Kwek-kwek is a hard boiled quail egg that coated in batter and deep fry until its crispy. The batter itself is flavor less so i have no idea it has to be orange. Maybe just to look kwek-kwek more appetizing?If that's the reason, then it works.

Unlike fish balls that have been around as long as i can remember, kwek-kwek seems to be relatively new filipino street food that's been around for last 20years or so.

Its served with a spicy chili vinegar dip or sweet sauce dip. You can find also kwek-kwek in some other bar as well. The bite sized portion is ideal for bar food.

Tokneneng is actually the exact same things as kwek-kwek except its made from hard boiled egg of chicken.

Wow!😍Its so delicious.Kwek kwek is one of me favourite street foods.It is perfect when the vinegar has chili.Its nice to see thata again.Hope to eat kind of street food soon.

Sarap kumain ng ganito after uwian and every gabi sa plaza nakakamiss. Sobrang sarap nito with maasim asim na sauce grrr tulo laway ko sa kwek-kwek na to😂

i didn't know about toknengeng i only know kwek kwek i love streets food because there so many in my school ill try to save money but when isee kwek kwek i didn't why i spend i really love it when there are sliced cucumber in tagalog pipino it is the best patner i dont know toknengeng but i hear it to my mother but now i know the difference between that too and else i now miss kwek kwek because of you but thanks for this information i really appreciate it keep it up small knowledge but i love it thanks

My mouth is wathering .I also love eating tokneneng and kwek kwek with sweet sauce dip . That is one of my favorite merienda when i was a college until now . I love this kwek-kwek and it is one of the most popular Filipino street food. I love the quail eggs inside that orange coating to it. It is so yummy dipping it on vinegar with chilies, and onions, before eating for the best taste. Kwek kwek is kind of like a corndog, but with a quail inside instead of a hotdog. Thanks for sharing this. I miss eating this one. Good day!

Waaaahhhh.. one of my favorite street food. Kwek kwek. Tag 4 pesos ang isa nito samin or 3 for 10 pesos minsan. Panalo dito yung medyo maanghang na sawsawan. Yung tokneneng ang tawag naman samin Bulastog. Hehehe. Sarap nito kapag may white onion at pipino.🤤🤤🤤

All time favorite ng mga pinoy.. :) You better try to if meron sa inyo ulit.. Lagyan mo ng chili garlice or garlic yan with suka and pipino na may asin.. Grabe sa sarap talaga
