It was a quiet Sunday despite the work shift, lots of customers but nothing exceptional.
I always get a lot of compliments on my kindness and helpfulness, sometimes I'm amazed at how I manage to keep a smile on my face even with the most absurd people!
Mah!
Today one of our managers started timing us during the service: how long it took us to take an order, to clear a table, to seat people. I don't like it, it makes me nervous, but I can't say anything, it's the bosses' new directives and there's nothing else to do but accept it...

A jump in the past
I've been taking a long break from writing, perhaps it would be more accurate to say that I haven't had any inspiration in quite some time.
I need to be inspired or in the right mood to line up ideas, nothing good comes to me if I'm not in the right frame of mind, I'd rather not even try.
I've written a lot in the past, many thoughts have become poems, free verses that I'm very fond of and that I often reread in my personal blog.

I've been taking a break from social these past few days, I've been really tired lately.
I've been working now since June 5/6 days out of 7 with only one rest and no vacation options since they have been temporarily blocked.
There are many passengers at the airport, not like before the pandemic, but there are and the restaurants are full.
Last night an unpleasant event happened with two drunk customers who created problems, I can only tell you that a fight almost broke out!
Something unbelievable. We should have called the police instead of letting them go, they deserved to have someone reminding them about good manners again ...
I finally have 2 days off, I have so many things to do at home that it would take 100 to do them all!
Patience... What I do will be enough.

Sometimes I feel like I live walking a tightrope!
Always on the edge, with a thousand things to do and chronic fatigue behind me.
Today we are also without electricity due to work on the plant, the company that manages it had warned us with a sign placed on our gate.
The power was interrupted at 5 am this morning and at 8.50 am it still hasn't been restored.
I decided to stay in bed because it's as gray as pitch outside and I don't feel like doing anything else.
November is over too, only a few days left!
Christmas is just around the corner!
And also this year I'll have to work during the holidays....
... Better not to think about it!

It's 10.54 here in Rome and I overslept cos I was really tired yesterday, my week has been really hard! So I have had really no time for anything else...
But today it's a clear day and when the sun is up in the sky smiling to the world all my tiredness goes away!

They say it will open next year, April at most.

A new week has started and I'm over working.
Usually October and November are 2 'dead' months with few passengers, a sort of pause between Summer vacations and Xmast Holidays. Not this year tho.
It is good we are trying to go back to normal after these 2 years of covid, I think we all need it!

The routine starts here, in this parking lot called PR3 (Parking #3).
It's another working day my friends, the weather is grey as all Winters require!
The trees are no more crowded by green parrots (I wonder where they are gone btw), but there are a lot of crows and other birds.
I haven't realized I arrived so early so I have the time for making some Noise!
Yesterday night we had a storm but nothing so dramatic and the power didn't go off luckily!
I was ready anyway with torch, power banks, emergency light and candles !

Listening to Dio 'Holy diver' and cooking for dinner my 'pasta and potatoes' a classic soup non soup, mine has a twist of fresh cherry tomatoes!
This dish is a traditional recipe from Campania but there is a version in every other Italian region as long as potatoes are a poor ingredient that all families used to have on daily basis in their home.
I like the poor cooking, it's the best, you can make great meals just using few ingredients!
I've bought a bottle of merlot and it's perfect!

These past 2 weeks were kinda 'hell', I had the flu and then went back to work and worked a lot!
People travel again and it seems still Summer cos we have a lot of passengers at the airport even in October! The 2 years stop due to covid seem far, you remember of it because of the masks!
In Italy it is mandatory to wear the mask and keep social distance!

It's time to go to work again!
I'm over working lately and find really hard to catch up things on Noise!
This week has been hectic and particularly messy, finding the time to relaxed had been a challenge lol
I just realize it's weekend cos I don't have to get my son to school!
Cats look at me go back and forth, who knows what they think maybe 'hooman you are a weird person, just stop for a while!'
... I want to reborn cat, in my house, with me as hooman!

Anyway, that's how it is and I don't think I'm the only one.
If I went back maybe I would change some of the choices I made or maybe I would like to have the kind of awareness I have now, it would definitely help me behave differently.
I'm speaking in absurdity of course, so I'm content with whatever I've achieved over time!

I woke up upside down today with a slight headache.
Billo kept me company all night, then my alarm went off and he went back to his chair.
Today it's sunny but still chilly, I have a heavy shift ahead of me today so I hope I don't come home destroyed from work!
Yesterday two American ladies who ate in the restaurant gave me a 20€ tip thanking me for how I treated them.
I felt proud and it cheered me up.
My son yesterday took this pomegranate... he knows how I love them!
Can't wait to eat it!

It's the day.
I'm going back to work after a week stop due to flu, I'm good actually but not so happy to go to work.
I'll tell you why.
Before covid spreading I used to work in a Japanese restaurant at the International Airport of Rome, then all flights were cancelled as you know and Government decided for the very first long lockdown.
I didn't work for months.
When we came back last year during Summer I had to work in 2 other different restaurants always conducted by my company, a steakhouse and a pizzeria.
I'm working at the pizzeria mostly but I don't like it, I can't do anything than just go and do my job.
It's depressing and I miss my staff, who are my friends...
Today I feel a bit blue, consumed and eaten like these leaves.
And it's raining...

I've always liked song lyrics.
Trying to understand the lyrics was my first approach to English, I remember as a child I loved to put on headphones and try to understand the words by listening 10, 100, 1000 times.
Of course I couldn't do it but it wasn't a problem.
When I was a kid it was absolutely difficult to find the written lyrics unless they were inside the covers of the vinyl, I had to wait a long time, then came the internet and now everything is just a click away, even the songs in Kurdish language.
However, there is one specific phrase that has been with me for years and that I find very meaningful

It's a weird Monday.
In the buildings around mine there are some renewing so the men at work are making lots of unusual noise.
My cats hate unusual noise especially the sudden ones, they get scared and run hide wherever they find a good spot!
They are used to the calm of the house and easily scared!
The weather is not so good, a shy sun tries to pop up from the grey clouds, but it's not rainy which is a good thing for a 'meteopath' like me!

It's late to cook for lunch (1.40 pm) but I wasn't hungry yet.
I have some fresh tagliolini pasta in the fridge ready to be stirred with cherry tomato sauce!
So I have cut them and let them go with garlic, peperoncino (red peppers from my terrace), basil (from my terrace too) and a pinch of salt!
I can tell you the smell is absolutely awesome!
