Illnesses are one of the limiting factors in our daily activities. We may be eager to get ahead, to work, to do what we are usually willing to do in our daily life. But if we feel sick, our body asks us to change our behavior.
But why do we get sick? They can be physical illnesses but also mental ones and when I say mental I mean those caused by ourselves and not by mental disorders.
We can cure bodily diseases with the medicines prescribed by the doctor, but our body is also prepared to heal itself. Yes, it’s as you are reading. Our organism is genetically encoded to regenerate itself, when we are exhausted by the diseases we have to overcome it with rest and only by following certain conditions, we allow the body to heal itself.
But we also have the case of our mental illnesses, those that we cause ourselves with our bad thoughts, by our own attacks on the body.
We weaken our immune system when we overload it with all the negativity that is in our mind. Let me give you an example.
When we are upset about situations we can't handle, we are afraid to say what we feel and day by day we carry the weight in our organism to silence what we feel. We don't feel we have enough strength or power of conviction to make someone understand our position.
Thus we carry an unexpressed bad feeling and the body is negatively charged with heavy negative energies that are not released.
Another reason for illness is when we are undervalued or disrespected. At home, at work or by our friends, we are made to feel that we are worthless. Daily we hear how we are put down by hurtful words that go straight to our brain and eventually our own brain tells us to fall because we have to keep our friend, our job or our family.
On the other hand, when we can't realize our dream, sometimes we feel unable to achieve our goals. We cannot see beyond the obstacles, we feel disadvantaged and miss opportunities because we are worried about something that is not happening. Our fears lead us to have a blind eye, to think that we will never make it. By closing our minds to dreams we make ourselves sick.
We get sick when we do not forgive. I have written about this many times. When there is no forgiveness for others there is no forgiveness for ourselves either. When we forgive ourselves, the things we say or do, we see life differently. We learn to forgive the one who offended us and we let go of that burden we carry inside in our mind and therefore in our body.
Because we say that hate is in the heart, but it's really in our mind, it goes from one side of our brain to the other, from the side of memory to the side of action. We slap, we punch, we say inappropriate words just because of the memory of what offended us.
As a suggestion and from my own practice I can tell you to start forgiving yourself. To think in your favor, to tell yourself that what you carry in your mind and in your memory is past and that today is the gift you are given. Turn the page, what happened can no longer be taken back because it is something already lived but you can release it by forgiving, not only by forgiving the other but yourself first. You will see how the memory will become more fleeting.
If we think in favor of our health, we should not listen to those who ask us not to live in harmony with life, that we remember the bad times and the bad lives, that we do not let go of the burdens we carry. Listening to negative people makes us sick, do not fill your life with the burdens of others. Everyone should carry their own tragedies.
Trying to carry the bad experiences of others in our lives is depressing, when we do not give ourselves time to recharge our energies, when we only listen to people who give us their complaints day after day, we get sick.
When we don't take the time to give ourselves love, to rest, to enjoy a picture in nature, some coffee, a friend, a family member, a child or a spouse, we are wearing ourselves out. We are slowly dying. We grow old, our hair grays prematurely, wrinkles appear on our faces, and our bodies slowly become hunched over, because life gets heavier and heavier and we don't realize it.
All these, my dear friends, are the diseases of the mind. All this does not allow the organism to rest, it does not oxygenate. It does not allow us to live the small moments of happiness that life brings us and as a result we can suffer from high blood pressure, diabetes, neuropathies, migraines, and so on...
Tumors, decalcifications, toxicities in the organism can come and slowly destroy us.
Our life was spent fighting an invisible enemy... we ourselves are our worst enemies. Because we do not realize in time that all this negativity destroys us. Only when we are at death's door and we look back, we will see that we spent our whole life fighting against our own demons.
And what for? It’s at that moment that we realize that time has passed and now we are finished. No time to make amends and no time to live. We lost time and we lost life.
In conclusion, live life in the best way. Fight for your ideals and allow yourself to laugh in the fray. Give your hand to the fallen if he asks you to rescue him. Don't fight the struggles of others because he will have time to live his own experiences. Be happy as you move forward, don't let them minimize you because you are worth as much as they are.
You will pass the test of illness because you do not carry toxicities with you. Thank God every day for the little or the much and let him be the one to direct your life towards your longevity.
This is just a small summary with suggestions so you don't let yourself get sick with your own thoughts.

That's right, we cannot live stuck to frustrations and fears. Nor let ourselves be influenced by people who do not want to overcome their traumas. The battle is in the mind. We must live in peace and let everything flow.
