Hello noisemates! Spilling out some, random thoughts here... I haven't visited here for quite a while. It's the last month of the year already. People around are excited but at the same time anxious. Myself included. Bright lights up...The air is festive... able to finally be freed from the pandemic.. hello reunions, parties and meet-ups! Yet, with the ongoing war, inflation and all, budget is tight. Still, optimistic about the coming year. Are you?

Hello noise mates! It's been a while since we went to the beach. But because we wanted to breath in some fresh air, we finally decided to. Out of the blue, just like that. The long-planned Beach trip finally happened. Here we are waiting for the sun to set. How was your weekend?
It's the 23rd and it's our 13th wedding anniversary! Yey! Time flies, really. It felt like the wedding happened yesterday. We were supposed to have dinner with the family last night but we decided to postpone it because my little one got cough and colds plus it was raining hard. I hope she would feel better later when she wakes up. Good morning everyone!
What's up noisemates! It's been ages since my last post. Yes, I've been busy or maybe I was just plain lazy to make some noise. But from time to time, I still do read other "noises" and give out tips just the same. Anyway, here I am now and just wanted to share this picture. I do not know about you but for me, looking at the horizon, this seascape makes me forget my worries and somehow calms my nerves.
Hello noise mates! It's a busy Monday morning, and although I am not yet all too well, I am impelled to renew my business permit. It is not as simple as going to the business permit section. There are a lot of offices to go through, barangay hall, fire department, engineering, sanitary and the list goes on. Funny, how fast time flies and half of January already passed. I am hoping to finish everything today. Good thing my hubby's there to assist me. So how's your morning?
Hello noise mates! It's day 3 being in isolation. Although I really want to get out the house, and attend to our little business already because I am feeling all better now as compared to yesterday, I still have this nasty colds. I was advised to just take 4 days off or until I get really better. Well, methinks, one more day won't hurt. Picture here is my daily charcuterie (just to put a positive spin on it). π Stay safe everyone.
Hahaha.
Hello noise mates! Apart from daily Bible reading, my goal is to read one book a month. So that'll be 12 books for a year. Now I am in search for inspiring books to read. Any suggestions? My current read: Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner (that is just because it is only a 250-plus-page book, and I am both a daughter and a mother .)
Too bad, when we thought everything would be back to how things were before the pandemic, here we are again seeing the numbers slowly going up. Experts say the omicron variant is much more transmissible than the others. Good thing though is that, as they say, it is not as deadly as the other variants. Still, we should not keep our guards down. Let's properly follow the protocols. Ingat po tayong lahat.
Hello noise mates! It has been a busy day today. I was standing up for most of the day attending to our business. I am aching all over my body. So I thought of finally using the heat pack/hot compress given to me ages ago. Well, it seemed promising. I am starting to feel relieved. Yes, I am actually using it while making some noise. How's your day noisemates?
Hello noise mates! I haven't posted or made any "noise" lately just because I got a little busy with business. Now that everything's settled, I hope I can make more time making noise. I am leaving everyone with this view of the sea. I just thought it's very calming.
Hello noise mates! It's been over a week since I posted my last. I have been quite busy attending to our small business. I was literally hands on with the business. So because of that, I got my hands, my feet, and my body all aching. Thanks to the soothing massage I got this weekend. Anyways, here I am making some noise this weekend. Unwinding. Relaxing. Or getting prepped for tomorrow since it is yet again our market day. How is your weekend?
Hello noise mates! Morning walk is done. Yey! Thanks to a Spotify Playlist that I accidentally run into. I must say it was a pretty motivating music. I like how the upbeat beat kept me my heart pumping and me moving. So there! I'm off to get my morning coffee. Take care everyone. Have you been exercising? How was it?
Hello noise mates! It's market day Monday around here and business is getting back to how it used to be before the pandemic started. It's lively around here with sellers shouting here and there. Funny how their amplified voices are able to gather customers. If only I could record their voices, but I could only take a shot at it. What a great way to start the week. Happy weekday ahead!
Hello noise mates! Here I am thinking about what to post and while munching some Oishi, it made me look back at how old (or was it young?π) this junkfood is. I remember my elementary days having this for a snack. And still Oishi is still in the market. This prawn craker makes you taste the sea in that salty, spicy way. Funny, i can even taste my youth. Lol. Anyway, do you like Oishi too? Or eating chips from time to time?
Hello noise mates! Yesterday, I went to the optical shop to have a new pair of glasses. My old one accidentally dropped and got stepped on. So you can imagine what happened there. π Anyway, after I got my new specs, my dizzy head just stopped being dizzy. Turned out my right eye got a higher grade than the left one. Plus the doctor advised me to always wear it, so that my astigmatism will be better, if not be cured. It's a hassle, isn't it? What about you, are you wearing a 20/20 vision or do you also wear spectacles?
Hello noise mates! Finally, I took the time to make my own version of kimchi. That's because napa cabbage is abundant in the market today. I bought just 2 kilos. I have some leftover glutinous rice flour just so the korean chili flakes would stick together later. I also needed just a cup of radish, onion leaves, carrots and white onion plus some sugar and fish sauce. Kimchi, or anything fermented, is said to be good for gut health. My mom is not much of a fan but my daughter loves it. What about you, do you love kimchi too?

Hello noise mates! How's everyone? I don't know about you but there is something about Fridays that makes me a little bit thrilled. Maybe it is because I am looking forward to weekends. Or maybe ending the workweek feeling satisfied. Or maybe because Friday's mean bonding with family and friends. Or just maybe because I know that it is Friday freeday. You know that TGIF thing. What about you, do you also have that "Friday feeling"? By the way, today's my little one's virtual card day. For what's its worth, I am hoping for what she deserves best.
Happy Friday morning noise mates! Please help me in welcoming my unica hiya, @Alelii. After several attempts to join us here, she finally gave in. Hehehe. I will be accompanying my mom and dad for their second dose later around lunch. Let's have a fun day today. Let's stay safe!
Hello noise mates! Finally got my second dose Tuesday (Yey!) and yesterday I literally hibernated. I was just in my bed, snuggled down in my blanket and pillows. Gladly, with renewed energy and spirit, I am well and good. Here I am out and about ready to make noise. How are you? I hope we all have a nice day today!
Good morning everyone! Happy Monday! Start of another work day, it's a brand new day. Right now, at this very moment, I am listening to Joshua Radin's It's a Brand New Day. I like the melody of this song and the positive vibe this song brings. While it's true that this maybe a love song. Well, a heartbreak song of finally moving on. It brings a positive vibe of new beginnings. Have a good day everyone!
For the past 7 days, I made a conscious effort to include fruits and veggies in our meals. We are told that it will make us healthier. And that is exactly what we all want during this pandemic -- to be healthy and boost our immunity -- am i right? So yes, gulay pa more! The picture, by the way, shows the veggies of a dinengdeng. It is an ilocano vegetable dish best paired with grilled milkfish
First quarter is done. Three more quarters left. I checked through my daughter's pile of papers in her room, just to know which to keep and which to recycle. There was this task she made that caught my attention. They were asked to make a branding of their fave food. She drew this: it reads SUSHI-LICIOUS with a quite catchy tagline "Sushi's the one!" I wonder where did this cheesiness of her's came from?
It's almost midnight and I still don't feel sleepy. Funny though, I just woke up from a "nap". After dinner, my sis @juwel offered some freshly brewed civet coffee which I gratefully accepted. As soon as I finished the cup of coffee, I was feeling lethargic so I went straight to our room and fell asleep. Maybe I was out for about 15 minutes or so. Then for some reason I woke up feeling energized and now I cannot get back to sleep. Well, this maybe a good thing. Finally I can spend a few waking hours to make some noise here, as I have be quite busy for the past days.
This morning I received a surprise parcel from Anakalusugan Partylist of the House of Representatives. It is really surprising since I never ordered (they're not like shoppee or lazada) anything, much more knew anyone from there. Anyway, I opened it and saw four mats of pinkish, orangey capsules which turned out to be Ivermectin. Apparently, concerned doctors and citizens promote the use of Ivermectin to combat the virus. Enclosed was a leaflet about how to use as prescribed by Dr. Allan Landrito. There's a lot of debate on this since it isn't FDA approved yet but others do attest that it is an effective protection against the virus. Now, I am having second thoughts on whether to take this or not.

I happen to pass by my kid's room and heard her shout "hooray" while some of her classmates, "hep hep". I peeped. She's having her online classes. It's their second year of having classes online because of this pandemic. After classes, I asked what was that about. She answered that it was their teacher's way of checking the attendance while making sure everyone is focused and attentive to their online class. I thought it was very creative. Online classes do have its challenges, not only to the students but to the teachers as well.
What used to be mere numbers on covid-19 positive statistics lately became someone I know or acquainted with. Then recently, it reached friends and family members. It's just sad thinking that this pandemic has brought so much change to our lives. Covid-19 is real. Like everyone else, I hope and pray that this will all be over. Let's be diligent about following the set of health protocols. Stay safe everyone.
Most of the women I know are sentimental beings. I say this because while I was video chatting with a friend who happens to be decluttering her room, she proudly shows me a shoe box full of candy wrappers, movie tickets and what-nots. To me it looks like a box of trash, a clutter deserving of being thrown in the bin. Funny how she argues that those were amongst her most priceless possessions. Do you consider yourself sentimental too?
Nakaaliw dito sa noise.cash, 'no? Tapos!
