We have so much in our everyday life, and at times it become overwhelming and being exhausted to tackle. Finding it hard for us to cope in every aspects we have, but we can't quit. We must go on life still goes on. In a deeper thoughts we can think what awaits in the future is it good for us or a bad impression is how we look at it. But in the grey scale of life we need to step outside in the queue and venture from the world of the impossible, like the fantasies in our mind the little imaginations we have, that can make us feel lighter and more happier. So we indulge ourselves being the viewers in the creations of film industry by binge watching from Korean drama. Maybe its our a little escape from the difficult times we are facing everyday.

That was my First Korean Drama that I've watched, and it was released in the year of 2000. It was still vivid when my husband and I fond of watching that drama its really a drama because the plot is the lead girl actress has Leukemia fall in love with his non biological brother, it turned out they were separated by fate and finally saw each other but lead girl Yun is in her worst journey from her illness.

Origin Of Korean Drama

Korean drama begin in May 1956 with the film of Death Row Prisoner, directed by Choi Chang Bong. The genre rose in popularity through the 1960's and 70's with the growth of Korean broadcasting companies, and began showing in color television in 1981.

My Second Korean Drama

Goblin: The Lonely and Great God, it was released 2016, but I've watched it late because I have no interest at first. It was already televised in the Philippine local station but I haven't saw it. It was 2018 that I browsed from You Tube then it came into my mind what about to watch Goblin. And again I was not interested because the scenes was chaotic Gong Yoo as Kim Shin is in the battlefield fighting, but I managed to continue watching until it caught my attention. When Kim Go Eun as Ji Eun-tak was all home alone crying because her mother died.

There are scenes that caught my attention too, the conversation of the shaman to the mother of Eun-tak, the shaman disguise herself who sells girls accessories in the bridge where usually mother of Eun-tak talked with more often. This what the Shaman talk to her "At a moment of life and death, make a wish with powerful desire, who knows, A soft-hearted God who hears it might grant you that wish".

And the mother of Eun-tak used that advised from the shaman, when she was hit and run by a car begging from her heart to hear her prayers whoever heard her must help because she is pregnant from that time to Euntak. And a soft-hearted God heard her prayers, then came Kim Shin save her.

In our life, we are dreaming and imagining things are impossible, thinking the wildest and bravest imagination we have. Hoping someone could solve our personal problems, family problems in a snap of our finger but its not how it works.

We are in the real world where ego sometimes make us weak where family and friends is our strength.

Factors Why I Love Korean Drama

  • A hero appearing act from one of the lead role, I noticed that when the protagonist is always being in danger, all of a sudden a hero will appear in front of you and fight the one whos trying to kill you.

  • A hand will grab your hand away from the crowd where everyone is pointing fingers in you, sample a teenage Korean drama the settings in the classroom, suddenly a hand from the love interest of a lead role will appear out of nowhere.

  • Slow-paced, where Korean drama known for that, and where viewers given a time to internalized the situations of a certain scenes.

  • Good manners are still practiced from these dramas, like being polite in front of the elders, how they interact with the teachers and other authorities involve from the drama,

  • The restaurants and coffee shop they took their dinners and small talks.

  • Korean cuisine, most people who are fond watching Korean drama makes them crave too from the Samgyeopsal they introduced in the tv series. And how it become popular from the Philippines too.

  • Their grandeur homes and mansions they lived, all the hi-tech appliances they have. Their couches and bedrooms are rarely extravagant.

  • Education, hard-work, dedication is how they emphasized to succeed in life, and well a great impact to the students that they may strive to reach their goals in life.

  • Love stories from Korean drama, that many people like to watch they have different approach while making the plot.

  • Decency its rare to see couple kissing in Korean drama, they have laws maybe from their film industry to avoid those scenes. Though they don't have that they can still produced a quality film or tv series.

  • Fantasy tv series and movies and ghost stories that they made a cinematic view to the audience. And while watching make you believe that you are in the locations or settings they provide.

  • Unexpected twists and turns of the tv series, it can help us realized that life has many hopes for the hopeless. As long we live in this world.

  • Glass-skin from their faces and a very white clear skin they have, that is why skin products nowadays are very in demand, to achieve the glass-skin from Koreans.

In My Life....

That was 2018 I watched Goblin a Korean drama, only watched from You Tube. From that time, its my first time to be alone at house because my husband work was a night shift being a customer service representative or csr in BPO. The time I started the Goblin series I was hooked then. I forgot that I'm alone at night because it occupied my mind with this Korean drama. I'm very frightened of being alone at home specially at night but with these drama that I watched more often. It helps my attention to divert by not scared of being alone, let me face fears easily.

Magaganda yong Korean k-dramas nahilig ako dyan while in universities. Goblin katatapos lang din sa tv. Funny but true to life stories, although hindi ganoon kabukas yong iba sa spiritual realm. Stairway to heaven, malungkot kaya Hindi ko masyadong pinanood. I might go back and check on that again 🤭.
