August 30, 2021
Time flies so fast. Ber months is already coming. The breeze is cold again. It's time to take out our thick clothes that has been hidden for a long time. But before this month of August ends, I want to share my other not so scary story. This article has been in my draft for a couple of weeks. I think it's time for me to finish this.
This black man kept on haunting me in my dreams since I was a teenager. It started when I was fourteen years old.

The First Dream
I was walking in the woods. The place was not familiar for me. It was my first time being on that kind of place. I continued walking until I reached in a very huge tree. Then, I saw a tall black man. He was just stared at me. I asked him where I was located. But he didn't say a word. He remained standing and stared at me. I barely see his face for the reason that he was covered by the shadow of the huge tree. I asked again but for the second time he remained silent. I tried to look around the place. Everything was so unusual. From the flowers to grasses, they are colored in black. When I was about to leave the place, there was a black smoke appeared. I hardly breathe because the smoke slowly suffocated me. I was horrified but then I still managed to pray. I was at the middle of praying when I woke up and catching my breath.
The Second Dream
The second dream happened when I was 18 years old. It was the same black man. At this point in time, the location was different. I was in a garden. But it was not the same garden that we used to see that filled with beautiful flowers and plants. The flowers and plants that I saw was all black. The roses, daisies and other flowers were all black. What kind of garden was that? Then there was a bench at the end of the isle. I saw the black man sitting correctly while his eyes were intently staring at me. I had chills all over my body when I saw him. I tried to run away from him but it seemed like my feet was glued in the ground. I closed my eyes and whispered my prayers. Then I was glad that I woke up from that dream.
The Third Dream
The next dream happened when I was working as housemaid at Manila. For the third time, he visited me in my dream. Same in the second dream, I was at a garden but in different place. I saw him again. That moment of time, he smiled at me and stretched his hand. He was like he wanted me to go with him. I tried to look clearly his face but it was vaguely covered with a little smoke around him and I was a bit farther from where he stood. I shook my head as a sign that I refused his offer. Then I turned back and ran away. Good thing my friend, who was also working like me, woke me up. I thanked her for she saved me from that horrible dream.
The Fourth Dream
I was already college at that time. It was Friday afternoon when I decided to take a nap. I had no scheduled class at that moment. I was alone in the room for the reason that my roomates had classes. I fell asleep immediately since I was tired. Then, he visited me again, the black man. But that time he was aggressive. The setting of my dream was still in my room. He pinned me down in my bed and was trying to kiss me. I shouted for help but no one heard me. I fought him back and tried to escape from him. I was slowly losing hope but I remembered to pray. Prayer was the only weapon that I have to get away from him. I woke up full of sweat and catching my breath. I always thanked God for helping me at all times.
The Fifth Dream
This dream happened last year. My baby was two months at that time. In my dream, I was walking in a not so very steep hill. I was walking alone. Then, at the top of the hill, I saw a huge house. A very beautiful and full of elegance kind of place. I saw floating lights that made the house looked like magical. I went near the house to check if there were people inside. But when my foot touched the first step of the stairs, I saw a tall black man who opened the door. I froze when I saw him. I was already terrified of him. I ran back down the hills. I hardly breathe in my dream. Then I woke up of my child's cry. When I looked at my baby, I was horrified again because she was not in her bed. She fell. I hurriedly picked her up and checked her. My partner woke up and his mother too. I was so confused of what happened because my baby was only two months old and she cannot move that much. Also I put pillows around her inside and outside her mosquito net to make sure of her safety. Until now, I was still puzzled of that incident.

CLOSING NOTE
At this point of time, the black man did not haunt me in my dream. I pray always that he will stop haunting me because he gave me trouble in sleeping. I didn't know what that means. I shared it to my partner and he said, maybe that man liked me. Whoever or whatever he was, I had no plan to be part of his world. I did not share this to my parents because I didn't want to bother them. Now, I hope and pray that he will forever stop invading my dreams.
While typing this, I realized that the only weapon that I had was only prayer. Prayer indeed is so powerful. It can help us not just in times in need. So, don't forget to pray always. Whatever your reason is continue to pray because God will always listens.
There you have it guys. It's time for me to rest. Good night to those who's about to sleep and good morning to those who just woke up. Thank you everyone for reading. You may start your week full of blessings and good health. Be safe at all times.
