Your Country Is Still A Better Place

Sometimes seeing the bad environment and toxicity around our country we feel so bad that we think we deserve a better place. But let me tell you, your country is still better than most countries. Especially if you have a democratic government in your country than even though with all the corruption and idiocy, it's still better than the Communist and Dictatorship countries.

Generally, I don't talk about other countries as sitting in a room and reading news and then judging them isn't right but I thought one should realize the value of their own country through this post using one country as an example which has almost no link and contact with the outer world.

Which Country Is It?

And that is non-other than 'North Korea' ruled by the man Kim Jong-un. North Korea has a totalitarian dictatorship government and the situation of people there is literally like working as slaves or maids.

Life In North Korea

There are so many restrictions like one can't watch foreign movies and shows, can't talk with foreigners through call as social sites are already blocked there more than 5 years ago and if caught they will put the tag of a traitor you and give you heavy punishments. This is just the beginning if someone does a crime, their whole family including the grandparents has to face the punishment. This is known as the third-generation punishment style in which your whole family tree is charged guilty.

One can't have their favorite hairstyle, 10 hairstyles are set for men and 28 sets for women. One can only choose from them, if anyone got a new one, they will be sent to jail and every young person has to serve in the military. There are countless absurd rules in this dictatorship type of government.

A Small Comparison

We have seen how China is controlling its people with strict rules, and that is a communist government.

But if you compare this or your country with North Korea, it's a lot better than it. You can live freely with freedom unlike there where there's no freedom. Life without freedom one can't enjoy life at all. In a dictatorship, it's like living as a slave as we have read in histories where Kings used to do whatever they like.

As far as I like Kim's hairstyle, lol I really hate this guy. He occasionally tries to test dangerous missiles raging unnecessary fights with neighbouring countries.

Final Thoughts

I must say and accept even with the corruption and crime, my country is better because it's not centralized completely. A lot of people hold power and that's why people say support decentralization just like in Crypto. We at least have not such absurd restrictions, we are free to wear, study, and watch to our liking and interest while people of North Korea aren't. I feel sad knowing about this. The world is a very twisted place and never let a single person get a hold of anything.

If Twitter is run by only one person like Elon Musk then it won't turn out good because he will start acting biased. Yes, he will people with power lose themselves. But let me tell you Elon is just the lead face, there's a group of men and women there taking decisions. It's not only Elon Musk.

Mostly people don't like living in their own country freely... They really don't realize how many countries exist where people are suffering or life isn't easy... The one example you gave here is perfect!!

Regarding the freedom stuff, here in my country some father seem to cease freedom from their children. Some parent whose sons and daughters are up to 35 years and above, they still have Dominion over them

Some people still practices controlling behaviour which isn't good at all, sad to know about it. But it's also normal in India.

That's a huge level of totalitarianism they practice there and I feel for those who have been subjected to such a life because they have no life of their own. They have to do as they are told which is disturbing.

Yeah, it's like a hell for them. There's no fun and life in living there with restrictions and rules like that.

I don't think I can survive in a country like North Korea. Their rules are just too strict and choking. Not that my country is perfect but it is better to an extent
