Mnogo ljudi u moderno vreme želi i pokušava da se hrani zdravo. Ali termin zdrava ishrana je toliko potrošen i toliko puta izrečen u najrazličitijem kontekstu da više čovek ne zna šta ona tačno znači. Kada nekog pitaš šta je zdrava hrana rekao bi jesti voće i povrće, drugi bi rekao da je to upotreba samo organske hrane.Dosta ljudi će reći: ,,Ali bolje je da jedem što više voća i povrća zbog vitamina i minerala.’’ To jeste tačno, ali vitamini se dele u dve velike grupe: liposolbilni (A,D,K,E,F), to su oni vitamini koji se u organizam mogu uneti putem masti, a najveći izbor masti u hrani jeste meso, i druga gupa vitamina jesu hidrosolbilni vitamini ( B kompleks, niacin, folna kiselina…) i oni se unose u prisustvu vode, a to jesu najcešće voće i povrće, takođe telu trebaju proteini da bi se izgradilo, da bi se obnovilo, a proteina u voću i povrću skoro i da nema.
