I Went To Jail
Since I don't have a topic today, I am just going to share what happened and where we went.
No, it's not what you're thinking about. I wasn't jailed. LoL. I went to Jail with my relatives for a cause. We distributed food packs and gifts to each inmate.
Taking photos and videos wasn't allowed but since it's a donation drive, we needed some pictures for our documentation. Also, the faces of the inmates were captured in the photos.
My mom woke me up and told me to accompany them to go to our town's jail. It was my first time going there and to be honest, I didn't know what to feel. Although I am telling you guys that I didn't judge them at all. We made sure that we are okay ourselves meaning COVID-free and brought our vaccination cards and ID.
The jail looks like a house. It wasn't the typical prisoner's quarters and they were free-roaming inside the facility. It felt like they were just there for a vacation and I think that it's a great thing because they are still human beings and they should be treated with the utmost respect.
We distributed the food packs by handing them through a small space that the food can fit through. As we were distributing, we gave each one a loot bag, food packs, and drinks. The loot bags that were given to the female inmates were different from the male. Some of it has a shirt, shampoos, and other stuff.
The inmates lined up so that the distribution would be organized. As I saw their faces with masks, I can't help to think of their stories. They look like nice people and can't even harm others.
There are instances where inmates are not guilty of their sentence. I mean, just like what happens in movies where other people own up to the mistake of other people just for the money that they are going to receive or in other instances, fowl play.
Some of them I think got into jail because of money. To steal money to buy food, clothes, medical bills, and other things.
I'm going to cut this article short as I don't have a lot of knowledge about jail and the prisoners. I just wanted to tell you that they have their stories and we shouldn't judge at all. Some of them deserve a second chance and may the people who have they affected/hurt can forgive them. Let us be reminded that they are still someone's family.
Let's vote wisely this upcoming national election and hope that the justice system here in the Philippines will be fair and just to each social class.

Naks naman, mamsh. Kudos dito sa ginawa n'yo ah. ✊🏻
Anyway, parang ang comfty jan sa jail na 'yan ah. Free to roam around lang ang peg. Pero true, we can't immediately judge those people just because of the thought na inmates sila. Di naman lahat is masama or what. Sad but truth. 🤷🏻♀️
