When Life Shouts at you
February 18th, 2022.
Life can sometimes be overwhelming, and when it shouts at us, we need to take a step back and focus on our well-being. Whether you're single, married, or friends, through life's challenges, stay strong.
When life shouts at you, it can be hard to stay positive. That's why it's important to have a support network of friends and family who can help you get through tough times. No one knows what you're going through better than your loved ones, so don't be afraid to lean on them when you need to.
I've been offline for two days due to reasons beyond my control.
It's been a tough week. On Wednesday I was slightly ill and had to leave work for home. The students in my school were writing their mid-term tests, so I was asked to supervise the Senior Secondary School One(S.S.S.1) students. I gladly did it until around noon when I felt this heavy heat from within. Before I knew it I was sweating profusely, I couldn't handle sitting calmly again. I then went to the school principal to seek for permission to go home, and it was granted while someone else continued with the investigation.
Yesterday's event was a slap on my integrity and it all began when a friend who was saving money with me requested It. Before that, I have decided not to use banks for savings, as banks would deduct unnecessary fees.
So, when my friend gave me the money I bought some BCH with it and I was glad I did because it yielded an increase. But when the friend requested for the money on Wednesday evening, I promised that I was going to send it on Thursday morning, I tried selling on remitano, but it was not easy due to remitano's shortage of Nigerian naira. I had to withdraw through p2p with the help of @HappyBoy
Now, here's where the real problem started. Yesterday morning, I wanted to transfer the money to the owner but was unable to, at first I thought it was network, only to check my account balance and get a short message of
Current balance: xxxxxxnaira (the real amount)
Available balance: xxxxxx naira (less than 10%of the total money)
I was furious and tried calling the customer care line of the bank but it didn't go. I was trying as much as possible to keep my cool. The friend was already calling for the money I didn't know how to say that the money is gone.
Then I decided to make another BCH sale, but this time I needed fast track. @Amazing-grace came to my aid. Then when he sent the money, he notified me that the account name was different from my name, I hurriedly stood up, dressed up and left for the bank. (I wore the cloth the wrong way, but didn't even mind, lol ๐)
I spent close to 2 hours outside the bank before I was allowed in(covid-19 protocols and all). I went to the customer care unit and laid my complaints then I was told I had a glitch in my bank account, someone(i said someone because it wasn't me) used my ATM card for an online transaction which caused the deduction, but the money is still in my ledger.
I was asked to cancel the ATM and get a new one, which I did, now the situation is partially sorted, my account is safe, though I've not gotten my money back.
Thank God my friend understood, I was so scared to pick up my friends call until the case was settled.
When Life shouts at you, it can be overwhelming. At times like these, it's important to remember that you're not alone. Reach out to the people you love, talk to them about what's going on, and take some time for yourself.
When life shouts at you, it can be tough to stay positive. That's why it's important to have a strong support system, whether that's friends, family, or a loving community of online strangers.
So many people have reached out to me with kind words and offers of assistance, and I'm truly blessed. Keep your head up and know that you're not alone. There's always someone out there who loves and supports you(even if not all).
I want to remind you that you are not alone. If you're going through a tough time, please know that there are people who care about you and want to help.
I can totally understand your frustration. These banks can be something else sometimes
