The Girls of The Not-So-Perfect World

It has been a while since my series The Not-So-Perfect World closed its curtain for its very first season. I just hope to continue it sometime in the future. But for now, I would like to reminisce about how the first season went by. I would just like to share with you how I envision the characters in the series.

I would like to share with you what they look like in my mind but I don't know how to draw. And I am not being humble here, I really don't know how to. I mean, I know how to draw, I just don't know how to draw a recognizable face. Whenever I try to draw something, it ends up becoming a doodle that no one else recognizes and it looked like it could be interpreted by a psychologist in a very eerie way.

So let me just save us all the potential nightmares and just try to use Anime references to picture the characters in my series.

Miss Erika

Miss Erika is the very adorable and caring homeroom teacher of Jeremy and the gang. She specializes in the English language but she could teach every other subject at the high school level.

She's quite timid but she's well respected by the whole class. She's soft-spoken and she has something that captivates her students, especially the guys. Their attention is automatically captured the moment she steps inside the classroom. It might be because of her compassionate smile, her pleasing personality but whatever it is, she's Jeremy's favorite teacher.

Andrea Goldstein

Andrea Goldstein is Jeremy's mother. She'd like to think that she's the cool mom and lives like her age isn't that far away from Jeremy's. Although technically, it isn't, you wouldn't really think that she's a mother of a high school boy when you see her.

She stays preppy and hip. Of course, just like most of the moms out there, she would like her son to grow up as the best person he could be. She lets her experience everything he needs to. As a young mom herself, she knows that sometimes, letting kids be kids is part of growing up.

Elucia

Elucia is a classmate of Jeremy. She's loaded beyond imagination. A daughter of the largest conglomerate in their country. She's born with a silver, scratch that, she was born with a gold spoon in her mouth and it's decorated with diamonds.

Since she was from a very wealthy family, she has been kept close to home. She grew up indoors in the safety of their mansions. How loaded she was in riches, she lacks in experience. She's an elite example of a rich princess but when it comes to the life and common sense itself, she's pretty slow on the uptake. She can be seen as an airhead when it comes to normal social interactions but she's well versed when it comes to the language of aristocracy.

Alice Shiroyuki

Alice is a fellow member of Jeremy's after-school club. She appears to be mature for her age and that may also be one of the reasons why she can be seen as an older-sister kind of character.

And with maturity comes curiosity. She's your normal fujoshi. She likes BL mangas and is addicted to wattpad eroticas. She tries to write sometimes too using the people around her as characters in her stories.

Megumi Totsuka

Another member of their club. Megumi Totsuka is no ordinary high school girl. At least that's what she believes. She believes that she is the reincarnation of a samurai that was once tasked to fight the evil forces of darkness and she's a hero in her past life. She also dresses the part. She sees Jeremy as her brother-in-arms from her previous self. She believes that together they fought the battle between good and evil.

Anna Mari Smith

Anna Mari Smith is the daughter of the owner of the school. She leads a group of girls to delinquency. She lives the way of the juvenile life as it fits her rebellious phase. She's quite the boyish girl. Everything girl is foreign to her but it all changes when she crosses paths with Jeremy.

But is the attraction strong enough for her to lay down her baseball bat and embrace the life of being a lady?

Momoka Kirisawa

Momoka Kirisawa is joined by Elucia and Mari at the top of the school's school idols. But the thing about Momo is that only a few people could talk to her. She's quiet and silent. And she's known to give off this cold aura that prevents almost everyone to come near her. Her freezing gaze and her sharp tongue do not help her case.

She may seem aloof but she's not a snob. She doesn't really know how to connect with people and the very first person to break that barrier was Jeremy. With him in the mix, she feels like she fits in perfectly with the group's dynamic.

She also doesn't try hard to be close to anyone because she's also living another life on the internet and behind the screens.

She lives alone away from her family because of troubles in the past. She supports herself with the money from her sponsors and supporters and the scholarship from the school is also a total blessing for her.

Is Jeremy in her world, or is she in his?

And there you have it. These are the characters in my story. I hope that having their faces represented like this can help you imagine how the story progresses. And of course, they really specifically and accurately look like that, the images above are just the closest approximation I could think of.

I wish I could draw what I have in mind but yeah, here's the best that I could do given the situation.

So with their likeness in mind, you might want to revisit the story again and catch up with it. You might want to do so while the second season is still in the works.
