How you are an enemy to yourself
We have the propensity to be a foe to our self progress if we don't take the rightful step towards our development. Sometimes failure is the only way to success and one must understand that failure is not the opposite of success. It is the necessary pre-requisite for success.
Development is a continuous process and that is why one should never consider him/her self done with the process. The world is always changing and this development is contributed by us as individuals. On a daily basis, we are bombarded with steps to take to help our progression, some great and some not so great. Like it was said earlier, we can be our own foe if we fail to take the rightful step towards our development.
What We Can Learn From Self Enemy
Fear and procrastination are some of the greatest foes we can have to our self advancement. Think about it, we have so much potential but often forget to actualize it because of these two things. Fear is an enemy that can hold us back from achieving our potential while procrastination is the only thing that separates us from our success.
Fear is a negative emotion that can be triggered by decisions we make in our daily lives and how we choose to react to the decisions that are presented to us. In most cases, fear is something we create when we overthink the negative outcomes of certain actions and how this will affect our lives. The truth of the matter, most of the time, overthinking has no merit and the outcome of the event itself may not be as bad as we think.
When it comes to making good decisions within your business, it is key to understand that fear can be a good thing if used appropriately. We have all heard the phrase "rejection is a blessing in disguise" as a way of saying that rejection is not as bad as you may think, but this doesn't do justice to the real value of fear.
Fearing overthinking can be a positive thing because it helps us look at situations more objectively and many times will change our perspective on the outcome. When you start to find yourself feeling anxious about an upcoming decision, take a step back and consider how this decision will affect your life. Think about how your past experiences can affect the decision making process and help you make better decisions in the future. Before making a decision, do not rush into it without considering how your decision will positively or negatively affect the outcome.
From my experience...
I know from my own experience, I've had plenty of situations where I've put off what I wanted to do or put myself down so much because I wasn't good enough or successful enough.
For a long time, I would find it difficult to get my foot in the door towards achieving my dreams. I used fear and procrastination as excuses not to move forward. I am human and this is normal. My belief in myself was once shaken so much that it caused me to lose focus on my goals; therefore, leading me to live in mediocrity. When I did take actions towards accomplishing my dream, I often found myself putting things off again. "I don't have the money to do this project right now" and "I'll start tomorrow".
In fact, these are the things that we often want to write about but don't because they lead us to the feeling of not being good enough. The truth is, there is a lot of just how to get over this feeling and you can too. If you're looking for ways on how to overcome fear and procrastination as your greatest self enemies and get real results this article is for you.

I am an enemy to myself in the sense that I allow fear to overpower my confidence which makes my progress as a person very slow. I am very much less confident with everything that I do not step out of my shell and downgrade myself. It has been living rent-free in my system that I do not know how to befriend this enemy.
