Lake Trboje, for some also Lake Mavško, Žerjavsko or Kranjsko and Žagar's tear for romantic souls. It was created by damming the Sava River during the construction of the Mavčiče hydroelectric power plant. It is up to 17 meters deep, and with an area of one kilometer it ranks among the 10 largest lakes in Slovenia.

Healing energy points have been discovered along the lake. You will recharge your batteries at 4 points, which also have boards with information on what kind of treatment each point is intended for and how long you should stay there. The first energy point represents unconditional love, the second focused intention, the third sensitivity, and the fourth strength.

You will not be able to walk around the lake, and you will take care of a healthy mind in a healthy body on the soup. Lake Trboje is a real paradise for supper lovers for the whole family. The calm surface is also suitable for beginners, but if you get carried away from the board, you will be pleasantly refreshed in the water.

Take a nap or paddle in the boat to the almost kilometer-long gorge of Zarica, which suggests that the Sava was quite relentless to the banks here before the dam. The water has partially submerged the gorge, but the overhanging walls are still over 20 meters high. Once gravel pits, logs and rapids, today they are a lake, home to many waterfowl, among which a special feature is the rare duck, the great sawfly, which has created the only known nesting place in Slovenia. Some waterfowl nest here all year round, some come to the lake for winter holidays, and many are only on the lake for a short visit.

Fishing enthusiasts will also come here at their own expense, of course with a fishing permit, which you buy in fishing log cabins or a boathouse.

When you visit the lake, stop at the popular Trboje Boathouse, which will pamper you with sweet treats, the famous fresh strawberries and views of the lake. Here you can rent a soup or have a picnic on the lawn on a blanket.

I have heard about this lake before, but I did not know all those things about this lake. There are many amazing places on Balkan, that unfortunately are not popular enough. That has to change!

A few years ago I lived near lake Trboje.Sometimes we went on walk there and on coffee in Kavarna Čolnarnica. In Kavarna Čolnarna Trboje, due to the idyllic and peaceful environment, you can relax your eyes and spirit from everyday tasks and fast pace. Kavarna Čolnarna Trboje has been known since 2004 for delicious homemade cakes, pastries and various desserts made from fresh strawberries, which are available from April to October. On cold winter days, you can warm up in the café with a rich selection of hot fruits and hot chocolates, and in the summer, refresh yourself with a cold drink on the shores of Lake Trboje. Nice written article dear.

Some of the most famous tourist destinations in Europe are located on the Balkan Peninsula. The whole region offers a rich history, local food, adventures and some of the most beautiful natural environments in the world. With about 15 countries that are partially or completely on the Balkan Peninsula, every visitor can choose where to go and will certainly not go wrong. We often skip Slovenia on our travel lists, which is wrong because even though the small one has a lot to offer - picturesque and charming towns, lush valleys and forests, castles on cliffs, alpine villages, emerald lakes are just some of the beauties that our neighboring country has to offer. . Thank you for sharing this beautiful and romantic lake like from a fairy tale.
