Hello everyone! How's your Saturday going? I hope it's doing great. Having rest to all the hard work during the weekdays. Though some of us still needed to work even in weekends. There's more needed to be done especially the laundry and household chores. But still we should be grateful that another week has ended blissfully. Let's all be grateful friends and never forget to thanks the Almighty Father who bless us all the way.

Since it's only few more days to go before my day come, so I've been thinking what could be done. I am stuck in between, preparing something as thanks giving or not. Every year I celebrated my birthday with something at least just some food to share with my family. The previous year was unexpected because I have unexpected visitors came over with a little surprise that I wasn't expecting. Weew it was a surprise of course it wasn't expected lol. Silly me. π
So, my day was spend on just thinking and weighing things out. I have only 600 pesos cash with me. Though I already offered it to Papa to buy some things that is needed in the house like the light breaker and a wire for our electricity installation. Since our electricity is only connected in our neighborhood and then we need to transfer it to another neighborhood because that neighbor of ours that we connected will be going to another place. But then Papa refuses upon knowing that I don't have anything for my birthday. I told them I would not celebrate and disagree with it. So, the money is still intact so maybe I should think if what I could buy for that amount then.
During the afternoon, I spend my time thinking and watching some low budget food on my favorite channel when it comes to low budget meal. I don't have the link but you can search "Yummy kitchen" on Facebook or YouTube, it would automatically pop up. I do find yummy food in there but still it would not fit to the money that I have. So, I just put a list of certain food that would definitely fit my budget.
First is chicken tinola since we all love to have soup in the table, I personally do. And it doesn't need much ingredients, I just need to improvise like putting papaya instead of sayote and malunggay instead of cabbage or any green leafy vegetables that I could find in the backyard.
Second is Ginataang manok , this is one of Papa's recipe that we also love. It is best with chili on it. And it would make the small amount of chicken look a lot since the cutting of the chicken would be in small pieces.
Third is vegetable lumpia, since fried is also present in any celebration and lumpia would perfectly fit to my budget and it is yummy as well, especially with the special sauce that my sister cook. I would request that to her cause I don't know how to make it. Hehe
Lastly is spaghetti, i am quite hesitant with this one because it kinda need a lot ingredients but I remember mom would always want spaghetti and this is also one of my favorite.
Since I am done with what the menu to be cook, I listed the ingredients to be bought. So, I chop it according to my budget. I estimated the amount of each product and calculate them all. Here it goes.
I listed only chicken if you notice from the beginning of the menu because as much as I love to buy pork it will really cost much. Unlike chicken it more cheap. Only 2 kilos, maybe 1 kilo each chicken menu, tinola and ginataan. 50 pcs. Lumpia so that it could fit to all without any worries. And only 1/2 spaghetti because I can't afford 1 kilo. I only include hotdog since spaghetti could be without the other ingredients like grilled pork, meatballs and all but not without hotdog. I love hotdog. So I have a total of 554 or less, so I still have change so I have decided to buy a 1.5 liters of coke. To push those menu in hehe. That would be a total of 600, so since I did not set aside for my fare I have decided to walk going back and forth from my house to the town. I miss taking a walk so this would be fun. I hope so, with all those stuff, I guess it won't be that fun. Well, maybe I could bring a backpack then, smart me. Lol (insert wink)
I don't know if I would really push this through, I want some home made cake or cupcakes for dessert but I don't have money anymore. I am also stuck in between cashing out some earning or not. Oh my gash! please no. It's not that I am treating hard towards myself but I am also thinking of saving those amount for something else which is more important. Currently, while typing this, I am still stuck in between. And whenever I change my mind it's just in between sticking with the budget plan without thinking of any dessert or cashing out some money to have dessert, or nothing at all. I am so undecided. Could you help me decide?
So, if I you in my shoe what would be the best choice? Why?
