LinkedIn is a professional network.

As most of you might know that LinkedIn is a social network platform. Anybody can create an account and leverage multiple features of LinkedIn.

  • I repeatedly mentioned the importance of LinkedIn in any professional's life.

  • I wrote a few articles on why one should create an account on LinkedIn.

Some of you asked odd questions, like "Can you earn on LinkedIn?" and similar.

  • Many of you wrote, "I don't have time for another platform."

The truth is that LinkedIn is one of the professional networking platforms having tremendous opportunities for humans in all domains.

There is a facility for "missed calls" on LinkedIn!

  • If someone views your LinkedIn profile, you will see the person's profile in the notification feed as "who visited your profile." We can consider this facility a "missed call," as we see on our phone.

There is, of course, a facility where a LinkedIn user can turn the "visibility" button to private so that they can view LinkedIn profiles in the private mode.

  • One can click open someone's profile and expect the person may give a reciprocal view of your profile.

  • It is a helpful feature of LinkedIn. Users can expect that they may get a message in their inbox.

I received a "missed call" on LinkedIn from a high school student.

  • Today, when I logged in to LinkedIn in the morning, I found that a high school student had viewed my LinkedIn profile.

Mostly, today's students are fond of social media. It is not their fault. The parents of the students show their social media addiction and indirectly inspire them to view social media more than educational platforms.

  • This student is a surprise. I am happy that a high school student created a LinkedIn account and explored the platform.

Concluding thoughts

  • The new generation has an inherently positive outlook.

Are the parents/guardian nurturing their learning attitude?

  • Older people should be seriously involved in positive life activities.

Social media is a probable place for killing time for nothing productive.

  • We must show youngsters the correct avenues of learning and growth.

LinkedIn is a place where the student community can learn and grow a career.

Postscript

LinkedIn always surprises me professionally!

I forgot to mention, I got a request from an editor of a big media house for an interview on cybersecurity through LinkedIn!

Finally, I took a telephone call from the news editor.

1.Does the LinkedIn has the same app as of other social networks, i.e. Facebook, Twitter, etc?

  1. Doesn't it have a y calling/missed calling Feature earlier?

Appreciated your excellent information in shape of post

I mean the "Profile viewed" list on LinkedIn as a "missed call," not a voice call as in FB or elsewhere.

These "missed calls" sometimes can be useful but many times just people who wants surreptitiously to attract attention or just gossiping your profile. As always there is a good use and a bad use too.

These "missed calls" also disclose who is trying to ping your profile. You may guess the profile viewers who is the audience and who wants a promotion. Malicious and criminal-minded people can hide their identities by choosing private mode profile viewing. You can also view these profiles in private mode.

Ah ok also profiles in private mode? Anyway I intended to talk about not criminals but just people who like gossip about the others' life, there are a lot of them too. But for other things and uses, it's ok, it's useful.

I get such limited profile views, so anything that comes seems interesting to explore.

Good, and just focus on interesting contacts.

Of course, I critically assess the profiles in my "Profile viewed" list.

I think with the LinkedIn premium you can see who viewed your profile for many accounts.

No. If a LinkedIn user selects to be private in the profile viewing option in their settings, a premium service can NOT show "who viewed the profile."
