First time away from home

Growing up in a small town wasn't enough for Shira, she hasn't taken a step outside her town, not even for once. After she had concluded her high school education she had stayed at home with her parents, her only job is to take care of the house and go farming with her parents. She had given up on education, she didn't want anything to burden her parents, going to a college will be expensive, it's too much of a burden for her parents to bear. Although she didn't open up to her parents that she was once interested in school, maybe they would have helped her in a little way they could afford.

Shira finally gets a chance to visit the city for the first time, she's got some herbs and local medicine to deliver for her sick uncle in the city. She is supposed to go with her mother but her mom had an urgent meeting to attend the previous night. Shira has to leave very early to the park to catch the first bus to the City.

Early the next morning she leaves early to the park after packing all the necessary things she needed for the journey. She waited patiently in the bus for the other passengers to fill up. Sitting next to her is a young girl with a black hoodie on. Shira notices her calm attitude and decided to say hello, despite the fact that Shira grew up in a village, she is brave and courageous though she is a little timid when it comes to somethings but she summoned courage to greet the gentle lady beside her, who knows if they are going the same way.

Unfortunately, the girl replied with a simple nod, that's too harsh, Shira thought within herself. Well she's not the talking type, Shira concluded. Different talks from different angles proceeded in the bus after about an hour drive Shira begins to find herself sleepy, she can't afford to do that. "What's your name she asked the young lady again. The girl looks at her and turns away immediately. "Well, I'm Shira by name" Shira continues but still no reply. "It's my first time in the city and I'm going to my uncle's place to deliver somethings to him" Shira keeps ranting on and on but the lady refuses to speak up. After some minutes, the lady finally replied, she's so happy that her effort were not wasted. Shira tells her full story to the lady. After that, the lady tells her about herself too. She is Jane by name and currently she is running away from home. She's tired of living to please her parents, she had everything a child could ever want but then, her parents wants her to become a lawyer, but she loves singing and will do everything in her power not to give up.

Shira pondered on Jane's decision and realise she didn't give up like she did. Jane is full of energy and ambition, she's not going to give up on her dreams. Even though their paths are totally different, they both had dreams and ambitions but she has given up but the other is not giving up. Shira told her about her dream of becoming an actress. Looking at Jane's life she finds her dream back she has decided to take back her dream and live for it.
