Can Anything Come For Free?

We use webmail services.

• Most of us have a webmail address. We are told that the webmail service is free. Anybody can signup with a phone number or another email address for free.

The list of so-called free webmail service providers has many names. The list includes Gmail, Yahoo Mail, and so many others.

We use online data storage space providers.

The word "cloud" has become so popular among Internet users. Even the top IT business houses adopted the term "cloud" in their product lists.

• The funny information about the word "cloud" in the arena of the IT world stems from a comment from a person (an Indian-origin management professional) who didn't have proper knowledge about the functioning of the Internet!

• That management professional uttered without knowing what he was commenting. He unknowingly said as if the Internet service is coming from the "cloud" in the sky and the cyber world grabbed "cloud" as a keyword!

This so-called "cloud" storage service has been on the Internet for free by big tech companies, including Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, and others.

We use social media platforms.

• Social media are so close to our hearts. Social media have become almost an inseparable component of social life worldwide.

• Social media marketing is a tool for all big and small businesses to promote/advertise their products and services to prospective consumers.

Social media features are also free with an email address or phone number.

Can anything come for free?

• What is it that we can get FREE in this modern world?

Can anything come for free? Really?

• The so-called free webmail services are NOT free of cost.

• The so-called free cloud storage services are NOT free of cost.

• The social media platform usages are NOT free of cost.

All the free facilities on the Internet are NOT free of cost.

Nothing in this real world is free of cost.

All the so-called FREE stuff on the Internet is NOT cost-free!

• The so-called free webmail, cloud storage, and social media are NOT cost-free.

• The users of these facilities pay for the services provided.

The users indeed pay for these so-called free products/services through the personal data and time consumption of the advertisements on these platforms.

• The PRICE is the users' private DATA and valuable TIME.

So, next time, when we/you promote these products/services as free, we/you must admit that the PRICE of these free facilities is our/your personal DATA and precious TIME.

Your personal DATA + Your valuable TIME = PRICE of the so-called free products.
