Freewriting: Adam and Eve

They couldn't be allowed to fight. He had to think of a way to stop it. He had no time to think about every little detail that put him in that situation but he all he knows and deep down in his guts, he believe that they, Adam and Eve couldn't be allowed to fight because if they do, the world will not be the same and humanity would not be born at all.

He had no idea what in the world happened that he was transported back in time when Adam and Eve were the only people on the planet. It was the beginning of time and he found himself there. All he could remember was taking a nap on the couch in front of his TV and the next thing he knew he was far beyond medieval times and he was in the presence of the first man and woman.

And they were quarreling as hell. He could hear Eve shouting at the top of her lungs while Adam was out of the stone house acting like he could not hear a thing.

He thought that the fight was serious that it could be the start of the end of humanity. He sat down beside Adam. He contemplated really deeply. Maybe it would be better for Earth to not allow Adam and Eve to procreate, no humans, no problem. He thought about it, seriously, but then that would mean that he wouldn't be born and every advancement humanity has done would not be possible. He owe it to the world to make it possible so he decided to get in between them and try to mediate with their problems.

"So, what seems to be the problem here man?" he asked.

"Man, I'm just tired, she's always nagging. She always wanted me to work and work. I mean, what's the rush? It's not like we are going to run out of food or whatever. In the first place, it's her fault that we are living like this. If she didn't take a bite from that stupid fruit, then maybe, just maybe, we are still living the dream."

"I feel you, man. But you know what? She's your partner, through thick and thin. This whole world, it's yours to take care of and it's yours to make it your own. The world wouldn't be complete without her. She's part of your world now. And would it be much better if instead of her nagging, you wouldn't hear a thing from her? That would mean that she doesn't care. I think that she's just pushing you to be a better you for both of your sake."

"You may have a point there. Hearing nothing but nature would be peaceful but it would be lonely. I have been there, and I wouldn't want to go back to that. Maybe I was just too complacent and wanted to take everything easy. Thanks, man. Where'd you say you came from?"

"Oh, that's not important man. What matters most is here and now, and the both of you."

They continued talking fondly with each other. They were throwing jokes here and there and they were laughing among themselves.

Meanwhile, Eve was looking through the hole in the wall, it was the early known design of the window. She couldn't hear what they were saying but they seem to be having fun. It seemed like they were friendly to each other. And if she was being honest with herself, she thought that they were talking a little too close and a little too friendly. She didn't know what came over her and her chest tightened a little bit. She grew a bit more agitated but this time it was not because of Adam but because of the other man Adam was talking to. She didn't know what to do so she just went out and interrupted them. She walked over to them and tapped Adam over his shoulder. She then walked around and sat on Adam's laugh.

"So, dinner is ready, would you like to eat first, take a bath, or would you..." she asked while gently running the back of her fingers on the side of Adam's face.

He then smiled and thought that his job there was done.
