How fast can you move?

Often we get inspired watching a runner on the Olympic tracks. Every year there is a new record. They try to beat their last year's records. How fast can humans move?

Can a human run as fast as an animal, say like a cheetah?

Or, the question is, "Should a human try beating a cheetah in a race?"

  • In life, everybody is unique with their limited abilities. Humans may not be able to run faster than a cheetah. But, humans can do a lot of good things in life.

You, I, Tom, Dick, Harry, he, she, and others have unique traits and abilities.

  • Should you try beating me?

  • Should I try beating you?

The question is "Why should you and I try to beat each other?"

Isn't it better to move at our own pace?

Many people get slogged down in life.

Life is not the same for all.

  • We live in different locations and different countries. Our background is diverse. We are brought up with unique values. We face our life problems in our own ways. No life is the same. Everybody's life is unique.

People living in the same house and under the same roof may not be the same. Even twin brothers/sisters are not the same. Twins mostly look alike, but their personal characteristics are likely to be always different.

  • Life can bring unexpected happenings that radically change its flow and growth. It may happen to anybody. Circumstances may compel you to slog down a little bit for a few years. You may have to take a break in education and or career.

It is a beauty of our life journey that gives unique experiences to each one of us. We must utilize it and move on.

It is okay to move at your own pace.

Long ago, I saw a stray dog in an Indian railway station who got one of its legs chopped off by an accident on the railway track. The other dogs run fast to catch food items thrown by the passengers.

  • With its amputated front leg, that particular dog could walk with difficulty. That didn't stop it from going to collect food. It had to eat the leftover food the other dogs hadn't eaten. The dog adapted to its disabled state and lived its life at its own pace.

It is always okay to slow down if we can't lead a fast life with our personal and incidental issues. Let us move at our own pace and face all problems of our lives.

  • There, you and I can take lessons from others' life struggles. It helps us to make intentional moves to tackle our life issues.

Don't imitate exactly what others did in their lives

Taking inspiration is one thing. And, imitating others is another thing.

  • What would you do?

  • Would you imitate others?

First, take note of what you may get by imitating others.

By imitating others,
(1) you may get a rough feel about others' lives.
(2) you may get an idea of how others solved their problems.

  • But, imitating others people's life is impossible unless you are exposed to the same situations and issues in those people's lives.

  • It is impossible to get similar situations and life problems from other people.

The best strategy would be to learn from other people's life problems, and utililize the knowledge to customize a plan of tackling your actual life problems.

Closing thoughts

Everybody leads a different and unique life.

  • Sometimes, it may so happen that some things are common in different people's lives. Those are random happenings and can't be generalized.

  • In reality, each one of us has a unique life and associated problems.

  • Even if we do the same, we can't mimic each other's successes and failures. Failures may come quite often, but successes are rare.

Thus, it is better to move at our own pace and face life issues with an open spirit.

We have our own pace we have our own journey, we should focus on our track, we should focus on our finish line. Believe in yourself and never let yourself be intimidated by what others are capable to do so. Work on it for yourself.
