There are many alleged haunted objects, things or items in the world. It is said that Spirits cannot work on their own because of the fact that they no longer belong to our world or our reality. they need to associate themselves to objects that they like or had sentiment on when they existed in the world. Like their dolls or mirrors or toys or even normal objects like a chair bed and so on. If you observe this, there are hell amount of stories about moving dolls in house or objects being misplaced.
All the haunting stories some way or other relate to the objects in the house. By doing so, spirits would let you know their existence in the premises. Every possession would have a history behind it and one of such possession is what we are going to read today. A Haunted Chair. the picture you see below is the real pic of the haunted chair and the museum keeps it high on the wall in a crystal clear intention to stop people from sitting in it because it is said that anybody or if you would have to sit in the chair would turn up dead. Creepy isn't?
This chair is currently is said to be in England and strongly believed that if anyone sits on it turns dead immediately or pretty much sooner with or without reasonable causes. Some of those people who were vanished after sitting on this chair were never seen again or their dead bodies were never found. But why? here is why. many people believe the same story of a convicted criminal on name Thomas busby who lived in 1702 cursed this chair because it is said that this chair is his favorite chair ever.
He never allowed any person to sit in his chair whatsoever the reason was. This person was convicted of a murder and was punished to be hanged. But before he was hung, he was asked about his last wish and he said he wanted to eat his favorite meal in his favorite bar sitting in his favorite chair. the authorities accepted his request and took him to that place. He happily ate his last meal in the same place that he had so many memories and after he finished eating, he was to be taken to hung when he stood up from his favorite chair and yelled "May sudden death come to anyone who dare sit in my chair". He screamed this few more times so that all the people in the pub heard this loud and clear and few of them made fun of this.
He was then taken to the jail and hanged to death. All the local people came to know about the chair and there were daring each other to actually go and sit in that chair because no one believed that the curse could be something serious. They all wanted to test it to see if that is actually true or not. After few years when it was the war time, many soldiers would come and sit on that chair for an evening drink or to get relaxed and when they go back to the war zone, none of them who sat on the chair actually returned back safely. Not only this, many and many others who sat in this chair faced death suddenly without any reason to explain. In 1960, two officers said to have made fun of the chair and they sat on it and as and when they left the bar with their truck, they ran into a tree and was declared dead on spot. In 1970, a mason decided to test this chair and sat on it. When he returned to his work space, he fell into a hole which he dug and died.
The next year, some body who actually works on roofs went to sit on the chair because he dared himself and that evening the roof he was working on collapsed miraculously and he died on the spot. There were other people working in the site and none of them were even got a scratch from it. Now at this point of time, many people started to strongly believe in this legend because they kept seeing one death after another after another. It is even said that a cleaning lady who was working in that bar one day accidentally tripped and fell on that chair in a sitting position while she was cleaning it. Soon enough, she died of brain tumor that she did not even know she had and never had any sort of symptom of it. can you imagine? Poor woman didn't even had any intention to sit but was just cleaning it.....The list went on and on. They'd sit on the chair and coincidentally would die the same afternoon or the following day. If you ask me, why that chair wasn't kept far above the ground level sooner than it was today?
The owner of the bar finally thought it was enough and he moved the chair to the basement and instructed no staff of his own should sit on it. However one afternoon, a delivery man came for to deliver a package and he was instructed to go to the basement and place them there when he decided to take a small break and sat on that chair. Shortly after he left, he met with an accident and he died the same afternoon. A blog had mentioned that appropriately 70 people had died after sitting in that chair just like how Thomas busby had mentioned, not death but "sudden death". they all died a sudden unexpected deaths in unusual ways. Pilots running into tree? mason falling in a hole, roof worker falling off roof and healthy staff died of tumor without symptoms?? these cannot be simply incidents aren't they?
In 1970s, the pub owner finally decided to donate that chair to a museum because he felt guilty of keeping that chair for all these decades. The museum authorities display the chair 5 feet above ground level with a clear intention of no one to sit on it intentionally or accidentally. They do not want one more death because of this chair. No matter whether this is just a coincidence or urban legend, this gives me a creepy feeling all over the body because imagine tripping near it. omg...
