Does it sound familiar to you?
The family that prays together, stays together.
We often hear it from somewhere and reflect if we have a family that also prays together. I believe, prayer is powerful and thus, we must pray not to ask something but to thank God (or any superior depending on what kind of religion we have) for all the things He has given. We might not be worthy of His blessings sometimes, but still, He gave us what we need unconditionally.
But what does it mean when we heard this: The family that prays together, stays together.
Does it mean we pray together in one place or praying even if we are away from each other? Was there really a place intended for praying? Does my prayer unheard if I did not pray at the proper place?
My family doesn't pray together in one place but I am certain we pray individually at a certain time of the day.
(Note: Everything that's written in here are just my opinion. I'm not against any religion or belief. I respect diversity of our belief and I do respect if your belief is different from mine. After all, we do have a great difference as an individual)
Why am I so serious here? π Just trying something new. I want to take a pause from writing about online dating and Tinder things. Haha! I am happy that I got comments and advice from there. I admit, my imagination is kinda naughty and my thinking is fluctuating sometimes. I can't think of just one idea to write on. As of now, I want to write other things. Lol. But I want to finish what I wrote above.
Alright. Let's go back to where I left.
My family is not the type of family who always go to church. In fact we just go there together when there are special occasions like Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and Holy week. But when mom and dad were not busy, we would go for sure.
I am open for any judgment. Some of you might say that we should make time or my dad or mom should allocate time for God even just for a day. Yes! You can say that. But do understand we have different situations and judging each other for not being into church always is not fair. Some might say are we against the religion? And some might also say our Faith in God fades.
And who gave us that judgement? Those who are always at church.
I'm not saying all of them but believe it or not, there are just people in our place who seem to be hypocrites. Sorry about the adjective. We just can't really deny that we have that kind of people in our place. I'm not mad at them, I'm just disappointed because they are always at church so they should have the wide understanding and compassion towards people.
My mom and dad taught us to thank God and pray everyday. We are not encourage to just pray if we need something. It must be everyday for everyday is a blessing. We might not be praying altogether but we sure stick together as one family.
I believe prayer should be accompanied with actions too.
What are the things that I am thankful with?
My life
It's my life. It's now or never. (Kidding!) Being born in this world and have this life is my biggest blessing from the Creator. Because if He did not gave me this life, I would not be able to see the beauty of His creations and experience love in any forms.
My family
Family is life too. Though my mom is a noisy rapper, she takes care of us everyday but yeah she's noisy again. And also my little brother, though he's so naughty and annoying, I still love that kid for I can ask him favor sometimes like getting my slippers, and sneak some money from dad. Hahaha! Just kidding! And my dad, I'm thankful about him too because he supports the family and do everything for us without complaining.
With that being said, I always pray that my family is always at safety. But I feel guilty if I only pray for my family's safety so I include everyone in the world.
I pray for this pandemic to be over.
Who doesn't want that? I miss the old days when everything are fine. The face to face classes, the family gatherings and not having the fear or going outside. I pray everything will get back to normal so I can go out with my motorbike again without a time limit. I want to be free again.
There are many things that I pray of and thankful for. Hindi nga lang halata. Hahaha!
Even if we pray individually or together, that is still prayer. What's important is we pray wholeheartedly.
(Oh yeah, I survived being serious in this article LOL)

I agree. Hehe.
