A healthy recipe
Hi everyone! Happy Monday. Another week started and I hope you are all doing great. Praise God for all the blessings we recieve.
Hello to my wonderful sponsor. God bless and stay healthy.
Every now and then we struggle things in our daily living. One of those is preparing food every meal. I guess all mom would relate to it. I am not a mom yet but mom would always ask me what to cook for the meal. It's actually not a problem to those individuals who plan their meal already. Like knowing what to cook and ingredients are already presents in the food storage or cabinet. Yet, to those who doesn't have one it is indeed a struggle that we need to surpass daily. Lucky to those who have money to buy everything they think of or wanted to eat but not to those unlucky ones, like us. So, preparing a meal is a hard task to be done.
Another issues of preparing meal is the nutritional value it gives to us in short the struggle of healthy meal preparation cause not everyone can afford one and I believe not every meal we prepare is a healthy one agree or disagree? Cause sometimes we can only afford a pack of dried fish or a can of sardines. Struggle of penny to buy goods to prepare. Other times we have money but we want something less healthy or we don't have the luxury of time to prepare one. Well, I myself is not strict about healthy foods as long as what food my parents could provide to us in the table we don't have the attitude to be ungrateful. We are grateful enough to be given whatever food in the table. Here's one of Mama's healthy recipe yet so affordable that we all love.
Sweet potato leaves salad "talbos Ng camote". It's a very affordable dish since lately we run out of budget for viand. Since mama had her sweet potato garden in the backyard we took the advantage to have this nutritious menu.
Ingredients:
Sweet potato leaves (cut into desired length)
Bagoong "salted fish"
Tomato
Union
Salt
Vinegar
Procedure:
Boil some water and put the sweet potato leaves.
While waiting for the leaves to cook cut the tomato and union into small pieces.
When the leaves is cook drain it in the strainer but do not throw the water from the boiled leaves.
Mixed the leaves, tomato and union. Add some bagoong.
Add some salt to taste and a small amount of vinegar to complete the salad taste.
You can make a soup from the boiled leaves.
The salad is very healthy since the leaves from the sweet potato contains fiber. And it is good for those who have low red blood cells and have suffered from insomnia or anemic. This healthy recipe is also delicious. It serves as appetizer that could make you ate more. A very affordable but healthy one.
Enjoy your meal everyone. Stay healthy.
