Holla amigos (hello friends) welcome to my fourth article in the month of May. I would be sharing and analyzing some of my quote today. All of these quotes were written more than a year ago.
Making Evil look Civil
So I would be starting with this quote you see below, it caught my attention this morning and it is part of what motivated me to write this article.
I actually turned this into a pictorial form in 2020, but the quote was from a longer poem written in 2018.
Devil is a word used to represent someone who is wicked and mischievous and it is often used to represent Satan (the supreme evil spirit according to the Abrahamic religions)
What are Abrahamic religions?
In case you are confused on what Abrahamic religions are, let me explain.
Abrahamic religions are monotheistic (believing in one God) religions that worship and believes in the God of Abraham and their religion is said to be linked or descended from traditions of Abraham.
According to Google there are 8 Abrahamic religions but only 3 are well known and in majority and they are; Christianity, Islam and Judaism.
Back to the quote! How does devil makes evil looks civil?
The quote is actually a meaningful rhyme as you can notice in the words; devil, evil and civil.
The works of devil are evil, and according to Abrahamic religions the devil pushes men to do evil in disobedience to the law of God.
As we can see nowadays that people are condoning things which are disgusting and evil and they see no harm in doing them. Civil is here is a word for reasonable.
Although I don't totally accept when people try to justify all their wicked actions and inactions by blaming the devil. But still yet we can't reject the fact that there are forces around us that influences people to do what is wrong or bad.
Q and U
This quote was my attempt to write something romantic (don't laugh, I am not a romantic guy ☹️). I couldn't think of anything to use but the love "Q"has for "U".
In English words, any word that starts with a "Q" get followed by "U". I know some scrabble players might want to disprove me. But be careful, most of the words that start with "Q" and are not followed by a "U" are borrowed words from other culture or languages.
Who is ugly?
How do you define an ugly person? Well I believe an ugly person isn't one who doesn't have great facial features but a person who has a sadistic heart.
A sadist is a person who delight in seeing people suffer. Such kind of people are the ones to be called ugly.
What is death?
This quote was taken also from a poem I wrote in 2018 about death. What is death? Many people have defined death in many ways, but we can't deny the fact that death is part of nature, it is natural. It happens to every creature, only that each species' time frame is different.
In this quote I liken death to a dark knight, someone who does things in secret and most time unwelcome.
What does silence do to you?
Silence is synonymous with peace, but not every silence. Some silence, comes as a result of isolation like the grave yard. Not many can cope with isolation or loneliness.
Some people become better persons through silence, isolation and loneliness but it can have adverse effects on other people.
You are a work in progress!
If Alexander G. Bell (the inventor of the telephone) was alive today. He would freak out that humans have been able to create a wireless Device that can carry out communication, can also work as camera, a recorder and a speaker.
This quote is motivational quote explaining that nothing is invented perfectly, but day by day they are being improved and worked upon. Remember that, anytime you are hard on yourself. Success isn't a quickie but a journey. Slow and steady wins the race.
_______
The devil is a smart being, he knows or let's say, he has succeded in making sins/evil look pleasing in the eyes of people. People now do evil with "good" justifications. E.g. commiting ad*ltery with the mindset of "it's everyone's doing"
