A Spinning Bottle and Indirect Kiss

Previously on The Not So Perfect World:

The class has been tasked to perform a play. With Jeremy Goldstein as the leader of the group, they have chosen to try and perform Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare. The role of Romeo was to be played by Anna Mari Smith and Momo Kirisawa will take the part of Juliet.

The group decided to hold their first practice at Elucia's place. Elucia provided a house in front of the beach for them. They were all dumbfounded to see how much of a "house" it was. It looked like a mansion right at the beach.

The group ran some of the first scenes needed under the direction of Jeremy. Lines were read and gestures have been made. Everything went on according to plan. Aside from some awkward lines between Momo and Mari, they were doing acceptably well based on an amateur standpoint.

"Mari, in this part, can you look a little more yearning. Imagine that you are in front of the one you love who you have been longing for an eternity." Jeremy pointed at a part of the script while Mari was looking over his shoulder.

Mari was blushing, surprisingly, it was not from the hot sun since they were practicing inside the beach house's living room. She was blushing since she was so close to Jeremy that she could sniff Jeremy's manly scent that was coming from his perfume.

"Ahm. Mari... you okay?" Jeremy asked as he saw that Mari looked flustered.

"Why are you so red?" he continued, "Are you feeling okay?" he then placed his forehead next to Mari's forehead. He was trying to feel if she was sick or if she has a fever, little did he know that the method that he used to check for her temperature was the cause of her fake fever.

Mari's eyes lit up when their foreheads touched. She couldn't believe that she was that close to Jeremy, face to face. Her gaze then fell on Jeremy's lips. She wondered how it would feel if she would just close her eyes and go in a little closer to meet his lips.

"You're hot. Let's take a break for a minute." Jeremy said as he pulled away.

From a few meters away, Momo was seated on a couch sipping water. She saw what had transpired and there was this involuntary force within her that made her irked at what she saw. She clicked her tongue and read her lines again.

The group was seated on the long couches set up in the living room. A maid emerged from the kitchen wheeling in a cart with refreshments. There were bottles of soda, some pitchers of different juices, and a whole lot of pastries.

Jeremy grabbed a bottle of coke, Junjun took a glass and poured himself an orange juice. Momo and Mari took the same kind of sparkling water. And the others also got what they wanted to drink.

Jeremy opened up his bottle and drank from it. He was thirsty and he left just about a quarter of the bottle's volume. He then put it down and went on to read the remaining of the script.

"We are making good progress. We just need to practice this part here. Can you guys memorize the lines up to this part when we practice next?" he asked around and they just nodded in agreement.

"Hey, can you pass me that one?" Momo said as she pointed to the bottle of Jeremy. He was still reading so he just passed the bottle to her without any thought. Momo then drank from the bottle. Jeremy saw what she has done and became conscious all of a sudden.

"Did she just?? Was that an indirect kiss?" he thought to himself.

"Ayieeeeee... you guys just kissed." Junjun said teasingly.

"What? I just wanted a sip. Perv." Momo snapped at Jeremy.

"Why? I didn't say anything."

"K..k....kiss???" Mari shrieked.

"Haha we did not." Jeremy exclaimed.

"Ah-re... why did you sound so defeated? Did you want it to be a kiss?" Momo said, "Perv."

"I...it... " Jeremy couldn't even finish what he wanted to say when Momo called for everyone's attention. She sat on the floor carefully tucking her skirt properly. She then drank all the remaining liquid from the bottle and when it was empty she put it down sideways on the floor.

"Would you guys want to play a game while we are resting?" she asked.

"But we have to do more scenes..." Jeremy argued.

"You just said that we were making good progress. I think this is a good way to loosen up our tensed bodies here. Maybe we can act better after. What do you guys think?" she went turned her head to the others and she got the agreement she was seeking for.

"But..."

"A game?? What kind of game??!" Elucia asked with sparkles in her eyes.

"Hmm. Okay, I guess we can spare some time."

"That's the spirit! Now let's play spin the bottle."
