My mother was making Maja Blanca earlier and I could smell the aroma of Latik all around the house. It is so fragrant. This is latik or coconut curds. It is made from coconut milk by simmering and occassionally mixing it until it turns into solid brown curds. My mother made Maja Blanca yesterday. Maja Blanca is a Filipino dessert commonly known as coconut pudding. It is a Filipino adaptation of the Spanish dish Manjar Blanco. CASSAVA CAKE Cassava Cake is made from grated cassava, milk and sugar. Another trivia, did you know that Tapioca, yes that round jelly in your taho or that chewy black pearl in your milktea are made from cassava starch. The Cassava rootcrop is originally from Portugal. This was our small business before but we stopped as making it is more expensive than selling it. If given the chance, I would continue this.

Have you tried eating aloe vera? I tried this Blueberry Creme Cheese with Aloe Vera from Dakasi Tea last night. It's just like jelly but I'm not sure if the taste is sour or was it just sour because of the blueberry. Blueberry does grow here in the Philippines but it is difficult to grow. Only place it could grow is in Baguio and they are not even that much suitable for commercial produce .

My cousin's girlfriend made this and gave them to my father and uncle for father's day. Idk. what that liquid is. So I tried it, turns out it's alcohol when I tasted it.
