This was a great update for the betterment of the platform. But much changes will happen after this update. I hope that everyone now will start to be more serious in publishing in this platform.

If the majority of participants can understand it - sure, why not. However I understand English and I don't understand Tagalog or Bengali - it makes no sense for people like me to participate in a community that publishes in these two languages. However, if they publish in two local dialects that majority probably understands somehow - sure.
Just to clarify, I can understand Bahasa Melayu(Malaysia and Indonesia), Kadazan from Sabah and English. One of my moderator is Dutch and the other one speaks Spanish. Will that be alright if we accepted all that language? But I have not seen any articles in Bahasa Melayu or Kadazan here. (No need to reply on this, I got the answer from comments below 😅)
i don't fully understand i'm sorry. i'm new here and i made my own community. so, if the community isn't featured does that mean whatever we post on that community won't give us any point? and also, what do you mean by topic... can you give me examples of what community should be publish our journal-like (eg: 'why i love surprises' , 'my daily routine' ,etc) article since 'you can post anything' community will not be featured. i'm really sorry i'm just confused. also, those articles that we published on community that wasn't approved to be featured, what happens to them? will we still get points in those or should we remove it there and publish it to the newly featured community? thanks in advance for your answer.

It should be about something useful to other people. You can probably check https://read.cash/communities to see the examples of topics. Photography (as in how to take good pictures), travel, politics, specific religions, collecting coins, philosophy, psychology, cooking (but we'll be closely monitoring for content to be original, since most of the recipes are copy-paste), language learning, travelling to specific countries. We will sometimes accept local communities when they really revolve around local events (like what's going on in your city), but it should prove useful to participants, writing (as in tips to how write better, not "here's 3 lines that I wrote this morning"), history, art (again, will be decided on case-by-case basis, because basically you can call anything art and claim that any content is a form of art), parenting, COVID, cryptocurrencies, cryptography, hacking, technologies, future, aging, data science, relationship advice, design, programming, crafts, do-it-yourself instructions, short stories written by authors (on a case-by-case basis), hardware, nomadic life, computer science, meditation, science, magic, architecture, historical events, local travel information for tourists, 3D graphics, sci-fi, music, theatre, ... I could go on and on, but it should be about something useful to other people. Nothing, you already got points for them and these points were converted to Bitcoin Cash, nothing will change (unless you delete the article, in that case we take 20 points back and you get negative points balance, which is expected, since we paid for the article and you delete it, we expect our money back :) )

thank you. it will be a lot help to newbies like me. i have another question though, im sorry, how would we know if our own community got approved or not. if it still havent notified whether it is approved or not does that mean it's still in the process? i have a community with no notification yet. the other was not approved. i need to fix it i guess hehe
You will get a notification, if you haven't - it's still in process. There are tons of communities, so it will take us days to go through them.
nice. I have time to moderate it then. hehe. Will the pointing system about articles submitted to featured and nonfeatured communities take effect now or after you're done with the process? cause I plan to submit an article to my own community that was not approved because I'm trying to meet the new qualifications of a featured community. You said that it may still be approved some time if it meet the qualifications so I'm trying to moderate it now too. I'm really sorry for asking so many questions, I really just wanna be clean in this website.
It will take at least a few days to implement the changes necessary for the updates to the points system, so it won't take effect for the next few days. Anyways if your community is generally good, but violates a rule or two that can be fixed (like there are a few articles in foreign language), we will usually give time to fix it (a week or so) after which we will re-evaluate your community. Anything submitted now is still submitted using old rules. Frankly, you can still do anything on read.cash (except illegal stuff), the only change is to what will get points.

I also want to be clean here. Should I remove all accepted articles that are not according to requirements from my communities to have a chance of being one of the featured communities?
You don't have to remove the, They will deduct points from you because they already paid for that article in your account in the previous days. That's what they said

No I meant your own articles. If you remove unrelated articles in your community, that's fine. Just don't erase your own article in your profile.

Doesn't mean that we will also be notified if our communities are rejected? But the notifications is a bit messy(no offense) and I can't hardly find comments that In want to reply.

No offence just curious. If you weren't given points for a published article and you delete the article, will you still have negative points?
No, the system looks for the amount of points previously given and deducts exactly that amount.

Since we can't change the community name, what can we do for our community to be approved as featured aside from moderating it like removing unrelated articles and the qualified number of articles posted
Nothing. You will have to create a new one and wait for people to join. Also you will have to publish yourself most of the articles (until rules are changed) to be considered to qualify. You can't change the name as it goes against the rules. Hence, consider your old community dead, will never be featured.
What I did was Editted the rules and taglines and removed all unrelated posts. So it will become a single topic community. I hope it will be enough to be approved someday. :)
This is good and it will boost up the platform to become a high-quality contents channel in the future. I really appreciate the updates and thankful for your effort. I am not a brilliant writer and I cannot write other things other than my own thoughts to be shared with others. I am not sure if I can make it here with this new rules but I will try my best to meet your requirements.

Maybe you can create a community with tips on how to write better (during your own research on how to do it better)? There are a ton of things that people can find useful for them, you just need to look inside you. We're just trying to make people be focused on helping other people, rather than just making money in the process. By no means I'm a writer, I don't think that even https://read.cash/@Cain who is one of the most successful writers here considers himself to be a big-time writer. Just try to be genuinely useful and write things that other people will find useful and you'll find yourself at home at read.cash after the update. I frankly think that many genuine people including you will find it even more interesting.
Hobbies, perhaps singing and playing the guitar but I am not very good at it and it takes me time to make one song done. I watch do watch television, but none particular. Most are cartoon because of my two years old daughter. Future? I am interested in the future but what kind of articles would you be expecting about the future? I am going to dig deeper in me and see what I got. How about motivational writing? Will that do? I just wrote one article which I think is motivation articles but it is base on my thoughts. Let me know if that can be accepted, and I will fight for that kind of writing in my current communities. If not, I will try again until I meet your requirements. Thank you for making this update, it made me a bit down but I believe this is for a better future and I will work on it until I am out of ideas. I'll seek for your articles for guidance. If I can't find one, I'll be bugging you in the mail. 😅😅
Needless to say this system will kill most of the existing communities since they can't readjust to meet this specific criteria. The new ones also won't get it easier since no one would probably publish anymore in a non-feautured community, but the creators. The small topics also will suffer a lot from this cause there won't be enough articles of such, as well as the languages (appart from English). On the other hand you can still have 50 Featured communities on cryptocurrencies, where isn't needed that much. Sorry to say this changes may guard the fund but are far from being encouraging to write exclusive content for the platform.
Most of the communities aren't even communities - people post to 70+ communities just because they accept anything, these have to go now. Right now everybody is concentrated on writing about "anything", because that's what pays. Now it changes and you'll have to select a real topic to write on. Do people who really wrote previously on "any" topic stop just because you need to select the topic now? No, they'll find something interesting to write about. People looking for a quick buck will leave, yes. but will you miss [this](https://read.cash/@Kamrul16/english-2nd-paper-5c9a06c7) or [this](https://read.cash/c/blastingnews-9df3/post-99738080)?
People will still continue to write about "any"thing while communities accept it. When there's isn't enough communities (or any at all) in the topics+languages they know, they will try to move to the more accepted topics, killing effectively the small ones. Moderators will be less permissive fearing they might loose their featured status, and that's ok, but what's "interesting to write about" is subjective. I can be very much interested in writing about how mini skateboard is build using paper and wood, and no user (or moderator) would care. Since general topics can't be featured people will soon find their articles don't fit or wont go through (language+topic). Is a rollback to wait and see if your content is noticed and upvoted. In theory it looks like then people will start to write marvelous content to the high standards, but in reality what would happen is just a few will, in detriment of all others (new authors included which are just trying to get started) thus favoring elitism.
First of all, if these people are interested in writing about building skateboards from paper and wood they are still totally free to do so: we're not shutting down **any** communities, we're not closing down the way to write without any community at all. I also don't see why "Building mini-skateboards from paper and wood" or "কাগজ এবং কাঠ থেকে মিনি-স্কেটবোর্ড তৈরি করা" (the same in Bangla) would not be accepted as a featured community. It **will** be accepted, because it's a single topic, single language, not plagiarism, etc... We love weird specific topics. What we don't like is generic unspecific boring affiliate-program ridden communities. Here's a real example for you: https://read.cash/c/malaysia-numismatic-history-b9b6 it's a featured community already! By one guy, doing one thing (Malaysia Numismatic History), very specific. Very much accepted.
Maybe it would be accepted when it has over 10 posts in their specific language, yet the movement of that community over time will be near zero (so a featured state nearly put to waste). Anyway, that was the only thing you get from all that I just said? The weird example? 🤪
BTW they won't "guard the fund", since the fund will be giving away exactly the same amount as previously, but to less people (meaning more money for each deserving individial).
"may" guard, or may not. But since you lost quite some money recently to a single spammer, I think it might just protect you from loosing those amounts in a single day. That seems to be the reason behind.
That is what i also thinks, the changes means there will be no much articles published daily since the featured Communities do not fit into many writer's specification
The more new developments from read.cash, the better the communities and read.cash at large.

I'm an admin of one Community that allow any post because no name it free to share you interest. Since my work is not focused on one topic. But after I reading the new rules I decided to remove it, My question is can I create 2 or more Community were I can't post my others works since now is we need to be specific?

I have been checking the posts allowed in my communities and still wasn't selected. Rejected tonnes of posts, way more than i accept. So Effort to support quality is not always rewarded. Oh well, just my second "cost" to support a successful RC ;) lol
A community I moderate was marked as featured, but ever since the point system was implemented I have not had a single valid submission, but the number of submissions increased dramatically when submission to a community became a requirement to earn points. I have stated this more times than I've wanted so far, but I don't like the point system. At all. It causes havoc on the incentives and makes people act in abusive ways. It reduces the previous very strong signal, to mostly noise. That said, here's two "solutions" that would specifically reduce the amount of worthless spam I have to moderate: 1) Allow me to set my community to a point-free zone, and warn those who might submit that if I accept their submission, it will not count points **anywhere**. 2) Allow me to set an entry fee they have to pay to submit **for moderation**. The fee should be returned upon approval but when rejected is lost for the user and I don't care what you do with it as long as you don't return it to the person who did the submission.
Home page is way better since you added featured communities, that's seem this update was needed. Thanks for your work.
The rules are clear. It's a pity we have to reject good content in different languages now (feels a bit like discrimination) but it will make moderating easier. Thanks for the update and the hard work. 👍🍀💕
The problem is that you need to think about the readers. Most readers don't speak two-three-five languages, so for them a community that's in two languages is at least 50% useless.
