WHAT IS YOGA?
Yoga is the oldest doctrine of balance of body, mind and spirit.
Yoga is our operation according to the timeless moral principles of non-violence, truthfulness, stealth, moderation and non-accumulation.
Yoga is a way of dealing with oneself that respects purity, self-acceptance, self-discipline, self-exploration, and trust in a higher power. It keeps our minds calm.
Yoga is a body position or asana through which we feel and get to know our body, control it and liberate it.
Yoga is conscious breathing. Building a bridge between body and mind, between our conscious and unconscious part of the mind. When we begin to breathe consciously, then we take control of the breath (pranayama) and we can begin to control the body and mind. Above all, the breath fills us with prana, vital life energy.
Yoga is the silencing of the senses. Turning our five senses away from the saturated outside world inward, inward. Calming in the awareness of your inner world.
Yoga is concentration. Focusing our thoughts on just one thing that calms the mind.
Yoga is meditation. Complete calming of the mind and the path to the ultimate goal of yoga - the realization of truth, self-realization, inner freedom, liberation from the bonds that make us suffer.
Today I would like to introduce you 6 healing sounds which are part of yoga.
