**CRC20 TOKENS EXPLODE ON BCH**
The CashTokens upgrade for BCH that went live on May 15th allows for many new novel uses of BCH due to its newly acquired programmability. Members of the Chinese Bitcoin Cash Community have taken full advantage of this by creating an entirely new token type for BCH called CRC20. BITCOIN CASH METADATA REGISTRIES UPDATED
Jason Dreyzehner, the brain behind CashTokens in the May 15th BCH upgrade, has updated the Bitcoin Cash Metadata Registries (BCMR) github to include some example authenticated metadata that may be included in future contracts that can be shared between wallets. Bitcoin Cash software requires standards for locating and verifying metadata, allowing user-recognizable names, descriptions, icons, ticker symbols, and other information to be associated with on-chain artifacts like identities, tokens, and contract systems.
