Mentally I'm pretty done recently because death is becomming a topic within my family again. My grandparents, especially my grandpa is not doing well at all... And stupid me is not leaving his room because of mental struggles. My grandparents are living next to us but I haven't visit them in a very long time... I hope his time to go isn't already here. I miss everyone so much. The pain in my chest is indescribable.

Why did I post so much in May? It's because here in Germany there are a lot of national holidays this month and I also put some of my paid holidays this month for extended weekends. Beginning from this month it will become tough. I took no days off from work until November... ๐Ÿ˜ฌ From now on I probably won't post as much anymore again...

Do you know about the music instrument manufacturer called "Steinway & Sons"? My parents always told us that my dads aunt bought a Steinway grand piano for her wedding. When my sister was 16 she even visited her abroad just to play on it. It's one of the very few materialistic things I dream to own one day. I can't play piano well, can't hear a difference between a Steinway and a Yamaha, Bechstein or Blรผthner and I also don't care about status symbols... But this is something that feels so special to me. But before even thinking about that I need to work harder and invest more money. It will be a very looong way of working and investing for me to be able to consider buying a Steinway... You also need a nice living room with a great soundscape that owning a high quality grand piano would make sense...

I rather look broke getting "rich" than trying to look rich getting broke. ๐Ÿค” I'm still driving my cheap car from the scrapyard, my clothes are washed out having holes, I'm not buying much and even if I make sure to find a discount coupon and I'm still living with my father to save on rent. I'm using a cheap redmi phone from 2020, cheap Mi Band 3 from 2018, an iPad Air from 2013 and so on... The only things I spend money on are gifts, travelling and maybe a little bit on Pokemon cards. My advice to everyone who started his/her first job after graduating: Not immediately rising your standard of living is the key to financial stability and success! ๐Ÿค” Even of it's just for a year or two.

@RektflipOnNoiseApp

At the office one of my colleagues who always sits next to me started calling me Florian. And my name is NOT Florian... My name sounds similar, but it's not Florian. ๐Ÿ˜ข So far I have been just playing along because I don't want to cause an awkward situation. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

I wonder why "many" men treat a woman extremely nice and are super handsome when they start to date. BUT when they got what they wanted they stop. After a month, or even after a few years. If I ever would be in a relationship or marriage, I hope I won't become like that. It's clear that things in a relationship change after some time and the initial excitement will change. But I hope I will never stop caring and putting effort into it... I have to ensure that what happened to my mom won't happen to the one I love. Currently even a worse topic than this is coming up in some youtuber drama in Germany where a youtuber was emotionally abusing his girlfriend... And a lot of girls share similar experiences in the comments... They use the term "lovebombing" to describe how men treated them before showing their "real selfes".

The best time to visit Japan is probably this year! ๐Ÿค” - Everything is super cheap because the Yen is rapidly losing value against almost any other currency - Beginning from 2025 there will be high tourism taxes and other measurements to encounter mass tourism - In 2025 the World Expo will be held in Osaka Japan which drives up prices for flights and hotels

The rapid developments regarding AI are so impressive. If it continues like this so many tasks humans need to work a whole day for can be done within seconds by an AI in a nearly perfect quality. So many of the current jobs won't be needed anymore. Everything that is rule or knowledge based could even be already done by an AI. Finance, proof reading, translating, administration, managing, even health diagnosis etc. Instead of a whole team you only need one person to proofread or to execute the task. I see this development at the company where I'm working. For example ALL marketing posts and materials are created by an AI now. Only 2 people are left at the marketing team...

My hair loss is RAPIDLY progressing. Especially the past few months... On the Hamiltonโ€“Norwood scaleย I'm currently at "3 vertex" on the edge to 4 I think. ๐Ÿ˜… But I somehow don't feel that ashamed or uncomfortable anymore. All my colleagues are 20-40 years older than me. But we have one thing in common. And that is our hair line! And most of them are married... It's strange. In general I feel way less stressed out about being an ugly guy after I traveled to Japan. Idk why...

Tari is a cryptocurrency project by a former Monero core team member called Fluffypony. ๐Ÿฆ„๐Ÿด It's a project I was pretty hyped about a few years ago. I even own an early adopter shirt which you where able to get for free by mining testnet Tari on a self compiled fullnode back then. ๐Ÿ˜… Tari is basically a merge-mined sidechain with Monero which can be used for any kind of token related stuff. So NFTs, Tokens, collectibles, games, any kind of digital assets. You may ask yourself why do we need another one besides Solana, Tron, Ethereum, etc.? While these blockchains are fully transparent Tari offers privacy! ๐Ÿ˜ For the mainnet launch they are doing a promotion and giving away free Tari (XTR). Will it be worth it to participate in this airdrop? I have no idea. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ And I usually associate airdrops with scammy projects... But it's Tari so idk... But just in case here is my ref-link if you would like to give it a try! ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜… https://airdrop.tari.com?referralCode=OBbl9745mn

There is something about Japan that will probably surprise you a lot. Boy bands from Korea where a HUGE thing amoung young girls and women. And with HUGE I mean HUUGEE! ๐Ÿ˜… It felt like Korean boy bands where super hyped up and trendy. Sometimes it seemed like there was even more merch for Korean boy bands than for Pokemon. I also saw a lot of pop-up stores which where selling Korean stuff like make-up or sweets. And during the nightlife you saw quite some guys dressing like these Korean boy band members, probably because that's popular amoung girls. Like dyed and styled hair, ear rings, make-up, stylish clothes etc.

When I talk about that I decided to still live together with my father people can't understand. Whether it's my colleagues, mom or sister. It's pretty unusual I think. But for me there is no need to rush to move out. With every additional month I'm still living with my father and can save and invest almost my whole salary I'm gaining a little bit of additional financial security. I'm not in a relationship so if I would rent my own flat I would live paycheck to paycheck not being able to invest a single bit... It might be unusual at the moment and I seem like a "looser". But in 20 years when I'm in my 40s it doesn't matter anymore if I moved out at 25, 28 or 30. But because of compound interest financially the difference is gigantic.

@RektflipOnNoiseApp

Because of these difficult times at work I realize that the company isn't your friend. They make it seem that we all are a huge "family" supporting each other and working on a common goal. But in reality the relationship is only based on ice cold numbers. "The company" wants to make as much money as possible, while we need our salaries. People who have been working here for 15+ years have been fired. Not because they deliver bad results. Just because the management said another X people have to go.

@RektflipOnNoiseApp

Maybe it's just an illusion because I like Japan, but the recent news about the military partnership between Germany and Japan made me think that in general there is quite some cooperation between both countries. ๐Ÿค” For example there is this organization called "Verband Deutsch-Japanischer Gesellschaften" which is pushing German-Japanese friendship and cultural exchange at over 45 locations across Germany. They are also the organizer of this huge Japanese festival in Dรผsseldorf with about 650000 people celebrating Japanese culture and the friendship between Germany and Japan. ๐Ÿค” And when I was in Japan I actually saw a lot of German things. I saw German flags, a German Christmas market with words like "Lecker Glรผhwein", "Bratwurst" and "Bier" and I even met a Japanese grandpa who was able to speak a bit German...

@RektflipOnNoiseApp

One of the first things my grandparents (jokingly) said when I visited them after returning from Japan was: "We would have been so happy if you would have brought a girlfriend back home from your trip". I'm the only one of their grandchildren who isn't in a relationship. I never even had one in my entire life which is pretty unusual at my age. I think that maybe it's something they are a bit sad about. ๐Ÿ˜…

@RektflipOnNoiseApp

Things are pretty tough right now. But when I look at how I had been doing 2 years ago I realize that things could be way worse and I should be "happy" that I'm in this position. For now I have a job, gained a full year of work experience, built up a first tiny step for my future wealth, visited Japan.

@RektflipOnNoiseApp

The corporate life is tough. When things are going well everyone is "friends" and support each other. But when things turn difficult people care about themselfes first. Everyone tries not to be the one who is getting layed off, even if this would mean their "work buddy" will be. I think it's because behind most workers is a family they need to feed and during these difficult economic times for many it's not easy to find a new job... They are aware of that.

@RektflipOnNoiseApp

The marriage of one of my colleagues is completely different compared to the one my parents had... For example when he forgets to text his wife that he arrived safely at the office she calles him. She also always prepares food for his lunch break. On the other hand from time to time he surprises her with things like spontaneous weekend trips to Paris or smaller things like her favourite chocolate or gadgets like an apple watch. He is around the age of my parents, also married for 20+ years... Just in case a miracle would happen and one day I would marry... I would give all I have that things won't turn out like with my parents. A happy and healthy marriage is something so beautiful. I might be ugly and can't be a handsome husband. But that's the reason why I have to keep working hard on myself that I can max out everything else to compensate my physical appearance... It would be my mission to prove that a life long happy marriage exist.

@RektflipOnNoiseApp

This night I wasn't able to calm down and didn't sleep a single hour. When I decided to "wake up" and looked outside I saw that it's full moon. It's ALWAYS like that. Everytime it's full moon I'm not able to sleep without knowing and being aware of that it's full moon again. It can't be imagination... Anyway... Things are pretty tough lately. I'm fighting to survive.

@RektflipOnNoiseApp

I got to know that the traditional bakery in my village will close down very soon. It is a huge shock for me. I'm eating their bread and pastry my whole life... Any other bread doesn't taste the same... Their pastry is exceptional. I'm a German so eating bread for breakfast and dinner is normal for me. There is a reason why dinner is called "Abendbrot" ("evening bread") and breakfast is called "Frรผhstรผck" ("early piece" -> meaning first piece of bread). Bread for Germans is what rice is for Japanese. You can take everything from me... But please not the bread... ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜”

@RektflipOnNoiseApp

When I was ~9 years old I bought my very first manga. The first volume of One Piece, Naruto AND Dragon Ball. I was reading these over and over again. Rest in Peace Akira Toriyama. ๐Ÿ˜”

@RektflipOnNoiseApp

Did anyone notice that BCH went up 50% this week? I was waiting for such a jump for some time. I just sold a few of my BCH for BTC. ๐Ÿ˜… I wanted to reduce my BCH position for a while now. In the past you saw these pumps again and again while BCH constantly keeps depreciating against BTC. ๐Ÿค” Who knows... Maybe I will regret doing this. ๐Ÿ˜…

@RektflipOnNoiseApp

When I went to the office this week it was rough. Two of the management went to our location, people where shouting at each other, the boss of my boss got fired and the mood was kinda not that nice. I was sitting at my desk and was just thinking: "what is even happening right now...? ๐Ÿ˜ข". My senior developer colleagues are pretty chill about this situation. They told me that I should relax and when I get fired I just create an account at business portals called "LikedIn" and "Xing" and get flooded with job offers by recruiters. They don't know how tough it is to find a job as a junior software developer these days... Things have changed.

@RektflipOnNoiseApp

But it's an investment! ๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿ˜‚ For many it's unbelivable that a piece of printed cardboard can have value. Even can be worth more than your car or your house. But it's just about rarity, scarcity, supply and demand. And demand fuled by nostalgia is strong!

@RektflipOnNoiseApp

My Japanese teacher at university once said that having a Japanese girlfriend is expensive. And she is a Japanese woman. When I was in Japan I was surprised how important fashion and expensive brands are for Japanese people, especially for the females. The luxury shopping street was FULL of couples. Boyfriends got literally dragged into these stores... ๐Ÿ˜ณ Especially jewelry and expensive hand bags seemed to be extremely popular amoung females. I personally don't care about looking rich and don't care about fashion. I just wear what's practical and comfy. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฆ

@RektflipOnNoiseApp

The mood at work is pretty bad. Everyone is stressed out and scared of being fired. Currently about 200 colleagues got laid off and if things won't turn better many more will follow. ๐Ÿค• The management is looking at every single employee if he/she is actually needed for keeping the company running. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ‘€ This year will be a tough one.

@RektflipOnNoiseApp

Expectation VS Reality ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ I was trying to bake Pokemon cookies. ๐Ÿค•๐Ÿคง I'm not talented at all when it comes to precise tasks... But at least they tasted not that bad I guess...

@RektflipOnNoiseApp

In my opinion Bitcoin's biggest downside is it's community. These Bitcoin maximalists are basically like a cult or a sect. - Criticism isn't "allowed", will be blocked and marked as fud or hate. - They only consume their own Bitcoin maximalist news to build their opinion. - They refuse any other opinion than "Bitcoin only". - Bitcoin is seen as the only way to be saved, anything else is said to be doomed. - They exclude any non maximalist from their community. - People who stop being a Bitcoin maximalists are talked bad about and are being "canceled". - Many blindly follow what their "leaders" "preach". (Adam Back, Samson Meow, Michael Saylor, Max Keiser etc.)

@RektflipOnNoiseApp

Do you know the cryptocurrency called Monero? If you are reading my posts for a while probably yes. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜… On the one hand it's not feeling super nice "losing" so much money within a few minutes, on the other hand it's a risk I was aware taking and it's super exciting. ๐Ÿค” Why? Because when it's illegal to trade Monero and you can't buy it on official exchanges anymore the price of it is only determined by atomic swaps, p2p trades, DEXs and black markets. This will reveal the true value of Monero. Either it will be 10$ or 1000$. ๐Ÿ˜‚

No matter how much you earn or in which financial situation you are I would suggest you to do use a budget planner. Having an overview over your finances is so important for your financial stability and future planning. I'm currently trying out the free accounting software "Eqonomize!" because the app I used last year had too many ads... In the picture you can see the evaluation on what I have spent my salary on in January. ๐Ÿ˜… "Miete" is what I have to pay my dad for living with him. "Sparen" is what I save away for travelling and gifts. "Investment" is my ETF savings plan. "Sonstige" are any other expenses like Pokemon cards, gadgets, gas or Bitcoin.
