Don't Neglect Your Health

Go for a minimal health checkup regularly.

I am lethargic to go for a health or medical checkup. I admit mine is not a good habit for maintaining healthy living.

  • For the last few weeks, I felt uneasy while getting up from bed in the morning. It was nothing serious but a little bit of dizziness in the head for a minute or so.

  • My elder sister, who is sixty-five now, advised me to go for a checkup on blood pressure. She is a medical doctor but lives far away from our home.

I took my sister's advice and decided to go for a pressure checkup.


I went for a pressure checkup.

I went to the emergency department of our nearest government hospital.

  • It was already 8 PM. The young doctor at the desk checked my blood pressure which was slightly on the higher side.

  • He wrote two medicine, once a day for two weeks.

  • He advised me to limit consuming excessive salt and sugar.

  • He also advised me to visit the medicine department in the daytime.

  • The present condition is nothing serious now, but something to be taken seriously in the future. That is simple learning.

  • One must go for a minimal health checkup if one feels uneasy.

The best would be to go for a minimal health checkup at regular intervals. With growing age, the frequency of checking may be monthly or weekly, as advised by a trained medical doctor.


Conclusion

  • Even if you are physically very fit, you may sometimes fall unwell.

  • Don't take it lightly if the health issues are noticeable.

Take appropriate care of your physical health, and go for a health checkup in a nearby hospital.


Postscript

Some of us are overprotective and go to a medical doctor every now and then.

  • A doctor friend once told me about such pretending patients.

These are the people who are fond of visiting a medical doctor. They usually have solid health insurance and make use of their insurance quota every month!

  • It is often tricky to judge whether one is unwell or perfectly healthy.

  • Finally, it comes to the medical doctor's honesty and ethics!

But, you know that honesty and ethics are rare traits on this planet.

=> So, be careful about everything

Maybe you sleep longer in a single position that is why you feel dizzy when getting up.. You have to sit in bed for a while before getting out of it.. It's what we called, orthostatic hypotension wherein your blood submerges into one side of your body so you feel dizzy when you get up.

But if it persists and is not because of a single sleeping position, then you better consult a physician. It can be because of a lack of sleep too. The blood is depleted when lacking sleep. You will feel dizzy as you get up in the morning.
