The bregecko's post motivated me to write about member.cash. Member.cash is an open source software programmed by @FreeTrade (not to be confused with freetrader), which uses memo-protokol and allows to read the posts written with memo.cash and to write to the blockchain like memo.cash. This means that all actions are written in the Bitcoin Cash blockchain, just like memo does. You can see all the posts you have written with member by using memo and vice versa.
if you have a memo.cash account and want to use member.cash, you only have to import your memo.cash private key into member.cash. That's all (if you have not yet exported and written down your private key from memo, this is highly recommended anyway). You can also do it the other way around. You can create an account on member.cash and import your private key into memo.cash. Unlike memo.cash, which stores a database with user names and passwords outside the blockchain, member.cash does not have a separate database for this. You login with your private key.
Member.cash has many advantages. For example, you can use the reddit markup language and write unlimited posts (memorandums).
Furthermore, the reddit like design of member is more readable for many answers than memo. You can also rate other users. Thereby the users get a score, which represents their trustworthiness. You can see on a map which merchants are near you that accept Bitcoin Cash. Another possibility is to become a moderator and moderate topics similar to reddit. You have the possibility to display the amonunts in USD instead of BCH and some other possibilities which you should explore by yourself.
The latest news is that you can send private messages to other users on member.cash. These messages are stored encrypted in the blockchain, unlike normal posts which are visible to everyone. You have to be careful with this feature, because if the recipient's private keys are published, all communication with this user is compromised, so I don't recommend sending very large secrets this way. However, if you only want to send information to another user that is not very important and still do not want everyone to read it, you can use it.
Member.cash also has disadvantages. Member.cash cannot handle SLP tokens. You cannot send or receive SLP tokens with member.cash. You cannot send satoshis to external addresses, you can only give tips to other member users.
The biggest advantage of member.cash in my opinion is the fact that the project is open source and that it is constantly being developed. Everybody can view, download and adapt the source code and submit their suggestions for changes.
I use member.cash in addition to memo.cash and have very good experience with it. Many thanks at this point for @FreeTrade for his good work.
Sir, how do you write your posts so beautifully? Help me to write like you. I like you to be like you.
