Misinformation

The world today is a place where the average human being doesn’t know who to believe anymore, the world is full of lies, deceit and misinformation.

And some people living in some particular countries are being brainwashed by their government to believe all those lies and propaganda, after all when lies are repeated so many times it will become the truth to the person listening. It shouldn’t be this way, but sadly it is the reality and now turning in to a norm.

Hate speech and segregation

There is also something about the way people have been acting in the world lately. People are carelessly spreading hate speech, and turning a blind eye towards the pain and suffering of others. The world has become an unsafe place to live in than before.

Many communities have become segregated and hateful. It is almost impossible to coexist with others when there are so many differences between us. It seems that most people these days talk about one another at worst, and ignore each other at best.

Unsafe

The world today is not safe anymore. As we can see in the news every day, innocent people are being killed, maimed and displaced in several places of the world. So many children are kidnapped, women raped and innocent men murdered because no one is there to help them fight back. The world is full of fake people with hidden intentions. Sadness is everywhere. People live in fear, not knowing who to trust

Some people living in certain countries, wake up every morning with a sense of fear knowing that they might be attacked. These attacks could be when we try to board public transport, on public roads, in public parks, while shopping in the mall or even while relaxing at home.

Every time they step out, they wonder if this could be the time they lose our lives because some folks just have no respect for human life. They are scared because they can't predict who will be the next victim and when it would happen.

Ugly

The world today is ugly, crowded and noisy. There are a lot of wicked acts done by people in the society today. People have lost their values. Church and religion have lost their glory and the world is no longer the safest place to live in. People have become selfish, greedy and wicked. There is corruption everywhere hence the world has become a battle ground for the wicked, ego and corrupt people.

But;

However, there are some of us who refuse to give up on humanity and who still believe that we can make this world a better place to live.

The truth is, we have always had the power to change how we live together on this planet. Each of us has the power to choose how we want to act, speak, and feel.

It is high time we put up a fight against these injustices, start fighting for what is right and protect the innocent in our communities.

It's sad that we need to protect our children from the world, but it's sadder how we've allowed things to get this way.

But Educating our children on the past so they can learn from it to make better choices in the future, is a critical step in how they will make positive changes within themselves and their communities.

The best way to fight these wickedness is to educate the next generation of leaders, thinkers, change makers and doers to stand up for what is right. But sadly we are rarely seeing something like that happen especially in developing countries, where access to education is being denied to millions of children.

The world might be a safe place if only countries and world leaders decide to live in peace, respect human rights, make diplomacy the way of solving dispute only, respect international laws and not trying to take advantage of another country. The future looks so bleak right now and the imagination that the earth might be peaceful seems like fairy tales that might never be achieved.
