Greetings my dear reader friends of the great read.cash family. Today I bring you a religious reading, it’s not with the purpose of creating diatribes or seeking disputes. I’m very clear about what I want and what I’m learning with the help of the Lord.

It so happens that one day Father Francis was speaking in the pulpit and was telling the parishioners about a testimony.

A little boy, just 9 years old, had found his Catholic friends praying a prayer to the mother of Jesus, which he thought was very beautiful. He said it so many times until he learned it.

Then one day he told his mother “Mommy, Mommy, I have learned a beautiful prayer and I want to say it to you” The mother asked him to recite it and the boy said the Hail Mary.

The mother, who was a Protestant, told her son never again to say this prayer to her because it was a lie of the Catholic religion that worshipped a woman without any importance, that she was the same as any other woman and that the Catholics invented it. The mother told the boy, "Here, read the bible and study the word better and it will be much better than what you are doing."

The child was saddened but listened to his mother, then one day the boy found in the bible the annunciation of the Angel Gabriel to Mary, with the same prayer to the Virgin Mary, and he was amazed.

He said again to his mother "Mommy, I found in the bible the prayer that says full of grace, the Lord is with you, blessed are you among women why do you say that it’s superstitious?” The mother did not answer.

Then, as he continued reading over time he came across Elizabeth's salutation to Mary and the Magnificat where Mary points out that "from now on all generations will call me blessed." The boy decided to continue reading and learning and told his mother nothing more.

From unsplash

One morning the boy's mother was arguing with other members of the household and said that Mary was just a woman who had only begotten Jesus and that she was of no importance, to which the boy intervened and told everyone in his loud voice.

"Mary is not just any woman, she is full of grace and blessed, she is the mother of Jesus and therefore the mother of God and she is not just any person full of sin. She is the greatest dignity to which one can aspire, she is the foundation of the Christian religion."

The boy's mother was indignant at his words and rebuked him for fear that he would become a Catholic.

Over the years the boy continued to learn and study in the Catholic religion and once he goes to visit his older sister, she rejected him and told him that she would first pierce her son's chest with a dagger before she would accept the Catholic religion, adding that she despised him for being Catholic.

Over the years the sister had her son in the hospital with a death diagnosis and her brother visited her, he asked her for a favor and said.

"Sister do you want to save the life of your son, my nephew?"

His sister, a mother, tearfully answered yes, that she would do anything to save her son’s life.

Then he said, "Pray with me the Hail Mary and if your son is saved, promise me that you will study the doctrine of the Catholic Church".

His sister could only agree with tears, deciding to pray with her sibling.

Her son was miraculously saved and the woman complied, she studied the doctrine of Catholicism and eventually she and her entire family were converted.

Her brother, Father Francis, is today the one who as a priest of the church tells his own testimony of how his prostentant family accepted the Catholic Church by studying its doctrine.

I thought it was a nice story to tell, of course, I don’t want to offend anyone or to create disputes. Please, if you disagree with my post please  don’t create discord. It’s only my way of expressing my great love for Mary, the mother of my Lord Jesus Christ.

Thank you, I loved the story. I am thinking if I have read it before or heard it, but regardless, I will never tire of the story and believing how powerful the intercession of Mama Mary is. May you, and your son, be blessed abundantly this Christmas!

It's the testimony of a priest but I do not know from which country. But he was not Latino. May the angels say amen to your blessings. Same to you my beautiful friend.

Such an interesting and emotional story. I know the Catholic worship Mary but I think not directly her but the spirit of God in her. I wouldn't dispute anyone worshipping Mary inasmuch as they are also studying the Bible and learning from it. Thank you for sharing ma

Thank you my precious one because I know you are a very respectful woman. God bless you. Something for you to know about us Catholics is that we do not worship Mary, we only worship God our Lord, the only one who deserves worship. We respect and love Mary because she is the mother of our Lord Jesus Christ. We respect her as the woman who allowed the desire of the heavenly Father to be fulfilled in her womb. Thank you dear for stopping here.

Yes, I understand your religion too and I don't think anyone should believe you are worshipping Mary directly. Mary is a blessed one from God and she brought to life the son of God. She needs to be appreciated and also giving glory to God Almighty. You are welcome anytime ma

The Catholic religion has a great margin of acceptance of any other religion, they do not go hunting for people to join it. However, there are other religions that speak ill of the Catholic Church, you feel the mistreatment of these people towards Catholics. On one occasion a person told me that he was a Christian, I answered him that I was also a Christian, from which church? he asked, I answered him: from the Catholic Church, from that moment he did not speak to me again, I do not know why.

I laughed at the situation you experienced. What is happening is the strong criticism that exists about this church. And that makes people feel they have the power to judge.

Very true, many people have committed their faults including the parish priests, but what about the swindlers of the non-Catholic Churches? that is for another article. This person I think did not like that I said that I was also a Christian, it seems to me that they think that the only Christians are them.

Worse yet, they judge and believe they have the truth in their words.

There are many religions, all of which are totally different. In this case, a religion that worships the Virgin Mary, as well as this there are religions where they do not worship the Virgin Mary, as well as others that "do not worship a plaster cast".

Everyone has their own religion according to their point of view and what they have lived, but I think the most important thing is not to focus on the religion of others if it is different from one's own, but to respect their religion anyway.

I really see it wrong that the child's mother said something like that to him, but it is the mother's point of view, maybe she should have commented differently.

There is something that I see wrong with some religions, that if your child or another family member does not believe in your religion, you leave it aside, I think it is a little wrong, because many times we want them to accept our religion but we disrespect other people's thoughts.

I think that despite the different religions we have in the world, the most important thing is to respect each other, I can talk about my religion and listen to another person with a different religion and I will not have any problem, I will not say things that I would not like to be said to me.

I remember there was a problem in college because of the differences in religions. There was a festival coming up where we had to participate with different children, but the people in charge who are us as art students, not everyone wanted to participate, what was the problem? The differences in religion, I don't really remember what holiday was coming up, but it was a traditional holiday of the country, we had to comply with that. I remember there was one girl who said she was a Buddhist and even though she doesn't believe in Catholicism she would still do that presentation, because at the end of the day it is a traditional holiday of the country and it is a way for her to share her art with the children, that Buddhist girl is a dancer, so she had to do a traditional dance according to the holiday with the children. There was only one person who did not want to do this event because her religion forbade it, she wanted to do anything else, however she participated, this girl is an actress, but the performances she made had nothing to do with the festival, so the event was a little weird. The whole event was followed by that festivity, from the music, the dances, the singing, the paintings except the acting part, in the acting they did anything else that had nothing to do with it and it looked really strange.

Even though we all respected their religion and their choice not to participate because their religion did not allow it, it did not look really good that in the event that person would do anything else and try to talk about their religion and say that their religion was better than ours, it was really strange that part. That happened in front of many representatives, the person in charge of the acting started shouting that his religion was better and things like that ... It was unprofessional for a college student with years of experience working as an actor.

I think again and affirm that there is no one religion better than another, everyone has their own point of view, the best thing to do is to respect others and respect their beliefs, just as we like our beliefs to be respected.

Everyone has the right to make judgments but they do not follow the meaning of the word they preach.

I've Lways wanted to attend a Catholic Church but never had the opportunity, I sometimes feel like it's an entirely different experience which I'd like to be a part of.

There are many churches everywhere. You can attend any one of them. The most important thing is that you congregate in groups where they explain how to read the Word.

Congregate in the groups? That will be a tough one for me as I'm an extreme introvert that enjoys being alone.

Still considering though but will require a lot of time amd thoughts to adapt considering they're gonna be totally new faces which would definitely make me feel uncomfortable at first.

I'm a Protestant but I have to admit that Mother Mary is a mother who must be respected, because it was from her that the outpouring of the Holy Spirit allowed her to conceive and give birth to the Savior Jesus Christ.

This is so inspiring. I have always admired the virgin Mary ever since I was a kid even though I was not a catholic. For her to be chosen by God to be the mother of Christ amongst thousands of women shows that she was the best and still is.. No doubt she had a special place in God's kingdom.. Its a pleasure meeting you ma'am☺

It is ever true that Mary is full of grace and privilege that she had to birth Jesus but the underlying reality is the fact that hence that is true of marry, she shouldn't be worshipped or prayed cos that idolatry if it does happen for the scriptures says: do not worship any other god be it in water, underneath the earth, in the sea or even use any image in the worship of our dear God and father. Note pls: my argument is not for argument purpose but for a general knowledge and truths about the Christ and God's devotion thank you

Ignorance of our doctrine is what makes that kind of argument. Mary is the mother of our church and as such is venerated. Neither adored nor idolized she only has the position that her son left her when he died. Mother, behold your son. Thank you for your comment.
