A Good-Eyed Sniper
For today, I am working from home and that means that I could focus a bit and catch up on my games. I picked up the phone and fired up Splinterlands. I just finished a daily quest last time so when I checked on the game it says that I have a new quest to complete.
And I was lucky to see that the quest is a favorite quest of mine, it's Sniping time. I have to win 5 battles using a monster with a Snipe ability in my lineup. This is a perfect quest for those who do not specialize in a single Splinter or team. And I also like this quest because I usually bring monsters with Snipe ability to battles. Snipe is a pretty useful ability, especially if the opposing monsters have monsters on their side with ranged-type attacks. Monsters with Snipe ability will seek those monsters first and hit them before hitting the closest one to them.
So without further ado, I get on it and tried to get a win with a Snipe monster. For this time around, all the wins I got were from using the Death Splinters team. And for the monster with a Snipe ability, I used the Death Elemental.
Here is the first battle that I won with the Death Elemental.
The match was set to a 19 mana limitation. It's a mid-mana game and it's perfect for the Death Splinters to thrive. And also, I was a bit lucky there because my opponent used an Earth Splinters lineup with Drake of Arnak as the summoner. Usually, Earth Splinters excel in using magic attacks, and my summoner, Thaddeus Brood has a debuff made especially for that.
And then I moved on to the next battle.
It was another mid-range mana battle without any added restriction or ruleset. It's really easier to win when you are starting from the bottom. Again, I used Death Splinters while the enemy used the direct opposite, Life Splinters. And time and time again, Death has proven to me that it trumps Life Splinters more often than not.
And on to the next one.
The mana was set to 23 with no added restriction or rule. This battle was even at first because we used the same Death Splinters lineup. As a matter of fact, I think the opponent has the advantage at first because he used a summoner with an armor buff which was a piece of bad news for my attackers. We even had the same idea to use the Carrion Shade as a decoy tank.
There are a couple of things that made me bag that victory. I have more attackers than the opponents, I had a better monster manning the backline which made it more difficult for him to penetrate my defense. Plus, I had a monster with the Snipe ability that took out another one of his attackers in the middle. Also, the HP debuff of my summoner made a huge difference.
And then...another one.
It was an identical battle ruleset from the last one so I made use of the same lineup. I'm pretty predictable, one might say, but why would you change a thing if it's working, right?
It was basically the same fight, the same battle, different opponent but the same result. I won that one using the same strategy. Although the opponent used a Water Splinters team, my lineup was able to withstand the whiplash and they were able to chomp off their lives to ensure victory for our side.
And for the last battle, we played with fire.
The mana requirement was a little high so I was able to be flexible in choosing which monsters to take to the battlefield and I focused the lineup with offense in mind. I was up against a Fire Splinter team and usually, a Fire team is faster and stronger than Death Splinters but I guess, this one's still trying to figure out the right combination and that settles it for me. The final victory needed to complete the quest has been secured.
And of course, it's the much-awaited time after completing the quest. Time to open up the reward. Since I'm in the lowest rank right now, I can only open 1 chest reward for a completed quest. Once you get to the higher tiers, you will be able to open even better and more chest rewards for completing quests. Can't wait to step onto the next level of the battles.
And here's what I got. An alchemy potion. I forgot where this one is used for but I already have a lot of this in-store, so I really have no use for another one. But oh well, 5 wins is 5 wins. And it didn't take me that long to complete the quest this time, it was a pretty good run because I only have to play 9 matches to win 5 games. Not bad. Not bad at all.

this sniper is one of my favorites for having a magic attack, but in most of my moves I prefer sneak cards
