All of us have its own beliefs, we are equal in our Almighty Creator eyes so we servant of God need to respect each one's believing.
Today is my niece aqiqah (christening in Christian and aqiqah in Islam) Although we only have two official celebrations in Islam which is EID AL FITR (after the RAMADHAN month) and EID AL ADHA (after performing hajj pilgrimage). We grown up with this tradition so until now some of us (muslim/moro) performing it too.
We have holidays but mostly we dont celebrate it. Yesterday is our PROPHET MOHAMMAD S.A.W birthday or we call it MAULUD'N NABI. We dont celebrate it, just we have holiday on this day. Muslim don't have birthdays because in our Islamic calendar we dont have the same date thats the reason, we have our NEW YEAR too or we call it AMMUN JADID. Most of muslims dont celebrate it too, we dont have the same date on next year Muslim New Year. We perform Hajj and fasting but every year its change the date. We Muslim used LUNAR CALENDAR, but some of our muslim too do celebrate new year based on GREGORIAN CALENDAR, most of muslim adopted this tradition too. (pardon me for those who knows better if I have mistakes on my explanation, it based on my knowledge only)
Anyway back to my topic but first kindly visit my generous and amazing sponsors, kindly visit them too if you have sometimes they are all awesome!
This is the second child of my youngest brother, I thought I can made it to be there before aqiqah but theres a reason why I dont made it but I'm so happy with them. May his daughter grow with kindly heart and best health too ameen Insha Allah.
The most important for aqiqah is to have atleast 1 whole sheep or goat to prepare, I know all of us know the story of Prophet Abraham (IBRAHIM in muslims) R.A, a father willing to sacrifice his son's life to follow Gods will, this is the symbol of this goat or sheep based on our beliefs.
We feed them and give Sadaqah, some other visitors are eating in other tables and most visitors are kids in neighbourhood.
They dont have big party, Just simple as we dont have enough budget for this, we need to do Aqiqah whe the baby is still baby 🥰 We believe that what we produce on that day is in Allah's will Alhamdulillah. Im so happy that in despite of this pandemic they still made it, God is good always Alhamdulillah 🤲
I end up in here, hope you guys enjoyed reading it and I hope I dont bother you a lot. Thank you so much to all of my readers, commentors, sponsors and mostly to my upvoters! God bless you all Insha Allah.
