To Be Successful, Here's How!!

Hello good morning amazing community, how are you all doing today? I'm here to preach today. We are going to dive deep into a topic that is both interesting and motivating to us.. to do so, I'm going to give a real life example of an acquaintance that I know through a friend of mine.. let us see their story..

I was 15 when I first saw him.. Let us keep his name as Raj. Raj is my bestie's friend who she finished school with. She joined the same college I did and through her, I came to know about him. Raj is not my friend but he is a nice person at least on the top level. Respects others, very polite and has goals in his life.. Through Raj, I also met his best friend from his neighborhood called Monty. Monty's personality is quiet opposite to Raj.. He's out-going and funny but also comes as a rude person.. He has goals too and his ambitions are similar to Raj's..

Raj and Monty finished their graduation and then PGs and they applied for doctorates also.. Their ambition is to teach to students and work as professors in universities.. Since Raj always wanted to reach his goal, he was patient enough to finish his doctorate and once he did, he was immediately hired as Assistant professor in the same university that gave him his degree and his life started to peak.. But Monty on the other hand, was so impatient towards his goals, like he wanted everything to happen overnight.. and he could not wait until he finished his doctorate but somehow wanted to be a professor before Raj did, he applied to work as Assistant professor in private colleges in which doctorate is not necessary and thus he became professor way before Raj did..

Monty's mind was filled with greed and jealousy and he started boasting to his friends about getting one step closer to his dream job before even getting his degree.. life was going so well for him until the world was hit by economic crisis few years ago where several organizations had to down size their employees.. When Monty's college released their list, one of the top names was of Monty's.. He was shocked to see and he went to the management to ask for reason. They simply said "well, we filtered among the professors of our college and it was easy for us to pick those without a doctorate.. we are sorry".. Monty's world was scattered into several pieces.. He did not finish his doctorate, he lost his job and also respect while Raj kept pursuing his dreams at a reasonable pace filling up all the requirements and finally about to get a promotion to become a professor in social studies...

Looking back at these stories, we can learn few lessons from Monty and also Raj.. Monty thought there is short cut to success and he thought his temporary pleasures are actual success while he did not accomplish what was needed to truly get successful completely while Raj was patient enough to set his goals and work through it.

The main key points to be successful are simple:

• Do it for yourself: The very first point I always tell people no matter what they ask me is to be humble.. One must have dreams to pursue for "themselves" to see "oneself" successful and not for others.. The moment we start to do a work "for others" is the moment we failed already.. we must make ourselves better, we must work for us we must in for us... We need to have that passion and commitment to constantly work to better ourselves.. not for others... Impressing others MUST be always out of question...

• Be Patient: The simple way to put this is, life has no short cuts.. success comes to people who srtive hard towards their goals and work their way up... and even if success comes without even doing anything from our side, it won't last.. and that is why, until we reach our destination, we need to be patient and keep trying instead of searching for short cuts..

• Learn New Skills: Life is an ever changing enigma.. it neither stops or pauses for anyone.. one easy way to get on top is to "be different" and not to be just a sheep in the herd. They achieve nothing in life.. you need to find and create your own style and techniques that work for you.. no only that, if everybody are graduates, what makes you different is any special skill that you possess because talented people are picked first among every other common folk.. Always be a student, always try to learn new things and be innovative.

• Stay focused and positive: Try not to have any distractions in your life.. you can have hobbies but make sure they help you to stay focused on your work rather completely shifting your focus away from your work.. keep reminding you of your priorities and have a healthy lifestyle by surrounding yourself with positive people that encourages you towards your goals.

• You are your competition: your work is your only way to your success thus making you competition to yourself.. many people do not understand the fact that nobody is anybody's competition other than to themselves.. every time someone wants to do better, they have to do better against what they themselves have achieved last time.. Everybody has their own story to tell, so you are your own competitor, always try to perform better each time compared to the previous rather comparing your work with other's like Monty did.. it will only lead in depression and failure..
