The tragic end of Tristan's Father and Mother on a night that was supposed to be a time of celebration - on one hand, for Sir. Timothy because he sealed a contract worth a lot of money which therefore, would be invested in a foundation that cared for the needy. While his wife welcomes the birth of their baby to the world. The news of their death spread like wildfire. Which made their well-wishers question the circumstances surrounding their unexplainable demise. But, no one would ever know, would they?

The Gordon's had an enemy, one that desired their fortune and fame more than anything. A small group of brutal ruffians - like you would call them, but no doubt highly regarded as business men and ambitious women of different backgrounds. Conniving slowly, but surely, a plan that progressed tremendously. They had conspired with a mercenary to lay to waste the life of Sir. Timothy, in his hotel room the night he got the call of his wife's death, and the sudden disappearance of his child. And paid off Eleanor's family nurse to highjack and take control of her procession to the hospital whilst getting rid of her along with the baby.

It worked as they thought it would, alright. Although not according to script, but it certainly did. Eleanor died with a deadly poison in her system after her child's birth. Sir. Timothy took his life when he found out his Family had been taken from him. There can be no greater pain than knowing the life of two upstanding Individuals - committed to creating a better world for little children, were taken away due to an unsightly misconception from a corrupt organization.

However, their miscalculation caused them to neglect the fragility of the human heart. The nurse who couldn't bring herself to kill the child. She took him away, and managed to keep him hidden near a narrow section a couple of miles away from the city. A kind gesture - if you will, but from an unfriendly face who only developed a fraction of an emotion in the unlikeliest of manner.

Aftermath.

Tristan lived out seventeen years in an old neighborhood - an environment that only masqueraded the ills and treachery that lives within by saving face in order to get whatever they wanted from charitable organizations.

He stayed in the home of an Elder - a man in charge of the day to day activities of the small community. He saved little Tristan's life those years ago but, not out of the goodness of his heart. The child lived his years in gruesome toil - a payback for a past he had no control over.

On the eve of Tristan's eighteenth birthday after much deliberation on his future, he decided to be away from the place he'd come to call home despite the faults. He was allowed to roam free to find, and live out his dream. Like his father, he was ambitious, smart and driven. His features of being a six feet tall, curly haired and good-looking young man was well enough. Plus, he had his mother's eyes. It seemed like all would go smoothly with him after getting a night job at a factory he started in for a few months.

However, on the night of the fourth Month, he stumbled upon a gang fight that resulted in the death of a man and a woman. In his quest to solve what transpired, Tristan got engaged with some police officers who also held the same notion of a crime that was, in the offing, going to lead to a series of the same event. One of them being a private investigator, hired by his late Father to head the company's security detail many years ago.

After revealing who he was, Tristan was driven more than ever to put his Parent's killers behind bars. However, he didn't realise the evil that ran deep in the said organization.

"Justice will be served on them, Ma.", he said.

The police man narrated the good his Father did for him, and the country at large.

"They sure lived a life, son.", He said.

"I always knew there was someone... some people responsible for their death. Because it was sudden. They were so full of life, and purpose.", he added.

"If only I'd known them.", said Tristan.

The thought of which brought him much sadness and anger. An anger for the culprits who conspired to lay to waste his Parent's life. He needed to avenge them. He was certain they wouldn't let him be if they found out about him. If he was to succeed with his plans, he'd have to be quick and precise, leaving nothing to chance, and setting the records straight. He had help. But, even that wasn't going to be enough. He wanted something against his enemies. Some sort of evidence. A good one. Something to disrupt their forces and scatter them like they did his family.

A couple of days later, on one of Tristan's many walks after leaving the factory. He was ambushed by the roadside and taken to an abandoned ground - a lakeside. His mouth gagged, and body wrapped tightly across with hard rope. He had been found out, and the fang that once sought to end him but couldn't had returned with twice the venom. Only this time there wasn't a help around to save him.

In that moment, he realised his fault in trusting a Man (the police officer) who was let to live despite all that happened. He had believed the lies, and false sympathy of someone who betrayed the trust of his Father. He was sold out for reasons he could never know of even if he wanted to. And so the world failed him, again. First, when it killed his Father and Mother and, now giving him up to his enemies.

His eyes gleamed after he lived through an old memory of himself back in his old neighborhood. He remembered the joy he felt when he was allowed to leave home. He hadn't felt anything like that all his life. Perhaps, it all would've been better if he'd spent a little time with his parents. That was the wish he so desperately wanted. He was young, yet life treated him so harshly without cause.

Minutes passed, after he'd been dragged away a few feet towards the lake, a gun was held above his head. The sound of which the revolver's shot stunned, and pierced his head before falling into the shallow waters. He was killed. An end to yet another generation of a Gordon in the hands of wicked, and evil Men. A life lived in penury, and toil ended with a death far beyond the natural order of things.

Tristan died without the warmth of a home to his head in life - as an orphan, and in death - as his body floated with the wave holding up his already cold body.

The End.

Note: This story is a work of fiction, as character names and places described are a hundred percent imaginary.
