What kind of employees are we?

Before I became a stay at home mom I worked at a BPO company in Ayala for four years. That's the last company I have worked with and in the span of four years I have observed the type of employees that are working in our department.

I thought of this topic because of Mommy @Khing14 . Mommy , I view your profile and read your article after our exchange of comments regarding with the breastfeeding thingy and I read your article which is Types of employee.

I am working in the company where we have three shifts , the morning , the middle shift and the graveyard but I will only share the employees of morning shift.

A quick preview to our department.

To be honest , we were like a High School student there. I mean mostly my officemate were newly graduate and after gaining some experience they will resigned. It's easy to be qualified on our company. I remember when I had a conversation with my officemate saying that she did the interview in our native language and I told her really? Thinking that our company is a BPO company and yet the HR allowed her to speak in Filipino.

So yeah , our supervisor and team leaders were kind as long as you do your job well. We have a cameras in the production and it's your diskarte nalang to avoid those camera if you will going to talk to your officemate while working. Yes , we are not allowed to have some conversation because we were in the production and we need to reached our quota but because we were pasaway we were like BDO. We find ways. Yays! We were not also. Allowed to smile because if the operations manager saw your smiling they will call you and ask you why your smiling. So yeah , you need to be always serious if the camera is in you.

The newbie.

As a newbie , they are not familiar with the system of the company and they always followed the rules. They are very polite and greet every person to gains friends. They are excited with the job and looking forward to learn it and be part of the team. They are the one who looks so innocent and thinking twice to do illegal acts in the office but after a couple of months they are like us already.

The veterans.

They are the one who we called pioneers because they staying in the company for a long period of time like 10 to 15 years. One time I asked one of the veteran in our department why she didn't resigned and told me that she's okay with the company even if she earned minimum wage because she's not young and if she will going to apply again she will having a hard time because of age limit. The veteran also did not required to have a quota because our supervisor consider that they are not to fast in term of encoding and auditing.

The late buddies.

They are the employees who always run on the hallway until the elevator because they are always late. Some of them are living in Laguna or Quezon City that why they are late because of heavy traffic. Because of thier consecutive late they always recieved a memo in the HR and got suspended because of it.

The food is life.

This kind of employees are the one who has always food in their locker and every break time they get it and eat in the pantry. Because they have lot of foods there are also some buraot who will asked for some foods. Sometimes they will put the food in the tumbler and enter the production area. Food is not allowed inside but because food is life they do that.

The team puyat.

They are the one who always sleep in production area and to be honest I admired them because I can't do that. They are so good at pretending that they are working. They are asleep but thier hands are in the keyboard and then they put the hood in thier jacket so that it's not noticeable that they are sleeping. I remember my friend officemate , our shift is 6:00 AM. So we entered the room by 5:55 AM and then after a couple of minutes I saw her sleeping already. Sometimes its already second shift and she was still sleeping. We pranked her and we didn't woke her up and then the middle shift enter the production and she was so shocked we she saw that the shift was already middle shift.

The chikadora.

We are not allowed to talk to in the production but we find ways to do it. What we did was we created an excell shit and share it and then create a password so that our circle of friends are the only one who will open the spreadsheet.

The hardworkers.

They are the ones who do thier job property and even render overtime without pay. They are the one who are running for promotion and love by the management.

And because they are so good kuno they always noticed us when we did bad in the office. They are the kill joy ones.
