I'm flying and not because I want to. Greetings reader friends. Excuse my absence, but it was not voluntary. At first, the cause of this was and still is my laptop. My charger cable has been damaged and now I don't have a spare and I don't have a moment to buy one. In a second place, a pathology appeared in me. I mean vertigo. One morning without warning I tried to turn around and when I made this movement by rotating my head to its initial position the whole world had gone from me. I entered a kind of darkness where everything was spinning, after a few minutes the dizziness stabilized and came a terrible feeling of nausea and, later, vomiting. Believe me that this could only be understood by those who have gone through something similar. It's a bit like when I was young and I drank wine or a little more than necessary, in these cases by simply stopping drinking the world gradually stabilized again. Today this is not the case, I am always flying. The next day a colleague came to study all my problems. Thank god he didn't find anything wrong with my heart, eyes, nose or ears.
I did the laboratory tests and my blood did not show any data that would indicate the reason for my dizziness. So my doctor diagnosed me with mild paroxysmal vertigo. To explain it in a simple way, let me start by telling you that the balance of the body is found in our ear, specifically in the vestibule in some elements called otoliths. These vibrate with sound and self-correct in response, but there are cases where they loosen out of place and into another cavity. They are then reabsorbed there and our body produces new otoliths. It's easy to tell it so that you guys can understand it, but the feeling of being drunk and losing balance throughout the day is quite unpleasant. You know that I am a woman of faith, that is why I know that this too shall pass. I know that at any moment it will improve and I will be able to return to my practice, so that I can explore the cases of my patients. Then I will find a way to buy the charger for my laptop In the meantime I have borrowed this computer to send you my news. A thousand apologies for not being able to participate in your comments, I will only leave my presence in your place. Thank you all as always.

I hope you feel better soon. That is really unnerving. I think I have experienced that once before and it feels like the world is ending. Maybe you can buy a charger online?
I'm sorry you have to go through that, and like you said you are a woman of faith, keep your faith strong, and I'm sure it will pass over. God will heal you. Trust him
Get well soon Gertu.. I know the feeling of having vertigo..not that I experienced it. But I learned about it during my caregiving school time.
I wish an army of your white blood cells would occupy the base of all ailments, take them captive and make them work for your immunity. Get well soon our beloved and dear writer. Blessings to you all, may God take care of you!
I shouldn't be saying this, but welcome to the world of vertigo. It's been more than decade since I first experienced it. If I remember right, I've gone through maybe 4 bad attacks, similar to what you've described where getting up from bed feels like you're being pulled back down to one side. I never reached that point of feeling nauseous, or actually vomiting. I am just unable to move or get up because of that spinning sensation. In those attacks, they were mostly stress-related. It's been 2 or 3 years since I last experienced one and I am grateful. Please take care of yourself. I will be praying for you get better soonest!
Welcome back Mam. Was missing your articles. Hope you r doing fine. I too have this same issue especially when bending my head too much or ehen suddenly i turn around.
Please take good care of yourself sis. God will always protect you. Miss you.
so, in humans, the otoliths aren't as hard as in fishes?. That's new knowledge. Get well soon, and yes! This too shall pass!!
the otoliths are calcic stones but when they are out of their environment they become reabsorbed in the auditory system. Somehow the body does it and they re-produce. Although in some cases with a type of therapy they return to their place of origin.
Wow, thanks for the info, i'll see if I can read more on it
Aww..That kind of condition you're in is not a joke ..imagine having blackouts then later on vomitting . Better have a rest friend and take care..Praying for your better recovery..
