"WE MUST CELEBRATE IN OUR DIFFICULT TIMES, IT GIVES THE PEOPLE COURAGE TO GO FURTHER"
The Indian users would have already what India at 75 means and some other users too have got the point. To all those users who are not aware of what India at 75 means, it is "the number of years past Indian Independence". India was colonised early as 1605 when the Dutches came over, followed by Danish, French, Austria, Portuguese, and the British Raj. The authenticity of their arrivals to India was inclined to establishing their businesses but as things advanced, they try to control the land according to their own rules. And, this was followed by slavery and horrific violence, and exploitation of various resources viz., humans, minerals, commodities, and so on.
The freedom fighters with their collaborative efforts fought the first war of independence in 1857 and with continuous efforts finally announced India being an independent country on 15th August 1947. And, since then we celebrate August 15th every year as Independence day and it is declared a national holiday. That being said, we have celebrated 75 years of Independence day today. The 75th year of independence is celebrated with an enthusiasm like one might have not ever seen. With a popular "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign our honourable prime minister asked his fellow citizens to put the Indian flag on our social media and hoist the national flag on the balcony of our houses from August 02 to August 15. This campaign also brought criticism from a few elements as well which I must not fail to mention here.
According to the "Flag code of India", earlier, we were not allowed to hoist the flag before sunrise and it must not be flown after sunset, being found as violative of the code can attract punishment and fine as well. But, this year we amended our flag code and are allowed to hoist the flag all day long. And, therefore the Indian flag can be seen everywhere on the streets, on houses, apartments, public buildings, private institutions, and other places at any time of the day. I go for a morning walk and was pleased to see the Indian flag on each house.
The enthusiasm which I was talking about, this year people were talking about this campaign so cheerfully, everyone can be seen very excited, the auto-rickshaws put the flag on them, the trucks, the transporting vehicles, and others all places can be seen with the flag.
AS THE SAYING GOES, "WE MUST CELEBRATE IN OUR DIFFICULT TIMES, IT GIVES THE PEOPLE COURAGE TO GO FURTHER", we are well aware of the fact that we just evolved from the covid pandemic which led to the shutdown of the entire country, I wouldn't say the certain people were hit the hardest by the pandemic because in a way all the people suffered. Many lost the love of their life, husbands, children, parents, and relatives, many lost various opportunities of their life, many lost some precious years of their time to explore things out there, and many small and medium businesses were shut down. These handicraft workers, mills, weavers, and small factories get a little boost with the surge in the demand for the flag. And, they can continue running their business with enhanced enthusiasm, and other people who lost someone dear to them, get a way to celebrate and coming together of people deep down reminded each one of us that we can get past anything all together and this celebration marking 75th year of Independence brought us together again.
Thank you.
Have a peaceful night.
The next part will be published soon.
