Hello again my dear fellow readers. Some of you have asked to come on this trip with my friend Jane, my son and me. By the way! Let me tell you that I had a little mistake in the previous post… My dear Jane is in Hong Kong and not in Japan as I pointed out in last time... From time to time my circuits get crossed and I make these kinds of mistakes. All I can ask is that you please forgive me for this one and the ones to come.
But now I must stop for a while. Because it turns out that before continuing the trip we must first go through the airport to pick up friends who left me their requests to come with us to our virtual tour.
We first have to go through changing the car, now I must rent a vehicle with more seats so that all of my friends can fit in.
My friend @ARTicLEE wants to fulfill his desires to eat lots and lots of fish and seafood as well as stroll along our beaches.
There is also my friend Lukelyca who got excited and just told “me here we go”. @zolabundance2 also assured me that she wanted to make the trip with us. My dear @Ruffa has told me she wants to see my house so we will take her with us in the car to tour my world.
She is very witty, having confidence with all of us in the car I hope she will come up with more of her funny crazy stories to tell. And I also included @ThisisGrace21 because she told me I only invited Jane but that's not the case.
At the beginning I wanted to thank jane because she invited me on her trip with the Club1BCH family but at the end of my post I asked who wanted to come and here I am complying. Now we there are more of us here for this trip around my country!
Almost last came my friend and fellow countrywoman @CoquiCoin who decided to join us from Caracas. She is another Venezuelan and is also fluent in English. We will have more to communicate.
I know that my sister @rodriguezpct would also have liked to make this trip but due to a bad internet connection she hasn't heard about my virtual trip. When she finds out we will be far away from her reach. She is in the state of Barinas where we will pass through on our trip.
Thank you all for coming here to know the wonders of my beautiful country.
After picking you all up at the airport in Barcelona we continue on our way…
The next day we said goodbye to Barcelona and headed towards our towns in the eastern plains.
But you’ll see only the road trip as we have to continue further to the state of Bolivar. It’s here that you will see the immense Orinoco, our beautiful mighty river. Here in Bolivar we must leave the car in a shelter and take a small plane that will take us to the Canaima National Park and from there, through small canoes that navigate the river and carried by indigenous people of the area, the Pemones, we’ll cross the jungle to see the impressive Angel Falls.
It’s the highest waterfall from the Tepuy in these lands, the water that flows down it has a height of more than 900 meters. It’s considered a world heritage site and the highest waterfall in the world. Its view is impressive!
Afterwards we can continue to walk a little more to see the wildlife and native flora and fauna and then we return to look for the car and return from the trip.
After a rest we continue our visits to the villages. We will pass again by the coast road and we will see the seas of Píritu, Clarines and up to Boca De Uchire where we will stop to eat prawns in its best presentation, freshly extracted from our Unare Lagoon, located 10 minutes away from our reach.
We continue our trip and we will reach the road that leads along the Guatopo National Park, from here we continue until we reach the town of Coro in the Falcon state, from here we’ll see the dunes of Coro. They are famous for their lumps of sand, large mountains of sand accumulated by nature, the closest thing to the structure of a desert.
We’ll get to see them in passing and then continue on our way to the city of Maracaibo to see the Lightning of Catatumbo. It’s one of the wonders of the world. At night you can see how the lightning continually streaks the sky and falls towards the lake with a resurgence and a roar never seen anywhere in the world. Scientists are still coming up with their various theories as to why the lightning is eternal, it’s simply impressive to watch.
Temperatures in this city range from 30°c to 34°c. The heat is oppressive.
After passing the Bridge of Maracaibo, considered the longest in the world, we continue our way towards the Andean mountain range until we reached the city of Merida. The temperature in the city oscillates between 12°c and 20°c. There you can appreciate the snow-capped peaks, where the snow is eternal. At dawn the peaks are covered with snow and you can see them from many parts of the city. In the afternoons thick fog falls so walking and driving is done very carefully.
Let's climb the three peaks by stopping at the highest cable car in the world, the cable car of the city of Merida. We will reach the first peak and then we will continue climbing until we reach the last one, there are five of them, more than 4800 meters above sea level. Of course! The specialists of the subject here can give you the recommendations, you must go up with the rigorous attire to avoid the consequences of being subjected to temperatures as low as less than 12 °c.
We can stay in the cabins but the cold is our worst ally so let's make sure we are well wrapped up. There are too many tourist parks to distract the tourist, this is a student city. From pole to pole it’s full of faculties of different specialties.
We continue our trip on the opposite side of where we entered, bordering the mountain range, we continue in the car climbing the mountains of the mountain range and seeing the beauty of its flora, and the crops on the slopes of the mountain, product of these people's work in these lands with their faces red, burned by the Andean sun.
We will arrive in Barinitas and we’ll begin to feel the increase in temperature. We move on to the state of Barinas, land of the plains. We can stay to eat a delicious meat on a stick, which is the specialty of this land. Where planting and cattle breeding is their livelihood.
We’ll follow the road until we reach the cities of central Venezuela. And there is plenty to choose from, many places to visit. Beaches, coasts, plains, mountains, rivers, and let's stop counting. You are the ones who will tell me which places you prefer to continue the tour.
But this will be for when you decide to come for a real visit to my country. It’s a dream country with all the climates you can imagine. With each of the characteristics that you can find in every country you visit, here you can find it in every state.
I hope, my dear friends, that you liked the tour. It only remains to see you off at the international airport in Barcelona for your return. Thank you for joining me in this virtual journey.
But! I want you to know that I cut things too short to tell you more about my country’s beauty later on…
