Because of these difficult times at work I realize that the company isn't your friend. They make it seem that we all are a huge "family" supporting each other and working on a common goal. But in reality the relationship is only based on ice cold numbers. "The company" wants to make as much money as possible, while we need our salaries. People who have been working here for 15+ years have been fired. Not because they deliver bad results. Just because the management said another X people have to go.

It's a bit sad. People work hard for the company for years, feel proud about working there, even wear the companies merch. But then the company gets rid of them because they are nothing more than a number in the managements equasions... How do you like this book so far?
It's an awakener for me. Although its context is rooted from the Singapore where the hustle culture is really intense, it is still relatable worldwide. I can say that this book is what I've been looking for when it comes to understanding money and it is specifically written for millennials and gen z, so it's not difficult to grasp the concept and ideas. Not to mention that the creators of this are so creative. One thing I've realized from this book so far is that you are working for the rest of your life and you are one of those entering the rat race if you can't find the way how to make money work for you. While at the same time, developing a skill can be your asset. All the things written there are very useful and they mentioned happiness, luck, lying flat or hustling hard, background. Yeah, all the good things that will change your view when it comes to understanding work and money. 🙂
