of me. We ate till too full. Hope you had a great Christmas and holidays.

Blessed Christmas to everyone here. May this season be filled with thanksgiving. Love, joy, peace unto all. I also want to remember those who had gone through many ups and down this year, fought silent battles, cried tears alone, bearing burden heavily, moments of humbling and relearning or start-all-over-again, those who mourned the loss of loved ones, know that you are not alone. And no matter how hopeless life may seem, there is still hope.
Today is movie outing day with the boys. After watching Puss in Boots with the children, we went to The Burger Lab for early dinner for the eldest son and husband. Myself and youngest were not really hungry. They got themselves Messi Burger and Lab Burger with fries, mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Very delicious burgers. Myself and youngest son ate few mouthfuls of the mac n cheese and mashed potatoes. Love the lime juice too.

Beautiful flowers at wake service yesterday. Our friend's mother passed away and we just wanted to be there for support. She knows she will miss her mum dearly but she knows one day she will see her again at heaven and now her mum is cheering her while she lives her life to the fullest.

Yayyyy.๐ We had done the last hospital appointment for the year. Great job to little Jansen for progressing and making improvements in his weight and height. Still reduce breathing sound at his lower side of right lung but that is normal for CDH kiddo. More good news to come next year. Just gotto be positive at it. Then, we went to nearby coffee shop to eat some chicken rice, with some roasted pork. After that, we have a wake service to attend, hence you see we all in black attire. Hope everyone is doing fine here at Noise.

Went to the mall yesterday night to get some Christmas goodies and saw two new spots for children as extra activity and play. The Camp5 climbing spots and Jungle Gym. The boys were interested but we gotto budget it for next round. Christmas time, sometimes spend more than usual. So we just enjoyed watching other children climbed and played. Quite fun just to watch. ๐ Do you climb? Shame to say, I myself am not good at climbing. Growing up as a girl who loved to stay at home and buried in story books. Lol

Lunch time here. I find showing food is the easiest post to make. Everywhere I see food food food food. Haha. We are having simple chicken burger at home. But I don't have burger buns so I use the usual sandwich bread. Just pan fry the chicken patty with butter, and layer the chicken burger sandwich with cheese slices and mayonnaise and ketchup. Yummyyyy!!!

Some Christmas trees I captured during these few days of out and about. I love the sight of tall Christmas tree and the see different types of decorations they have. But after few days of going out, I feel like staying home for months. Haha. But, it is school holiday. Let's go out with family, don't be potato couch. Lol. Yes, I am a homey person. I got very tired after going out or travelling. ๐ Maybe more Christmas trees shots incoming.
